ATTN: All Beings of the Hutt Empire

Citizens, allies, friends - for the second time in less than a decade, we have been betrayed by the Galactic Republic. For the second time, the Galactic Senate, the Chancellor, and the Republic commanders have violated our trust in a cowardly attempt to undermine us, to destroy our way of life, to eradicate our very beings.

It began just over six years ago, with what the Republic is calling the “Hutt War”- not so slyly placing the blame on our own legitimate government. Despite our repeated attempts at peaceful coexistence with the Republic, their forces continued to push into our settled territories, uprooting native cultures and putting those poor souls in the crushing system that they refer to as a ‘democracy’- truly a front for their tyranny. While we tolerated such atrocities for as long as we could, the then Council could not bear to witness such injustice, a cause that I wholeheartedly support. Grudgingly, we faced the Republic’s terrible threat of war.

For two years the biggest battles that the galaxy has ever seen raged, pushing the boundaries of society, bringing the Republic and the Empire to the brink of their tolerance… And still, we overcame. We fought at Bothawui, at Rhommamool. We fought at Yag’Dhul, at Balmorra. We fought, and we were victorious, time after time, driving back the beasts that dared to threaten our peace. We liberated dozens of planets from the evil known as the Republic, and soon we had also beaten their will to fight- the Treaty of Ithor sealed a four-year peace between the Republic and the Empire. I was hopeful, naive even in my belief that such a peace could last, that the Republic would not just use this time to regroup. I was mistaken.

For the past few years, the Empire has engaged the Republic in a battle of wits and maneuvering, one that has never been spoken of in HoloNets or documentaries. The Republic has lied to us, and in the peace have done their best to take the territories they lost- in the recent few months we have lost trade routes between Hutt Space and our more forward-resting member territories. Reports have shown an extremely xenophobic attitude to these lost planets- Yag’Dhul and Iktotch have been treated in a disgusting manner.

With a heavy heart, we will respond to the Republic’s growing threat once more and engage Republic military forces in the skies of Yag’Dhul, in the orbit of Iktotch, on the Hydian Way. We will fight hard, harder than we ever have before- this time, I cannot falter as I did before. I realize now that the Republic will not rest until the Empire is but a memory in Galactic memory, a fate I cannot allow for you.

So join me, brothers, sisters, daughters and sons. Join me, fathers, mothers, friends and allies. Join me, all peoples of the great Hutt Empire. Only through our unity can we overcome the Republic yet again, driving these murders from our lands and liberating the Inner Rim, Colonies, and Core World from their evil. Together we can leave a legacy of justice and equality. Together, we can bring upon the galaxy an era of peace and stability, security and prosperity. Together we can write a future we desire for our own sons and daughters. Together we can do anything.
