I haven't had time to catch one.

Is it cannon material that they've rebelled against the Republic several times in the past? I would think that they'd be open to rebelling again if the Hutts came along. If there's no such documentation, might want to ask Jiang, since he's in charge of the Republic and the worlds that aren't represented by players in the Senate.

Before this there's not much canon source material. However, in the Clone Wars and the Rebellion they fought 'the man', so I'd imagine they're a rebellious group.

That also is 12,978 years later. Considering the change of mood of a people within a mere century in modern times, the mood of a people over millennia seems like it would change to all sorts of things.

Maybe so. However, since this is such an unknown, I figure we can make it up as we go. AFAIK nobody has talked about YD this timeline.

I would recommend an admin ruling from Jiang along with a second staff member, just to cover all the bases. Jiang, because he's in charge of the Republic, and another staff member to just to double clear it. Couldn't hurt. The attack sounds reasonable to me, but best to get clearance to avoid ooc debates.

What Santoro is doing by looking at the planet in its only known eras, i.e. the Clone Wars and the Imperial era, is what we always do with planetary stuff when there's no information about it for our era (and we don't want to make something up). We look at what the society and culture of the people are like as well as the industry, terrain, etc. of the planet and just assume it's the same.

They'll pull back and reinforce more loyal planets. Besides, It's a Republic. We don't force people to stay.

They will shoot up the defenses on the way out though. You can RP that if you want, the damage would be minor, since they're heading for the hills so they don't get pounded.
