  • Name: Bellum, closest Basic translation from Nar'vo is Bloodstart
  • Coordinates: R3
  • Hyperlane: Hydian Way
  • Climate: The climate of Bellum varies, through the world is mostly temperate and arid. Besides for a few islands and landmasses, you will struggle to find any grass or trees on Bellum, especially while going inland. These regions, named Ros'va, Ka'va and Lar'va are mostly unpopulated the population centers massing around Ga'vas and Star'Vas. Ga'vas is located on the northern part of southern continent,Ma'var,of the planet, while Star'vas is located on the southern part of the northern continent, Ca'var. These continents are the two sole continents of the Bellum, with Ros'va being located on Ma'var and Ka'va located on Star'vas. Lar'va is situated on the island of Mok'vok. It is rumored to be home of the (in)famous Housecarls, brutal warriors that fought for those with enough coin throughout Ragonian history, until disappearing around 12'250 BBY.
  • Terrain: Arid and mountainous. Bellum is a hard place to travel in, expect for Ga'vas and Star'vas, which are more European like in terrain.
  • Rotation: A standard day and night cycle, being located in the same spot as Earth.
  • Inhabitants: Besides for the Nexu, Gundarks and other creatures brought on the Tyrant, the wildlife of Bellum is unique and often sought out by the likes of Hutts and crime lords. One of the most famous creatures is the Vaarl, the apex predator of Bellum, primarily located on Star'vas. With a hide as strong as stone, teeth powerful enough to bite through beskar, those brave enough to domesticate a Vaarl are seen as brave and strong warriors worthy of their position and power. The Vaarl primarily hunts in packs, with the oldest of the pack tasked with tracking prey, before the young Vaarl prove their worthy by taking it down. The Vaarl mostly hunt Uxibeast and Bantha, through desperate packs have been known to travel to settlements and hunt sentient. Another creature is the Baarvesk, a creature similar to the uxibeast, but larger and with a more sour desperation. Through they are vegetarians, they have been known to charge foolish hunters and gouge them with their horns. It takes several Vaarl to take down one Baarvesk, but it can feed a pack for months.
  • Resources: The mines on Bellum extract Bronzium, Cortosis, Desh and Tyrdirium. The primary export of Bellum is weaponry, foodstuff and mercenaries.
  • Government: Historically, the Goth Dynasty has ruled the Ragonian government. Do to descending from Illgoth, the Goths are seen as demi-gods and are above question. Through this belief is only held among the lower caste and Cult of Goth. The House Goth estate is located in Vardook, the capital of Bellum. Vardook is located on a small island south of the mainland of Ga'vas Besides House Goth, there is House Set, the 'warriors' of the Ragon. The Sets are famed generals and fighters, and most of the Imperators (leaders of the Ragonian military) were Sets. The Set estate is located in Dadook, Vardook's 'sister' city on Star'Vas. The second house is House Ru, the scientists. Most of the Lord-Researchers have been members of House Ru. Their estate is located in Vardook. The third house is House Run, the builders. Their estate is located in the coastal city of Madook, located on Ga'vas. The fourth and final house is House Us, who have help built the Ragonian fleet.
  • Culture: To an outsider, the society of the Ragon is strange. Based off honor, yet also pragmatism, 'honor' in Ragon culture is less about rushing into battle, killing many foes, but more about giving them a chance to fight back, through not exactly a good chance. For example, if a Ragonian Sith comes upon a disarmed opponent still capable of fighting, the honorable option is to give the opponent a weapon to fight with. Be it a broken vibroblade or rebar. While the opponent will probably not defeat the Ragon, they still have a chance of winning, hence 'giving them a fair shot'. Another thing to note is that through the Ragon are a 'honorable warrior culture', they see winning as a better outcome than killing hundreds of foes, yet losing. Generals that have conquered distant's lands without even slaying a single foe are admired more than brash conquerors that personally slew thousands of opponents, yet lost. Another thing to note is that the Ragon are trained an early age by their parents to be stoic at all time, as uncontrolled emotions lead to bad decisions, and bad decisions lead to the end of the Ragon. There are only two times that a Ragon shows uncontrolled emotion-In battle and when faced with the death of a child. Childbirth, and marriage, is the single most important part a Ragon's life. A true Ragon sets aside personal glory to raise a child to 'extend the lifeline of the Ragon'. Only when they become married and have children, is a Ragon truly an adult. Most Ragon marry in their 20's, and children are often sired only a few weeks after marriage. Finally, there is the subject of Illgoth. Do to Illgoth being the 'savior' of the Ragon people, he is viewed as a god by the Ragon. His descendants, the Goths, are viewed as demi-gods.
  • Technology: Galactic standard.
  • Satellites: The moon of Bellum is Barlum, or Bloodbrother n Nar'Vo. It is colonized by the Ragonian government, used as a sort of industrial sector.
  • History: Centuries ago, a Sith Dreadnought, kilometers long and filled to the brim with advanced weaponry, crash landed on Bellum. The survivors of the crash, Sith, Imperial soldiers and slaves, Working together, these ancestors to the Ragon built cities and a society that would soon become the modern Ragon. The society would become one of constant war, fighting over land in Gar'Vas and Star'Vas, power and for the right to breed. Soon tyrannical governments began to form, keeping a state of constant warfare. At the rate they were going, the Ragon would soon become extinct. That is, until a young man named Illgoth, a member of the Goths, who had risen and fallen from power several times until become a almost non-existent house. With great charisma and intelligence, Goth formed a loyal army of disfranchised warriors. ambitious nobleman and members of the lower caste. They became The Red Guard, an elite army that soon defeated all that dared to oppose it as Illgoth united the Ragon under one banner-the banner of House Goth. It is rumored that the Ragon exterminated another native race of Bellum-The Murdug, but all records have either been destroyed or locked away.
  • Intent: I thought this world would be an interesting place for RPers, be they Sith, Smugglers or mercenaries, to earn their keep. Either by trying to legally or illegally gather Sith Empire era artifacts from the Tyrant crash site, take part in the various conflicts between the noble houses, through the Five Houses rarely fight eachother, so it would be minor house, or try and convince the Ragon to join the persons faction. The Goths currently have an 'alliance' with the Sith, through it's mostly do to location and the fact that the Ragon nobles often send their force sensitive offspring to become Sith.
