Description: The Willhelm United Alliyah Model Malta Class Gunship. Despite the extreme age of the company which had gone defunct many thousand years ago, this particular ship has served long and hard through the best and worst of times bringing a sliver of hope to those who need it. Physically, the current Alliyah contains little of what it originally did aside from the durasteel frame. It was originally found as a floating derelict over a hundred years ago, stripped down and resurrected from the grounds up by smugglers and passed down as time went on. It was sold, traded, impounded, bet, inherited. And all those with it gave it their personal touches, the work of innumerable faceless craftsmen.

-Frame
From the very core of its frame to the stabilising tips of the engine nacelles, this ship is one of a kind with an immense number of subsystems to back it. The frame at its core is designed to be extremely strong, and is made primarily out of high quality durasteel tubing, areas where the frame was damaged or cracked are overlayed with phrik plating and held in place by both welding and large bolts connecting it dead through the center. The actual Joints between pieces of Tube are done in a similar manner with near perfectionist welding and Phrik bolting. The idea though wasn't so much to make the frame overall strong, but to reinforce the areas it needed it most, that even under some of the heaviest of damage the joints would hold it together without the superstructure breaking apart short of being cut in half itself. Further more the frame was given a powder coating of ground Asbesto to stop any internal flames from potentially compromising the frame.

-Armour
Surrounding the frame and all the precious wires and vents it contains is the ALLIYAH's exterior armoured hull. To give it adequate protective qualities it was built using a layered system boasting moderate all around protective benefits from a variety of threats. The external most layer of armour is thick, high strength, durasteel. It comes in a total of three flavours. 300mm, 200mm, and 450mm plates. The 450mm plates are exclusively used to the ALLIYAH's fighter style ejectable cockpit and nothing else due to their extreme weight. The large 300mm plates largely populate high traffic areas and those that guard needed things. The outer facing panels of the Engine Nacelles, the top and bottom of the central body. Most other places on the exterior make use of 200mm plates, these are primarily areas that face inwards toward the craft and are extremely difficult to get shot at during combat situations and at angles that often put more steel in the way of the projectiles than normal.

The armour itself is designed with angles in mind taking into account common attack approach vectors in such a way that when under attacks projectiles are highly unlikely to hit the ship dead on, instead on partial angles, the effect of this is not only that it's more likely for things such as slugs to bounce or graze off but anything that hits needs to go through a much thicker amount of steel than it otherwise would have to on a flat surface.

Underneath the primary layer of armour is the secondary shock layer which consists of an extremely thick gel. This Gel, which is set in a metal lattice to support itself, pushes up against the armour itself, while large bolts running running into the frame connect it to the armour to keep it from simply floating away. Without this Gel, if someone were to push on an armoured panel the bolt would slide inwards, in effect the Gel acts like a shock absordbing impacts and expanding. This may seem counter-intuitive but the primary job of this layer is to deal with the shock of concussive effects such as missiles or ramming. When such effects come into play force is distributed from the armoured panel and throughout the Gel layer, saving internal structure and frame work from otherwise damaging stress. It is also a strong insulator and effectively allows armoured sheets to break ablatively break away should they take sufficient extreme damage.

A layer underneath that is the ships radiological shielding layer. In order to protect itself against such threats without the use of shields it possesses a final internal layer which consists of a mixture of powdered lead with a small percentage of neuranium that is is no way significant for purposes of providing physical armour. However the radiological protection is not perfect, though highly effective it merely lowers the amount of radiation that passes through so that safety limits are reached as a vastly reduced rate. This though, is enough to allow someone to fly through radiation hotspots without too much concern for their own health.

The final layer is the ships internal hull which consists solely of 100mm durasteel sheeting. Once this is defeated all that remains inside is the metal framing, wires and piping that runs through the framing, and the interior walls (Much like drywall and framing), effectively at this point the hull is breached and air will most likely begin to leak out.

- Cockpit
The ships Cockpit is another story all together and is in theory separate from the rest of the ship as a whole. Despite the size of the ship, containing both a cargo hold, places to sleep, eat, and clean oneself, the Cockpit is effectively just a larger version of one that a person would see on a fighter craft. Completely self contained and sealed it comes complete with life support, an engine, some small comunications equipment, and isn't too far removed from the spirit of such designs as the compact TIE-Fighter though nowhere near as versatile or armed. On ejection small charges on the frontal armour (Blue above the nose guns) and connectors holding it to the rest of the ship fire and disconnect it from the rest of the body, leaving it with its nose guns, a small engine, and little equipment. This is best only used in the most dire of situations.

Internally the cockpit is fairly simple. A pressurized and magnetically sealed door is at the back, on the interior there is basic standing room in the back and a single seat in the middle. And at the front along the heavily armoured front side of the craft is a digital display which displays itself through various heavily EM Shielded cameras in the hull and in front of the cockpit itself, keeping the pilot both safe and well informed of the situation. From this position the pilot has practical control of everything, a flight stick, pedals, a throttle, a swing in keyboard and mouse for more complex operations. The pilot can in effect do everything the ship has for possibly options from the cockpit, tune artificial gravity, open doors, power engines, all without needed to do it through physical means.

The main operating system and storage devices for the ships internal computers, are located conveniently just beneath the pilots seat, allowing for a quick pull and replace to hard reset anything that might cause issues with the ships operation from viruses or medelling about.

- Engines
At the Heart of the ALLIYAH sits a pair of modified AeroTech 990 NRZ's, an all in one nuclear reactor and Ion Drive, the two in total generate a combined 242,000Kw/h of electricity at peak output, created by an array of magnets and coils spinning at nearly 32,000RPM within each of the two engine nacelles, the Ion component of the engine producing a forward energy of 1,800KN of force per engine at peak output and a rearward output of approximately 450KN per engine. In addition to thrust vectoring and the ability to route thrust to various Reaction Contorl System Outlets along the hull to provide for fine manoeuvring such as turning or spinning, the inside of each engine nacelle is also home to an Inertial Navigation System.

The Inertial navigation systems is effectively in the shortest answer a large gyroscope. Manufactured of Osmium, perhaps the densest naturally occuring element short of Neuranium, the gyroscopes contain a veritable mass of movable material capable of forcefully wrenching the ship around on a moments notice and slamming the occupants around, especially when combined with appropriate use of the vectoring and Reaction Control systems, giving it a high degree of mobility, at least until appropriately damaged.

As the reactor systems only generate power themselves, they are also connected to an array of high capacity lithium-sulfur batteries. These batteries themselves are not enough to power the ship,

- Life Support Systems
In order to keeps its occupants preferably alive and at least moderately comfortable The ALLIYAH is equipped with a variety of life support sub systems much like most any ship one will find on the market, the exact setup though is perhaps a bit different. The ships internal heating components come with a primary system and a backup system both fairly primitive in nature. The first system relies on using the Ion Engines and their respective reactors, as well as the onboard weapons systems to provide heat to the rest of the ship by piping heated reactor coolant throughout the ship and its components. These pipes primarily run just inside the inner hull among the accessible frame work though hidden behind the interior walling and under the flooring, this provides a constant warmth for the occupant with the luxury of nice heated floors. The secondary system is used in the event of a breach in the pipes which are shut off and switch to a low power electrical heater to keep the ship at a survivable temperature though little more.

The ships oxygen systems are designed to run for months on end. At the heart of the system lies a single 220 Litre Phrik Air tank pressurised to 830 Bars, A total 182,600 Liters of pure oxygen at almost the maximum compressibility of oxygen. To extend this oxygen various steps were taken to recycle it appropriately. All Oxygen that is unused is put back into circulation, nitrogen which is not consumed by the human body is kept also to prevent oxygen poisoning, a majority of C02 is simply vented out into the vacuum of space, or the atmosphere. On average a normal human being will cycle 11,000 Liters of gas through their lungs, 20% of which is oxygen, Or about 2200 Liters of oxygen per day. However, of that 20% oxygen, only about 5% is used per breath, thus a human needs only 550 Liters of oxygen, on average, per day. In total the available oxygen will keep a single human occupant alive for 365 Galactic Standard Days.

The oxygen system itself is equipped with appropriate backup and emergency systems as well. Should a compartment be breached, oxygen feed will immediately cease, leaving occupants to find themselves whatever emergency available breath masks are available, or evacuate to a near by compartment. Should Oxygen be unable to feed into a compartment, either from destruction of the Air tanks, or through rupture of the oxygen lines, small oxygen tanks hidden under the floor boards and in the walls will begin to feed oxygen into the compartment through the existing lines while valves will close off the leaking line. Through this a single compartment can expect to get three days worth of oxygen.

The final part of the life support system is water supply. Inside the ship a primary set of six 250 Liter water drums affixed to a 50 Liter water heater supplies the primary water supply throughout the ship, once again running pipes through the framing in the walls and floors. These connect to the sinks, drinking fountains, and showers of the ship. In the event of system failure, sinks come with an internal pump and water resevoire with a 25 liter capacity, The shower with a full 100 liters capacity for use in emergency situtations.

- Submersible Capabilities
Out of a need to evade those seeking one as well as scour the seas for valuables the Alliyah has further been equipped with equipment allowing it to submerge itself in water for extended periods of time. To Facilitate this submerging the Alliyah uses not only its own weight but also ballast tanks embeded within the engine nacelle areas allowing it to alter its bouyance to a neutral point by taking in itself a small amount of water. Once bouyancy has been neutralised the ship is able to propel itself using repulsor lift technology rather than its inbuilt Ion Engines which are closed to prevent possible flooding from seawater. Instead rearward facing repulsors force the ship forward by pressing against the water behind it.

Further the ship is also equipped with topward facing repulsors as well as ones facing towards the ground as is standard on a starship for VTOL Takeoffs. The Repulsors affixed along the top allow the ship to roll or pitch under the water by applying pressure against water above certain ends of the craft, the ones along the bottom allow for a quick takeoff up or further rolling and pitching capabilities with variable pressure. The ones along the rear can further be used to apply yaw to the craft itself. However the absence of forward facing repulsors leave it unable to put itself in reverse.

However its submerisble properties are not without any limitation, at the most with its hull the Alliyah is capable of reaching a depth of 490 Meters below sea level.

- Sensory Equipment
Like many ships, this one possesses an array of sensory and transmissions equipment at its disposal to aid in both standard operations procedures and slightly more covert practises should the pilot and crew require such things. As for basic communications it possseses a wide spectrum transceiver capable of broadcasting not only on standard civillian frequencies but also those allocated to various services such as military, police, Holonet, commlink, communicators, even standard radio frequencies reserved for music playing stations. Though in violation of Both old Alliance and Imperial law, it's rarely checked. In addition to this it also has an onboard cipher machine for encrypting and decrypting transmissions provided propper keys have been created or are known.

In terms of detection technologies the Alliyah is equipped with perhaps a few too many things in those regards. The first technology it has is a RADAR system which operates by firing off radio signals and detection the fractions of ones that are reflected back. Though it has accuracy up to a hundred kilometres, up to nearly a thousand on capital class ships, It is extremely inaccurate only able to tell the direction, and rough distance of anything that pops up without regard for what it could possibly be and only a slight sense of how large it might be. The second piece of technology is makes use of is LiDAR Detection.

LiDAR unlike RADAR isn't so broad spectrum, in fact it can't actually operate without knowing there's something for it to be used on in the first place. The system operates by using low power lasers on targets, the exact power of the laser varying by distance which are for the most part invisible to the naked eye and unobtrusive enough to pass through regular shields without so much as a fuss. Using this, not only can the exact distance to a target be calculated, but through use of laser scanning and high precision sensors a high resolution 3D Model can be constructed of an object from long distances, A body at a ten to twenty kilometers, a small freighter about fifty, and capitals at several hundred kilometers. In addition to allowing someone a better picture of exactly what they're looking at it can also be used for survey applications of planets, mapping out elevations and height maps as well as terrain.

SONAR, Short for SOund NAvigation And Ranging is an aging historic technology of using Sound waves under water to detect. Much like RADAR, SONAR is unreliable detecting proper signatures from approximately Four kilometers out at most due to difficulties in scanning for things under water. However, the SONAR suites are easily overcharged, giving them effective use as an ANTI-FROGMAN weapon, producing frequencies loud enough to cause heating and cavitation within the bodies of unprotected persons, causing moderate discomfort and hearing difficulties at a range of 250 Meters and quickly elevating to lethal levels around 50 Meters distance against an unarmoured fabric wearing target. Targets wearing pressure suits or otherwise sealed suits should be well protected and in no danger.

MAGDAR, A rarely used form of sensor technology dating back thousands of years due to its specialised nature. A MAGDAR, Or Magnetronic Radar is a remote sensing system which revolves around observation of planetary magnetic fields as large ferromagnetic objects, such as fighters, ships, or even large ore deposits will warp the local magnetic field. However, MAGDAR is extremely finnicky in its operation. It is unable to distinguish between what anything is and can solely point a person in the direction of a magnetic interference with only a rudimentary guess at exact distance. Interference with MAGDAR is easily done up through electrical storms or EM Field generators and further it cannot be used in space except for in extremely close quarters over 500 Meters due to an absence of local magnetic fields. However, it isn't without strengths either, few stealth systems are designed with masking of magnetic signatures in mind. Finally it is also extremely responsive as magnetic fields, unlike radio waves or sound, operate at the speed of light.

On Further Detection equipment, the ship is also equipped with, Geiger Counters, A fish finder and various spectrometers.

- Shielding Systems
Manufactured by Rosenthal Galactic the Alliyah makes use of a custom tuned SHJ-1100A Model Shield Generator. Though Nothing to write home about the shield is fairly effective, a ray type shield designed to fend off high energy shots such as plasma, lasers, or blasters. The tuning that has been done to it makes the shield extremely strong, but fairly unstable. It's intensity is strong enough to vaporise most common particles within space, small rocks, and other bits of space junk floating about that would otherwise risk harming the ship to a small extent. Most projectiles such as missiles or even shells are generally fast enough to pass through the field unharmed to deliver their payloads.

Against lasers and similar energy type attacks the shield itself is extremely strong, but once again fairly unstable. Though capable of surviving two or three blows from the weapons of a corvette or frigate, repeated small arms fire, even from similar gunships will rapidly destabilise and collapse the shield bubble. Though it will reform itself after ten to fifteen seconds, those unshielded seconds are critical.

- Landing Gear
For the puposes of not slamming the ship onto the ground this ship is equipped with a set of landing gear underneath her. Supporting its massive weight is a set of four wheels, One under the nose, one at the back under the central body, and more under each of the engine nacelles. The wheels themselves are made of solid rubber reinforced with long strands of braded durasteel wiring that run below the surface adding both resistances and strength to them. Affixed to each of the wheels is a simple electrical motor which is used to propel the ship forward along the ground, which combined with a frontal nose wheel that is able to navigate ground terrain at approximately 40km/h, wheeling itself out of hangars or even on the desert ground under the radar.

- Frontal Nose Guns
It's said that no ship is complete without a nice gun, and if that is the case, this ship is definitely complete. The first and lightest of its weapons, Manufactured by Albrecht Dreis corporation, the Alliyah possess a quadruple linked LNK-49 Gatling Setup which though not necesarily strong is more than enough to damage a large number of small ships and fighter craft as well as ground targets such as people, moderately armoured vehicles, stray pets, sith poets, and Anti-gun advocates, trucks, speeders, light APC's, technicals. Vehicles with much heavier armour in mind such as battle tanks, mechs, and other gunships like the Alliyah itself are largely immune to such fire with the exception of evident weak points.

The frontal nose guns, which are quadruple linked, each share a single firing mechanism which actuates the four at once as well as a shared ammunition storage drum located behind the set further into the ship beneath the cockpit area. Each of the four gatling components is a simple electrically powered, hydraulically driven, tri barrel setup capable of at maximum speed outputting a total of 3,600 Rounds per minute per gun. That is a total of 14,400 Rounds per minute if fired with everything it has. The ammunition drum itself, carries a scant 4,500 Rounds of 20x160mm Ammunition and is capable of being emptied with 20 continual seconds of fire. And to further increase accuracy electronic firing data is fielded into the cockpit allowing for much more accurate shots.

To mitigate the evident issue of firing your entire magazine of ammunition in a short period of time, the LNK-49 Gatling Gun is installed with a digital limiter that can be set through the cockpit, allowing the pilot to directly set the ammount of ammunition they wish to expend, at whatever rate of fire they wish to, such as a single trigger pull giving off 20 rounds of ammunition or firing rate being limited to much lower values than it is capable of putting out. The effective range of this weapons system is in space only limited by the accuracy of the pilot and the time they wish to put into using the digital aiming assists made available to them. In an actual combat situation, effective accuracy against similarly sized targets levels off at around 2,500 Meters, much larger capital ships at nearly 15,000 Meters distance though most battles will be much closer quarters than that, leaving accuracy down to their ability to track targets. In theory, with use of available assists and a stationary target, one could hit something up to 100,000 Meters Distance though would be incredibly difficult and require a large amount of patience.

In Atmosphere the guns range is limited not solely by accuracy but also by atmospheric conditions. Under normal circumstances standard effective range is reduced to almost 1,200 Meters with bullets dropping out of the sky after nearly 3,500 meters or so.

- CIWS Turrets
On the Defense this ship possesses a custom built set of CIWS Turrets lacking a conventional manufacturer to their name. With one located on the bottom of the ship, and a second on the top, these twin linked laser batteries are designed with a much more defensive purpose in mind. Armed with an intense thin lasers these guns find their purpose in automatically tracking and taking out oncoming threats to the ship. Though ineffective against anything larger than a fighter, they make short work on oncoming missiles, small attack drones, and small vehicles such as swoop bikes that come for it.

Though the turrets are generally capable of fending off threats they are not without weakness. Though capable of taking on threats in almost all directions their tracking is not the fastest, and more than one or two missiles poses will pose increasing difficulty to the systems ability to take them down thus requiring further countermeasures to make up for the inherent weaknesses in the system.

- Main Guns
Mounted off on the Engine Nacelles are the Alliyah's Main guns. A triple barrel setup for the faster firing of extremely powerful weaponry. These guns in particular are heavily modified versions of an Albrecht Drais M1 Janseng cannon, a weapon which was originally fielded to serve as the main gun on a battle tank but was left rotting on Raxus Prime as the company who was to use the gun went bankrupt. Each of these six guns is an extremely powerful blaster based plasma cannon. Their effectiveness against targets is particularly high as it was designed with power as the utmost consideration. Unshielded Vehicles such as trucks, armoured peronnel carriers, and speeders can be reduced to flaming in so much as a single strike, battle tanks have found themselves severely damaged, and small buildings collapsed from sheer fire power. Even larger vehicles such as similarly sized gunships can be severely damaged in a few hits. Either good shields or extreme armour is an absolute must.

However, There is a weakness to these guns. Extreme fire power comes at a cost. And that cost is speed. With its liquid cooling rapid fire is simply not possible, this was partially mitigated by the number of guns. Each shares a power converter which as the guns are fired re-routes the power feed to the next gun so that each time the trigger is pulled a different gun fires. In total each barrel requires Six to seven seconds to cool itself down to a temperature the weapon can safely be fired again. This means the main guns as a whole have a maximum firing speed of Slightly less than 60 Rounds Per minute across all six of the weapons systems installed. Because of this, accuracy is an extreme must, as each miss costs time. Further more, because of the sheer distance of the guns apart while sharing a single targeting system, the point of convergence is approximately 2,000 meters out, making shots above or below that range a matter of guesswork and extremely difficult in exceedingly close range unless you intend to hit something larger than you yourself are.

As per the nature of Plasma, it's highly effective against shields and things electronic in nature.

- Missile Weaponry
Hidden out of sight below the ship itself is actually a fair number of hardpoints designed to carry various kinds of equipment, primarily missiles, while being ejectable. The most prominent example of this, and most often equipped on the ship, is a pair of high capacity missile racks mounted horizontally, carrying Two missiles wide by twelve long, the missiles being approximately 1.5 Meters in length and 15 Centimeters in diamater. With a rack on each side this accounts for 48 missiles in total. These missiles though are fairly small but quite destructive, capable of taking out small vehicles and severally damaging larger ones, with ships easily capable of taking multiple hits, even more if they possess proper particle shields. Maximum range in atmosphere is approximately Eight Kilometers when fired at full speed before plumetting to earth. In Space they can keep going indefinitely but only possess enough fuel to track a target for approximately twenty five seconds before fuel runs out. In terms of speed, In atmosphere top speed is 1,500 Km/h, And in space acceleration is approximately 450m/s per second.

Secondary it has a set of larger racks, designed for either large droppable equipment such as large 500 Kilogram bombs capable of demolishing entire skyscrapers or even taking out an entire platoon of inadequately armoured men over 150 Meters, and heavy vehicles at around 30. The other option presented are large Anti-Ship missiles, measuring approximately 3 Meters in length and weight 320 Kilograms. Designed with a powerful shaped warhead they are intended to focus as much force as possible into a small location, penetrate, and hopefully hit something important within such as engines or simply to vent the air. Usable in both space and atmosphere these powerful missiles are capable of travelling up to 150 Kilometers in air, or almost 160 Seconds of chase time in space. It can either carry Two 500KG bombs, or 4 Anti-ship missiles.

Speed: 165MGLT, 80MGLT (Ejected Cockpit), 1,000KM/h (SATP Airspeed), 120Km/h (Submerged) 40Km/h (Landing gear)

Hyperdrive Rating: Class 1.2 No Backup
