Affiliation:: The Order of Zenkai/ Independent

Ownership:: N/A

Intent:: To create a weapon capable of doing damage whether someone or something is equipped with a particle shield, or Radiation shield.

Model:: Arc-01, Arc-02

Type:: The design works for both pistols and rifles.

Size:: Heavy Blaster Pistol/ Heavy Rifle

Composition:: Carbon Titanium casing, electronic components, power cell

Range:: 50 meters for the pistol, 250 Meters for the rifle

Ammunition Capacity:: 25 Shots for the pistol, 50 rounds for the rifle

Description:: Something of a unique weapon, the arc shot model weapons fire not just energy, but slugs as well. Two barrels are crafted onto the weapon. Primarily a gauss weapons design, the arc shot fires off slugs from the bottom barrel to deal with radiation shielding. The top barrel discharges a bolt of pure electrical energy designed to deal with particle shielding. When the trigger is squeezed the power cell sends a charge to an internal capacitor that then gives off a high electrical pulse with the same yield as a heavy blaster bolt. When the electrical pulse is discharging, a portion of its energy is directed into the gauss components in the lower barrel. The pulse activates the magnets set up along the lower barrel that force the round to expel from the weapon at high speed. (Mach 1 for pistols, Mach 3 for rifles)

Features:: Standard rate of fire

Can attach a scope

Rifle version comes with spring loaded stock to suppress kickback.

Rifle version can have secondary attachment under barrel.

Both models discharge electrical energy with the same power as a heavy blaster of their respective models.

I know you're fairly new member, so I'll try to explain something about the shield restriction you might not be aware of.

We introduced the 'one shield type for personal usage' rule as a gameplay element to prevent people from lolnoing attacks of all natures. In the spirit of that rule, creating a gun that can do both appears to take advantage of this, giving the wielder the ability to bypass any personal shielding without any real forethought or preparation beyond owning this firearm.

Generally in the past, we've said no to this type of thing, since it overrides any strengths or weaknesses the other party has, and generally has a whiff of powerbuilding to it, which we're pretty strongly opposed to.

For those reasons, this won't be an exception to this rule. Archived.
