Tatooine, a pickpocket's haven, a fugitive's place to stay low, and this day a meeting place between two partners involved in the shady business of sending men to their graves.

"I've always been under the impression that the Jedi were among the most annoying people in the galaxy..."

A crowd shuffled along the streets, some businessmen, some locals on an errand, all giving extra berth around the two men who sent off a swell of anger in the force. Some of the people in the crowd gave a second glance as they passed Balor, something about him made their skin crawl.

"...at least, until I met you," Faren muttered under his breath. He kept his tone at a bare whisper, masking the disgust he felt with a fake smile.

Balor was on the job, black suit accentuating his pale skin, the white shirt dark beside his platinum blonde hair. The tips of his elongated ears peaked out from his hairline, a broken crown of thorns in the wind. His expression was a blank canvas that refused to take to any measure of paint, wiped clean of emotion.

"A deal's a deal," he said, his voice a curt monotone.

Balor lifted a hand, bony fingers tapping delicately against Faren's cheekbones. Dark energy cackled beneath his palms, unbeknownst to Faren, who proceeded to slap away the hand.

"You can't expect me to waste that many men. That wasn't part of the deal, you hear? We're done," Faren spat. Little bits of saliva dotted Balor's face with the words.

In two smooth movements Balor's fingers returned to Faren's cheek, his other hand gripping Faren's forearm. Faren's neck snapped a split second later, under the pressure of the Dark energy that suddenly filled the area around it. Balor chuckled after hearing the all-too familiar sound of cracking flesh and bone, allowing his grip to loosen so Faren's body could fall to it's dusty resting place.

"As you wish." A maliced smile cracked upon Balor's lips.

Many Years Prior

After a few drinks all he could see was hazy clouds of silhouettes methodically herding throughout the room. Ripples of emotions in the force filled the bar from one side to the other. Balor wondered if it was possible to silence them all in one rampage. He shook his head, his focus falling back onto his cup of Jawa Juice after a brief moment lost in the thought.

A clicking of heels sounded behind him, shortening each step before the owner of them took a seat across the table from him. Balor nodded at the women, half using the nod to check out her body. The two of them shared a few similar traits; their pale skin, emerald eyes and length of hair. However, she was a red head and the glisten in her eyes was just as fiery.

"So, ehm...Mr.Maksym," She looked at the drink wrapped in Balor's hand, giving off a noticeable sigh before continuing.

"I assume you've been waiting for me for some time, so let's get straight to business... tell me about yourself."

"Ah, well aren't you warm and fuzzy?" Balor chuckled. "Certainly. So, let's see... I specialize in the various fields of information extraction. If I can't get them to crack, then surely I can get them to die, which, as it so happens, turns out to be my second most valued skill." He tilted his head, a crooked smile upon lifeless lips.

It was easy to see his interviewer was already unnerved, Balor's smile had chilled her to her bone. She cleared her throat and gave a breathy laugh. "My, is it cold in here?" She asked.

A blankness fell over his eyes, waiting for her to continue.

"So... um, you work well with other employees?"

He licked his lips before answering. "Quite well, depending on exactly what you want me to do with them. My personal favorite is employee a la de'tat, without the kidney, of course."

"Um, I think you misunderstood what I meant..."

One of his eyebrows raised, "Did I?"

The women shifted in her chair uncomfortably, attempting to keep her eyes off Balor's face. "How much experience do you have?"

"I've killed children and ripped heads off pets since I was young, things just escalated since then in one unstoppable force."

"Pppfftt!" A long snort made it's way out of her nose before turning into a few short laughs. Her eyes returned to Balor's, expecting him to laugh as well. Instead, she was met with more awkward staring.

"My jobs have been here and there, hired by pioneers looking to make a few uppity men dead, but that's about it. If you need proof of my skills I'll do a job for free."

His interviewer nodded, grinding her teeth together in a nervous reaction. "Is there anything else I should know before I...?" She pushed away the table as she made herself ready to stand, eager to finish their meeting, but found herself cut off before she could finish her sentence.

"I look forward to working with you." He brought his drink to the air, giving her a toast and a chuckle.

Great job. You breathed life into the concept, and while there are a few shaky lines here and there, the overall product is outstanding.

I look forward to where Balor goes, most likely someone in the path of the dark side.

Thank you so much! I'll try to fix it up more.

Let's say, I don't think the Jedi would accept him.
