Any publicity is good publicity. Usually am more ingrained digitally with 3D modeling/printing or sculpting, but have been getting more out of that to be well-rounded

My main website (and mostly good-ish digital work) is here: http://tylerbolster.portfoliobox.me/

But, to improve handsy-skills, I've been doing a lot of digital painting/speedpaints. I work too high res for the embedded stuff, so check em out here. 30 minute speedpaints were usually a product of being given a prompt or random phrase and then just going for it. Critiques, admiration, commissions (feed me pls), comment them below.

Dayum, your 3D renders on that link are stunning! And so are the backgrounds on the speedpaint. How did you do that all?!

The 3D renders were done on Blender with most of the nice-looking stuff coming from physical based rendering shaders/nodes. Currently working on stuff that's less flat-image render and more game-asset usable, so the modeling process is a lot more refined now.

The speedpaints are usually zero linework, throwing vaguely-shaped masses of color everywhere with interesting brushes, then usually cutting away with an eraser or changing colors, decreasing flow, and painting over top as needed. I've noticed your stuff and seen that your linework is always pretty solid, it's something I need to work on. I'll be drawing from you for inspiration :P

Working on some more Maya stuff and learning normal map transferring. Check out the first iteration. Needs more work.

I thought I had shoved it down everybody's throat in the Retreat chat that it was just sorta something y'all knew :P

But also, have another project. This is the less digital stuff I do at work at a museum's makerspace. 3D printed objects, and possibly an microcontrolled temperature-sensing heated scarf (that lights up) to come. This one's a potion bottle that was donated to my workplace, wired up to a bit of wood and UV LEDs, then filled with some tonic water.

The bottle is filled with tonic water, just tonic water. The quinine in tonic water glows blue when exposed to a black light. The LEDs are powered by two removable AA batteries in a pack that's wood glued into a drilled out section in the bottom of the wood.
