You are a giant pile of inconvenience. Let it go.

Because I'm trying to fight back? The concept of a gravity well has been around on the site for a while and is part of the reason that we don't just attack each other at random as it may be hard to escape if you get close.

I'm not saying you are wrong about it, I'm saying this thread turned into something apart from its original purpose. I get you wanna defend it to the best of your ability, but is that necessary at this point? We just want it to be over already.

I'd like it to be wrapped up and I'm sure if we post fairly fast, we could get done with it within the week.

TBH I don't have the time to post all week with finals. I'll do a 'moving away' post which you can respond to and then an escape one, but eighteen 'getting closer' posts isn't going to happen.

The post will be up tonight.

The suburb that was city sized ((we're still allowed to bombard the city, just no nukes- enough missiles can devastate a city) burning in the Hutt fleet's wake, the vessels continued their violent missile barrage through the minefields, cutting their own swath further away from the clustered Republic fleet. With virtually limitless escape vectors, the Hutts splintered through the mines, blasting their way through and opening paths to hyperspace.

"Ships, jump when ready."

One by one, the fleet leapt to their preset coordinates, to jump again, and again, finally rallying at the mysterious Rendezvous Beta.

If you're cutting several independent paths through the minefield, that should slow you considerably. Otherwise, there's no point in building a minefield if you can cut through it like a hot knife through butter. Especially if they're all splitting up and not concentrating their fire on any one part of the mine field.

And why must the suburb be city sized? You may be allowed to bombard a city but that doesn't mean the settlement you did bombard was city sized(if that even means anything considering the wide variety in the size of cities)

The point of the attack was to shoot the capital, I'm sure Rameth posted that somewhere. They dont jump to shoot

Either way, I exited in the two posts I said I would. Eventually I'd have shot through the minefield and gotten the same results, since they wouldn't go head to head with the Republic.

Rameth never stated in any of his posts that he was moving through the minefield, so ya. Santoro doesn't have to go through it.

If he wasn't moving through the minefield, then how did he get close enough to fire off a ton of missiles at the suburb. And why was he shooting at the minefield? And why were there lots of fighters penetrating into the minefield?

Yes, they were going after the capital. I'm just saying that they were hitting an isolated suburb within the capital.

Eventually, you would have pushed through the minefield. However, that would have slowed them to the point that they could be shot at easily. With them spread out, it possibly would have been harder to hit all of them. However, they would also take a while so there would be more time to individually crush each retreating gunships
