lol you're funny if you think there'll be an actual maintained cafeteria or cooks, or security, combat crews are already there with the people. Research is voluntary, there would be no medical staff, you'd fix it yourself. You're being way to logical about a group of people that are completely insane.

I would say, probably originally they started out with maybe 600 patients, and some of those were killed off so lets round that down to 500. Now, not all the staff and sane folk aboard were killed, if they surrendered Atrox would try and turn them crazy, that obviously wouldn't work on all of them.

So if it takes 1000 to man a capital ship comfortably, let's say that of those 1000 people 284 survived and were functional, but bat shit crazy, giving us 884 people total.

There you go, there's the number of people in the faction.
