After being chased by droid hunters on Geonosis, BD-9 was rescued by the Jedi padawan Riz'kacha within the planet's ruins. The two discovered remnants of the Sterilization of Geonosis in the form of poison gas containers used to commit the genocide. The two explored the ruins further, where BD-9 discovered and downloaded surviving Geonosian weapons data.
Riz'kacha takes BD-9 to Corellia in hopes of gathering more information about BD units in order to take better care of the little droid. Meanwhile, droid hunters continue to pursue them, with greater plans in mind for BD-9.
In the aftermath of the graphic holo-broadcast, BD-9 accompanied Riz'kacha to a Jedi meeting to discuss the ramifications of the Sith Eternal's declaration of war.
The Sector Rangers enlisted the help of Riz'kacha to help investigate the footage used in the Sith Eternal's broadcast; in particular, to interrogate the Jedi Knight Saul Devan and follow-up on any leads provided by the knight. BD-9 follows along as Riz'kacha's dutiful companion and provides valuable information to jump-start the investigations.
Riz'kacha, BD-9, and fellow Jedi Maxims Tionson investigate reports of a viral outbreak on Nar Shaddaa. The three find themselves protecting the denizens of a mall from the undead.
BD-9 accompanies Jedi Knights Nykoria Tallis and Nara Allam to Ontotho in order to investigate a report of dangerous machinations within the ruins of the newly discovered Ontotho Temple. There, they meet a mysterious figure who called himself Beldan. Together, they discovered and fended off temple guardians, with the Jedi being forced to withdraw from injuries sustained in the fight.
After a few days' recuperation, BD-9 and the team returned to the Zeffo temple with reinforcements from the Jedi Order. However, it seemed that other forces had taken an interest in the temple as well.
