After a review of the level of activity in the Imperial Knights as well as the very small amount of applicants for the position of Imperial Knights faction leader, the staff has opted to make the Imperial Knights a main faction for the Star Wars Legacies role-play. It had been an official independent faction, but we felt that because it was in the independent factions board and didn’t have the “main” label attached to it, people weren’t that interested in it. We hope that making it a main faction will spur renewed activity within the faction, as it has a lot of potential.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a judgment upon the current applicants, only the number of them. This is the smallest number of faction leader applications we have ever received, which told us that something needed to change with the faction beyond a new faction leader.
The Imperial Knights are now clearly the smallest of the main factions, but that’s fine. It shouldn’t present itself with ideas of grandeur, but rather recognize itself for the guerrilla warfare-based force it can be. It can’t take on the full force of the Empire by any means, but it can certainly be a major influence on the timeline.
Because this is now a main faction, the individual we select as its faction leader WILL be a main faction leader—complete with an orange name—just like the leaders of the Jedi, the Chiss, and the other main factions. This could obviously change people’s interest in the position, i.e. it can cause people who weren’t interested before to now be interested, as well as cause people who were interested to no longer be. If you have already applied, you will still be considered an applicant unless you tell us otherwise.

- Preference will be given to people who are not in the top 3 leadership positions of another faction. If you apply for Imperial Knights faction leader and you are in one of the top 3 positions of another faction’s leadership, you will have to resign from your current position to become Imperial Knights faction leader. We do not allow anyone to hold multiple top 3 leadership positions.
- We did choose a staff member as the first Imperial Knights faction leader, but strong preference will be given to non-admins. We really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really don’t want to choose ourselves unless it’s impossibly imperative.
The deadline for applications is being extended until 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time on Saturday, September 10th. The applicant who is chosen will be notified no later than the end of Sunday, September 11th, and once they officially accept the position an announcement will be made. All applications must be sent to me via Private Message.

In the fourth timeline, the following individuals were main faction leaders: Kupo/Kit (Republic), Mulluns/Phil (Hutts), Sheogorath (Bogan), Ruukil (Jedi), Jiang (Republic), Constantine/Kaeb (Hutts), Rev (Jedi), Adena (Republic), Santoro (Hutts), Brandon Rhea/Bac (Bogan), Sreeya (Jedi), and Ols (Bogan). Of these individuals, who do you feel did the best job and why?
