Hi internet people.

I'm sure most of you don't remember me considering it's been over a year since I last visited. Things sure have changed in that year though. This place looks way different from what I remember (almost seems too daunting to jump back in <.<). But I'd like to try anyway!

With that in mind, can anyone give a quick synopsis of what's going on story wise? And if anyone can elaborate on the Sith, that would be extremely helpful. I'm meandering my way through the boards trying to get an idea of what's new (other than everything! :P), but any help would be most appreciated.

Welcome Kat! As Sith AFL, and New Members mod I feel like I can help you a bit.

The story is set so that we are currently 1,000 years before TPM.

Roughly 100 years before the start of the timeline (which was roughly 3 IC years ago now), was the end of the last great Sith War. In that war the Sith had conquered the core, and done significant damage to the Republic. They ultimately lost, and now the Republic have regained control of the galaxy - though this Republic is not the one we meet in the prequels. This Republic is more a trade alliance than anything, with it only recently adopting a Grand Army (about 1 IC year ago).

The Sith were dormant for 100 years, rebuilding their strength in the galactic North. The initial response by the Republic was for the Northern border worlds to unofficially form a "Border Alliance" to combat the sith, though that was done away with for the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR). The Sith Temple on Korriban was bombed by Jedi about 1 IC year ago, and then in response a group of traitorous Jedi bombed the Jedi Temple on Tython. The Sith then responded by leading a crusade against the Republic, annexing and burning Saleucami, and then attacking Zeltros & Onderon. We won Zeltros, though in the ensuring battle we were unable to hold the planet. The Republic then fought us on Serenno, and won, costing us that square. These were the first battles of the War.

The Sith recently attempted to attack the Jedi Temple at Lothal, and were unsuccessful. If you wish to participate with the Sith you can make a Sith PC, or for a non Force Sensitive PC you can go with a Brother or Sister in the Sacred Band of Ziost (SBZ) a coalition of Mercenaries, pirates, and other fighters that make up a military branch for the Sith.

I do have another question though, if you don't mind.

If you wish to participate with the Sith you can make a Sith PC, or for a non Force Sensitive PC you can go with a Brother or Sister in the Sacred Band of Ziost (SBZ) a coalition of Mercenaries, pirates, and other fighters that make up a military branch for the Sith.

Would it be possible to make a Sacred Band character who is Force sensitive, but just doesn't know it? Or would the Sith weed them out pretty quick for training?
