Advent Rising

Now I know this is an old game but I was wondering wether anyone else had played it? I haven't completed the game on my own and likely never will but I have seen every cut-scene and I have to say that this game's story line was much better than Halo's.

Never played it, read some reviews and seen some gameplay didn't appeal to me. Heard a lot of people say it was crap. Just opinions though, I've played games rated as shitty and loved them.

It is a fairly decent game with a great story a large amount of the bad reviews come from the fact that when they first tried to sell the game they had a contest that offered a rather large cash sum to whoever one it. The contest wasn't real it was just to promote the game and that pissed off a large amount of people and in turn those people gave the game bad reviews despite it being what in my opinion is a great game.
