Gadget looked at Titus. "You know best deals are here. You get weapons and object-things for good price. Weapons special-people can't match prices of true Squib merchantsellers."

He then turned back to Marcus. "Ah, a Squib can let go of his stuff when offers made that go beyond his expectiness. Take your stuff, and I'll take your credits, you bet. Thank you very much, sir."

He looked to Marcus, quickly coming up with an alias for the time being.

"Verinius Augustus" Titus replied smoothly with the name of his mother's father. "A simple public servant looking, to ensure my own protection, I'd personally prefer a bodyguard rather than doing it myself, but in loo of that I need something to keep safe, perhaps you could recommend a weapon, or even find it in yourself to part with one of yours?"

He looked at the squib, a quizzical look behind his hood, "How am I to know you have the best available equipment for the price, I've never been here before, and yours is only the second stall I've been to?"

He momentarily glanced between the two, perhaps Marcus could read the hint that he'd offered him a place as a bodyguard with some status in the Republic, of course that begged the question if the Republic was even where his loyalties lied in this war.

"Verinius Augustus"

"Can't believe this... you don't look like him.Your wether, a small descendant of his - or just a bad liar.I told you my true name, say yours... be so honest."
Marcus went back to the Squib as he looked at him, and took his weapons.
"These will do fine... anyway, I have nothing to do - if you really want a weapon follow me." As he said these words, many people looked at him... and provoked an angry response "Tend to your business..." his voice told them, while he resided in the shadows of the blackmarket.

Inara smiled at the small furry man and slipped her smiling mace from her hip. She would get the move on any of these people before they would noticed. She wouldn't go back on her deal with the Squib. She watched men and women walk by eying the merchandise, some a little more than others. Nothing would be stolen from Gadget again, at least not while she was around.

Gadget grinned as Marcus accepted his offer, but landed a look of annoyance at the other man. "So, what you say is that my stand is of not important status as compared to others? Doubt gets nowhere. I have stuff. Let's make a deal...?"

As Inara stepped into the general vicinity of the stand, Gadget let a slight high-pitched giggle slip out. He'd gotten a bodyguard, but more importantly, he may have made a friend.

The name, how did this man know he wasn't his grandfather, how could he. But it was no point he was being called out on it and he needed to reply somehow.

"If you must know, I will tell you at some point, but not here." He stated plainly. "Here is a place I truly shouldn't be."

He then looked to the squib. "You would have to provide me with some proof that the weapon offered was going to function, and at this point this man's" he said, gesturing to Marcus. "knowledge is the only proof you could give me, so if you can get him to say I should own the weapon you offer I'd purchase, but short of that I will be going to the shop he's suggested."

The statement was clear and concise, and a life of public service made him unable to be persuaded about much, the squib would do as asked or lose the business.

Gadget looked at Titus, and then back at Marcus. He then stomped his little feet. "Sir, do you believe my wares are fantstical beyond your mind can say?"

He then looked at Inara, hoping for some sort of early-job backup.

ooc:Sorry guys. Work has kept me busy.

Inara stepped up, her shoulders pushed out. She pulled the mace out and held it up. From Gadget's position he could tell the "sword" was actually a gun of some type.

"Do we have a problem here?" She said looking at the man in front of her. "As your probably aware I am in the employ of this man. If your gonna cause trouble, do your business or begone!"

Titus gestured to the man standing next to him, as he spoke to the woman who appeared completely ready for trouble. Thinking that this was exactly why he wanted a well equipped bodyguard, or at least a hold-out blaster of some sort.

"I simply ask that this gentleman be able to inspect any wares I may purchase,"
he explained, in a diplomatic tone. "I don't see how that is such an odd request, shouldn't one be allowed to ensure the quality of merchandise, before making a purchase?"

He huffed slightly, how anyone could expect that he was going to cause any trouble was beyond him, but then he was in the lower city, hiding his identity, and even without all of that he was a freshman senator, most wouldn't know of him until his second or third term anyway.

[OOC: Murder storm for DeInspiring me :CCry1:]

Marcus was surely... a little bit amused by the woman reaction, however - this man, from whom he had not received his true name yet, was under his protection... in a little way. When this man was who he thought he was... then he was the descendant of someone he trusted very much in the past (despite the fact that he once served the Alsakan Forces)... and so he had sworn solomly that he would watch over his kids, or nephews if he would ever watch them getting into trouble.
The strange looking gun he had placed in his holster again, was ripped apart from the leathery skin, as he held it with one hand, directly it pointed to his right, whilst his head was turned into the same direction.

A red light began to emerge from two little panels, linked into the gun... as they began to burn, a little click was to hear, warning that the weapon was trigged - and this light was truly an unique blaster-function, that bound itself to the magnetic bullet that would ... bury itself into the bones of his enemy and burn through their mortal shell.

"Blastoff... put your mace down, wretch." These words were spit quickly, indeed, as he threatened the woman and commanded her to put the mace down.
