Description
B9-33 was a BG-series Astromech Droid with feminine programming who was a member of the Byblos Defense Fleet and was assigned to fly with Jace Darklighter when he joined the fleet. The human pilot started calling her Beanie as her red and blue paintjob reminded him of a beanie his mother had knitted for him as a child. Though protocols demanded that he give her regular memory wipes to ensure she operated at optimal efficiency, he never did, believing that they would work better as a team if they got familiar with each other. The result was Beanie developing a personality of her own. She treats Jace almost like an irresponsible younger brother, almost always questioning his choices and never missing an opportunity to berate him. The two are almost always bickering, only to work like a well oiled machine when in combat, their teamwork and understanding built over years of flying together.
When Jace left the Byblos Defense Fleet to join the Jedi Order he took Beanie with her, the Jedi helping to smooth things over with the Byblos authorities.
