Pets: A runt Rancor, about 6-7 feet tall, named Ayar
Personality: Aa lives purely on instinct. She often hunts with Ayar in deserts, and each uses separate senses to seek out the largest prey before killing and eating it. Aa thinks of Ayar as more of a combat brother than a pet. It takes a while for Aa to make connections with people, but once they've proven their loyalty she treats them as family. Her favorite things to do are hunt, eat and kill.
History: Aa was born in a small tribe of elite warriors on Aar. She hunted with the rest of the females in her tribe when she was six as a 'coming of age' type event. On her first raid, she caught and killed four animals, all members of the largest species in the desert. Her family and she feasted on the animals, and she was honored throughout the tribe.
When she was eight years old, she set off to start her own tribe. This was a tradition in her culture; for the best hunter to leave and survive a year in the desert before gathering other warriors. The top warriors of all the tribes would fight in the desert, with no equipment. When a single person had defeated each of the others, they would become head of the tribe. In the final round of this tournament, Aa fought for hours with her opponent, a young male named Ar'yara. Eventually, Aa defeated her opponent. However, breaking the rules of tradition which she had respected so much, she allowed Ar'yara to become the leader of the new tribe. Aa left the tribe, and journeyed across the desert planet.
After one human year of exploring, Aa came across the wreckage of a Jedi transport. Among the wreckage were three dead bodies, one live Jedi, and several food packs. Aa used her newly crafted blades to kill the Jedi (he had been unconscious) and she ate as much as she could, leaving the rest for the next explorer to come. Soon after, she came across another ship. This, however, contained living scientists, who, after spending a while studying Aar'aa culture and learning the language, offered to transport Aa to a distant place where she could learn new things and meet new people. She wasn't sure about the learning, but she was very interested in meeting new species of people that she could test her abilities against.
Aa spent several more years traveling with the scientists. They found her to be a useful tool; she decided not to eat them. They explored many new worlds, and Aa was able to test her skills against many new creatures. The one that she found most interesting was the Rancor. She had fought a Rancor owned by a man on a forest world, and she was amazed by the challenge and the connection between the giant and it's tiny master. She could not find any other Rancors on that world, however, so she asked the man where he had found his. He flew her across the galaxy to a secret cave in a desert. By now she had forgotten about the scientists, overwhelmed by her new fascination. The man, whose name was Ivak, was able to take a runt that had been left for dead in the desert, and gave it to Aa. Ivak informed her that iit was a male, so she named it Ayar.
She has now spent one year with Ayar, and as he has grown he has proven his loyalty many times. Aa has been to the far corners of the galaxy and has returned to join the most bloodthirsty pirates that she has ever seen or heard of. She has offered to join the Red Shadows in their missions, as long as she can get some hunting time every so often.
