Hi all! I'm glad to be apart of this community and can't wait to start role playing here!
I do have one question though, does one need to make a character bio/go through an application process before they can start role playing a character? I read through the rules and what not but it didn't seem to clarify (it could just be me being blind though)

Hey!

You do need to toss up a character profile in the character profile section. If the character is a member of a faction (Jedi, Sith, Mando), then that character is subject to approval. If the character is an independent you can start RPing right away.

Sweet! I just have one more question. I was thinking of making a Hutt similar to Grakkus in the fact that he would be cybernetically enhanced. My question is, would I require approval for said cybernetic legs? As it would effectively allow my character to move faster than the average Hutt.

Hey! Welcome aboard!

Basically, we use a kind of peer review system here. If your character is a member of a faction, they need to be approved by a member of that faction's leadership. If not, you're free to begin role-playing, but its advised that you take members critique on your profile when given.

As for your cybernetic legs, it depends on their exact specifications. @Clayton @Elijah Brockway

Ah cool, thank you for the information! I think my character will start as independent, a young Hutt with objectionable views on the world around him (hence his willingness to cybernetically enhance himself)

I'm equal parts terrified and intrigued by a Hutt that has some get up and go. lololol

As I'm sure you're already aware, our current TL is set about 1000 years before the era, in which the Hutt's you referenced, are in. I'm not sure how advanced cybernetics and prognostics are currently. That question is best suited for the current Tech Mod (Elijah Brockway) or Tech Admin (Clayton) I won't tag them here since they've really been tagged. (Of course, @Outlander is a solid tech buff as well!) A post that might help put our currently level of tech into perspective is this post by @Prudence. If you have any other questions about getting started or any thing like that feel free to ask away! There are a couple writers on the site that also enjoy writing Hutt's most Notorious er... notable, off the top of my head would be @Nor'baal.

I always use a repulsor sled for my Hutt, makes him a tad more speedy :)

Thank you all for the kind words! Hopefully we can get a techie ruling on this!

EDIT: I assume that if I were to be cybernetically enhanced, that they wouldn't be exactly the same. Limitations would be aplenty I assume!

If the tech isn't overly complex it should be okay I think.
