Hello, everyone, and welcome to the April 2024 Newsletter for SWRP!
___No shenanigans this time, I promise.
___April was a busy month for the site! That's all well and good for me, since that gives me plenty to talk about. This might just be one of the more news-packed newsletters since the first one I wrote at the beginning of the year!

___There has been no advancement of time.
___The site currently remains in 162 ABY, or 127 years after the Battle of Exegol.

___The Wildcard and its crew have returned to the Galaxy with their story of daring adventure and unforgettable moments of discovery - of life and civilisation beyond the edge of the Galaxy!
___Through their travel through the eye of The Maw, the crew of the Wildcard were confronted with the need to make their own way back to our Galaxy, a feat that has been unheard of for millennia. Two teams braved the area at the edge of this unknown region of space, dealing with locals of both human and Sith Pureblood decent living within the ruins of a once-great space station!
___Working through language barriers, thieves and ancient traps, the teams lead by Professor Hanabi and Doctor Lile eventually reached the control room of the station. Within this control room a way to stabilise a connection between the Galaxy and this new land, The Stygian Reaches, was found - demanding that one of them sacrifice themselves to act as the gatekeeper to do so!
Professor Hanabi chose to stay behind, giving up his life as we know it to allow hyperspace travel through The Maw to be possible again for the first time in dozens of millennia!
___The doorway to the Stygian Reaches is wide open, inviting adventurers to seek out this new area for fame, fortune and more on this new frontier!

___Hutt Scion @Dar'baal, riding on high of an offer of a position on the Hutt Council following the announcement from @Nor'baal Desilijic, made a move to invade the Imperial capitol of Raxus Secundus. The Hutt forces successfully established a foothold with the aid of @Kyp and began moving inward to take the capital building itself, but the Empire would not let the building—much less the planet—go without a fight.
___Once the Hutt arrived at the capital building and attempted to gain entry, he was met with stiff opposition from Imperial forces. Lieutenant @Ina'al'ena, leading the starship Hyperion, bolted from hyperspace to begin waylaying the invading forces with a hail of turbolaser fire before taking a shuttle down to join the ground forces comprised of the Disparaged, led by @The Lieutenant, Imperial Security spearheaded by @Magnus Thel'riss, and Imperial Knights rallied to action by @Merian Sere.
___The conflict continues with both forces locked in a vicious struggle; one to protect their home, and the other to take it. How will it continue to unfold?

___Ships filled with battle droids and Sith soldiers led a strike against the Jedi-controlled world of Ansion. Spearheaded by Apex Contractor @Maan Vizsla, and further bolstered by Sith Acolyte @Arak Ragnos, the invasion force began their attack to acquire the planet's civilians and workers to serve the Sith Order.
___Jedi Master @Sevrin Valtiere, already on the planet after receiving word of an impending attack, contacted the Jedi Padawan @Kaedan—who was originally present for a separate goal—to aid in driving the force back and defending Ansion. It wasn't long before the two teams began clashing, with the Apex Contractor and Jedi Master locked in combat while the Acolyte and Padawan had their own engagement.
___What will the future hold for the fate of Ansion?

CHAOS UNLEAHSED: Sith Onslaught Strikes Peaceful Ansion The peaceful planet of Ansion has become the latest victim of Sith aggression. Falling under an attack focused on the usually secure settlement of Cuipernam, Sith infiltrators led by an Apex Mercenary Commander assaulted the Sorr-ul-Paan Plateau, home to the planet's only major spaceport.
Led by a member of the infamous murder-for-hire outfit Apex, the hired thug leading the attack is, based on early images released to this publication, a cybernetic warrior of unknown species... continue reading

Faction Happenings - Deep Strike
- Imperial Lieutenant @Rhonwen makes an effort to invade Kessel, only to find that Sith Master @Trael Osso is on-site and prepared to come to its defence in order to gain favour with the Hutts. Although reinforced by @Ina'al'ena, the Imperial forces found themselves routed. Despite their loss, @Trael Osso extended the tow officers an offer that was difficult to refuse: die, or live and assist the Sith in taking the seat of the Emperor.
