Zan's hearing still being bad said,"SORRY WHAT?"

"DO YOU YEILD!?" Shawn said again as his hearring started to slowly come back.

Zan heard that and answered,"I suppose, if it means I can stop wasting my stun grenades....."

 

[Arm514ve]

"Good I would have hatted to put a few more holes in you, now patch yourself up." Shawn said as he tossed a first aid kit at zans feet, "and follow me when your ready."

Zan grabbed the first aid kit, figuring he'd save his stuff for later. So he patched himself up and went to Mac'Neal

"Alright looks like you’re patched up next up is a maze. If it were up to me I would have gave you a pass for a brilliant use of stun grenades, but I still need to test you on situational thinking. Beyond this door is a maze well an open room as you can see through this window, and as you can see there’s that nice little red thing in the middle of the room that’s your target. You have an again a choice of weapons in these racks. Take your pick and when you’re ready enter the room. The walls of the maze will rise from the floor making a random maze for you to navigate. oh and take this comm. unit I will give you new instructions if I deem it is needed over the unit and allow me to know if you decide to give up if you’re in danger." Shawn kept some of the more annoying incidents that popped up for trainees from Zan so he can see how he reacts. Like the fact one of the other hunters may jump in and give him a run for the money, change the flag, or the guild favorite taking pot shots at the trainees.

Zan wasn't expecting a maze of all things in training, but he'd be happy to take a crack at whatever the guild had planned next.So he took the comm unit from Mac'Neal and then he walked over to the rack,to look over the weapons. He saw something that caught his eye, a shotgun type blaster.Zan knew in close quarter combat it'd be the perfect weapon. Zan grabbed the weapon, looked it over and decided he'd go with that.Zan then said to Mac'Neal"Ok Mac'Neal I believe I got what I need, I'll be seeing you on the other side."
Zan then walked into the room and waited for the walls to rise so he could start this.

as Zan entered the room walls shot up forming a maze zan had to go through, to get the flag.

Shawn then whent to an observation area above the entier room that also gave him full view of the room. he pressed a button releaseing several different packs of animals and activateing a few squads of droids. it also put a special cage on stand by.

Shawn then lifted a sniper rifle and readied it makeing sure the rounds inside were non-leathal rounds. "let the games begin." Shawn said with a playful smile.

Zan jumped a bit. He wasn't expecting the walls to shoot up so quick. Zan decided he was gonna have to formulate a small plan in order to get that flag quick and safely as possible.Zan first plan was to use his small scanner droid to see if there was anything living in his way, so he sent that up above the maze.After that he started his way into the maze, carefully peeking around corners to see if any danger was around. Zan then thought to himself,"hmm I wonder was surprises are in store for me? Well given that I was supplied a gun there's got to be something here, but where? Also thanks to these tall walls I can't get a beat on where the flag is....only where it was."

"Cleaver useing a probe bot, but you need to learn to rely on your sences also not just technology." Shawn said to himself as he scoped in on the drone above the mave. Shawn had already changed the clip to AP rounds, when he saw it go up. he sentered the target and pulled the trigger. the gun fired at the drone.

A squad of combat trainning droids picked up Zan's trail and with there cathhound support were moveing to catch up to Zan from behind, ever quiet and vigilant as was programed into them. these droid were also not your tipical training droids since they moved and acted like a trainned millitary squad.

Zan's mindless little drone exploded all the sudden. Zan looked up and thought,"Great....that was a waste of a jetpack thruster and a scanner.....oh well."Zan decided it'd be best to continue forward, but something was bugging him. He still hadn't seen any signs of an enemy yet and the scan was pretty much useless for the second it was up.

The droids detected Zan and released the hounds after Zan they ran as a pack, atacking Zan from several sides. as the droids started to move into different positions as they brought up cover walls and began to fire at Zan as soon as he showed sighns of being destracted by the hounds.

Ares Varga, second in command of the BHG and substitute leader in Kal's absence, walked along one of the many cat walks that wer suspended above the new guild maze. The mazes design was born from his own mind, and so he liked to see how it put new recruits through their paces from time to time.

His agenda had been slightly altered on that particular day when he found out who was doing the training. A man Ares had actually trained himself many years back and a good friend, Shawn Mac'neal, was on the job for that day in the recruit department. Ares planned on roughing up Shawn's trainee a little as a special form of hazing he liked to do to new members.


The bounty hunter was slightly suprised to see a male duros running around in the maze, considering that they didnt have many of that particular species of their roster. With a grunt Ares hopped over the cat-walks guard rail and decended into the maze below, landing a good distance away from the recruit to keep his whereabouts unknown.

As he started off towards the recruits location, Ares pulled a datapad from one of his belts pouches, it had a wifi link to the controls of the maze walls, and it enabled him to raise and lower them as he saw fit. Tampering with his connection would be impossible, it was of his own design after all, and Ares had made sure that no one would be able to spoil his fun.

Zan had to react fast to the attacking hounds, so he quickly pulled out three HE grenades and threw them behind him and shot at the ones in front of him in hopes that the shotgun blaster would at least kill if not slow down the hounds. Then to top it off he's being shot at by flippin droids. So he had to grab a emp grenade and throw it in front in hopes that the blaster shots from the droids would cease.

The hounds running at Zan from behind were vaperized by the grenades, the lead hound chargeing Zan was turned into mincemeat from the blasts, and the others zig zaged as they approched avoiding there fallen pack mate. The EMP grenade that was tossed dtonated disableing only three in the group that were older models and didn't have protection from the blast. the others moved to use the fallen droids as cover as well and increased fire on Zan.

Shawn centered his sites on Zan, about to squeze the trigger. "on secound thought I should wait." as Shawn noticed Ares running to the location of Zan.

Zan saw a few of the hounds wern't done in by the grenades and noticed only a few droids were destroyed. He knew this was gonna be a problem so he dropped another HE grenade and went around the nearest corner to evade the blaster shots.Zan didn't have much time to think about his next plan.

"What am I gonna do about those remaining hounds? Hmm I know!"

Quickly he grabbed a stun grenade and threw it around the corner and grabbed out his cutting blade. He was prepared for the remaining and hopefully dazed hounds to come around the corner and meet their ulitmate demise.

Fortunately for Zan he wouldnt have to worry about the hounds or the droids for a time, with a press of a button on his datapad Ares closed of the hallway the recruit was in at the corner so it became a dead end. With another press of a button the other end of the hallway closed off, effectively boxing the trainee in. At least for the time being.

Being that Ares was always one for somewhat dramatic enterances, he would use his ability to alter the maze to his advantage. Ares would let the recruit stew for a while, resting in the fact that the duros didnt have anything in his arsenal that could destroy the walls.

Zan was surprised that the wall suddenly rose. He walked down the hall a little just to find that the other wall had risen as well. Zan then realized that he was trapped, but then he thought of it as a good thing.It gave him some time to check over his gear.

Ares walked down a hallway adjacent to the the one Zan had been trapped in, being sure to be absolutly silent. With the tap of his finger the wall infront of his retreated into the ground, creating an opeing right next to the occupied Duros, who appeared to be checking his gear.

In a blur Ares attacked, using his body as a weapon since he didnt have any of his ranged weapons or most of his melee weapons equipped at the time. He wanted a good old fashioned brawl and he was going to get one. The armored hunter sent a vicious left hook towards the probably startled recruit.

As Zan was checking his shotgun, a wall dropped and a blur of blue came upon him.Startled by this he mistakenly dropped the blaster and barely had time to stop his attacker from hitting him.Zan's mind was racing with questions.

"Who is this? Where did he just come from? Mac'Neal never mentioned anything about anyone else being here."
