Heavy_Repeating_Blaster.jpg

Manufacturer: MandalHypernautics, Small Arms Division.
Production Line: Ripper Line.
Model: Energy-propelled slugthrower heavy repeater.
Technical Weapon Designation: MandalHypernautics OSR-01.
Affiliation: Mandalorians.
Availability: Mass Produced - Stock
Modularity: High: Forward hand grip area, pistol grip, buttstock, rear optical sight, longer barrel, bipod, tripod, vehicle mount, fire selector, etc.
Composition: Variable. Most will be made from simpler materials such as durasteel, but some can obviously be made from more expensive materials, such as beskar, or be given dallorian alloys.
Ownership: Mandalorian warriors.
Description: This weapon is heavily based on the smaller Mandalorian Ripper, but as the name proclaims, on scaled up and beefed up beyond belief. This is no longer a heavy pistol. This is a squad based heavy repeater. But while the pistol fired heavy caliber slugs, this beast fires 10 mm slugs encased in high yield energy fields.

The Big Ripper contains two ammo drums. One for the slugs, and a second containing the energy cell required to generate the energy field. To reload or remove the solid slugs, you slide the forward grip, and crack the gun in half, allowing you to pop out the ammo drum. A second slide unloads the energy cell located closer to the barrel.

While quite effective against infantry, it's also effective against unshielded armour, reducing speeders, light walkers, and orbital transports to shreds to scrap metal in a short amount of time. When issued to troops, the Big Ripper comes with a warning to only fire the weapon in it's fully automatic setting for no longer than three second bursts to avoid overheating.

Classification: Energy-propelled slugthrower.
Size: Large
Length: 95.8 cm.
Weight: 13 kg.
Ammunition Capacity: 10 mm rounds = 120. Energy cell: = 480 rounds. (Note, you cannot use one without the other)
Range: Effective - 655 meters. 800 meters before the energy coating degrades.

Appropriate, given their fetish for tech and explosions.

'tis a shame the mandos have no resources and can't really afford to spend all this money on R&D and ships and shit.

Good thing they don't have the social programs the Alliance is saddled with. Y'know, like education.

We have an entire sector's worth of resources and we're allied with one of the largest factions. We have plenty.
