Tatoonie - Mos Eisley Cantina

It's the the middle of day time on the planet desert planet Tatoonie. Inside the usual wretched hive of scum and villainy is Ademaro Di Gino. He is sitting at a rather large table in a back corner, he has a glass of Coreliian liquor in front of him on the table, intending to drink it soon, but not yet. While the Admiral of the Blackbird Pirates is in the Cantina, the pirate group's flag ship the White Lady has touched down at Mos Eisley's spaceport. There are some other Blackbird vessels touched down at the spaceport as well. Right now Di Gino has assigned one of his more trusted Raiders to look after it as it's in the process of doing some trading and a bit of resupplying before they head back up in space. There are some raiders that Di Gino too that are in the Cantina as well grouped together at some tables. There are Biths are playing instruments in the background with a green-skined Twi'lik closely among them dancing. Di Gino couldn't care less though about those two. Background noise was all they were, as he instinctively tuned them out. Di Gino sent out a message to all of the Captains and some of the more distinguished and colorful raiders that the Blackbirds have to meet him here. They can chat, discuss things, or decide on their next course or action. Or it could devolve into... something

For what its worth, Di Gino has all his usual equipment on him. His coat, his armor, his weapons, all his standard equipment. Tatoonie has a lot of scum on it, so while he still plan on enjoy himself (given the value of it), he is still going to be wary as he does have some bounties on his head and someone might be foolish to try to collect. Di Gino is still at the table, expecting his guests to show up, as he gets odd looks from the other patrons.

OOC: All Blackbird chracters welcomed! And social thread!

Tatooine was a place every pirate had visited at least once, either because that's where they started or they needed to lay low. It's a planet that Griffin personally hated but no one knew why, simply put he didn't want to be on the same world where he was once a simply slave. He made himself into something despite what happened and he didn't want to be reminded of that. But still most of the fleet was here so he would be damned if he didn't at least meet up with the other captains and the Admiral. Not that he cared for them but hey, they are in this little enterprise together might as well see if he could get some free drinks off them.

Dressed in a duster jacket, a red dress shirt, a simple vest under that cause I didn't trust people here. Griffins belt with a holster for a DP pistol, his two Kagebo batons were strapped onto his legs on the outside of the brown pants. They looked like some sort of brace but in fact they are used to beat people up. Still he was just walking into the cantina, only now hearing the Bith, and seeing the Twi'lek dancer which, he will get the name of later. The captain also notice a few familiar faces but there was only one person here really worth knowing. The Admiral of the blackbirds, the big boss himself, and he was clearly all prepped for a ambush.

Walking towards the table the captain gave a slight nod, with a slight grin as he took the seat in front of the captain. Leaning back and putting both hands behind his head supporting it.

"Hey boss you look lonely. Want me to go talk to that Twi'lek for you?" Griffin hoped his boss would appreciate his fine sense of humor, sure it got the captain only so far with others but maybe the Admiral wouldn't mind.

"Shut up Griffin." Modviq barked as he slumped closer into the cool metal surface of their table.

Tatooine. Kriffing Tatooine. What force would compel Admiral Gino to stop off on Tatooine of all places. Mod was positively miserable underneath his oppressively thick white coat, and even having shaved and shed some of his fur before landing the searing dry heat of Tatooine was murderous. He'd even left most of his armor and weapons on the ship, leaving him in naught but his underclothes and the cut-down Slammer he used as a side arm. Of course, if anyone tried to pester him in this mood he wouldn't need the carbine to kill them. The heat was so bad that Mod had simply ordered a glass of ice and had placed it on the back of his head, letting cool water leak down his face and neck in an effort to relieve his discomfort while he held a Weequay rum up to his proboscis under the table. It tasted like bantha piss and burned on the way down but at least it was on the rocks, and that made it all worth the flavor.

Tatooine, the desert planet with two suma, for many people, this planet was the worst of the worst, but the Esoomian captain had sweet memories from the planet, there he met a good friend, there, he achieved true freedom.

And once more, he was there, entering that old cantina, Garmak was using his old vagabond armor, without nothing hiding it, he didnt even try to go without drawing attention, armored or not, he was still am Esoomian with a chainsaw instead of arm, so...whatever. Garmak searched with his eyes the man he was looking for, yep, there was the admiral, good ole Boss himself, the man grabbed one of the biggest chairs in the cantina and sat with them "Aye boss, how ya doin', did I keep ya waiting too long?"

Really? Tatooine of all places? At least it was somewhere he could get a drink and relax. The purple feline came dressed in his armor and armed to the teeth with the usual weapons. With a planet like Tatooine it's better not to trust people you don't know, but honestly the man trusted his fellow pirates less than he did the general population at times. A beige tattered and torn cloak enveloped most of his body. Eliz arrived on the scene shortly following Gar but decided on a more fun way of letting his friends know he was there. "Hey assholes catch!", he shouted from the entrance of the cantina.

With that one of his knives was thrown full force toward Griffin's direction. A curved ebony blade came barreling at the man sitting down with the admiral and party. Eliz thought it would be funny to at least see the human's reaction to the situation but had no intention of killing him... yet at least, that really depended on if he was getting paid enough. With a sudden flick of the wrist the blade was halted mid-air, centimeters from actually puncturing his skin. "Just kidding! This time anyway!"

Tatooine, a sandy dustball. There wasn't all that much more to it from Skorphoxx's point of view. Despite the arid and extremely bothersome heat of the planet's surface, the Hutt was lucky enough that his sturdy physiology meant that he couldn't have cared less about the climate, as long as he wasn't on Mustafar or Ziost, it didn't really matter how hot or cold it was. In fact, the Hutt quite enjoyed watching the usual denizens of the planet struggle from the unrelenting heat beating down on the planet, it was amusing how much moisture a human could create with a simple application of heat.

Today, however, Skorphoxx's reason for being on the planet was not the observation of inferior life-forms or even to meet up with his own kind whom so often skulked around the shady hives of scum and villainy that dotted the planet, no, today he found himself in the famed Mos Eisely cantina to meet up with the new group whom he had signed up with.

'The Blackbird Pirates' is what they called themselves and the Hutt had decided to join up with them for the time being for spoils, amusement and the opportunity to kill things. Walking into the Cantina, all six of his cybernetic legs would scrape across the ground of the booze-den, the sound of hydraulics and metal against concrete being heard as the Hutt propelled himself forward. Skorphoxx's one beady would flicker amongst the various patrons, noting that he was taller than nearly all the others in the room with the exception of perhaps the Esoomoian.

< It's good to see you again, Captain > his one-eyed gaze pinned towards Gino.

"Hey boss you look lonely. Want me to go talk to that Twi'lek for you?"
"Shut up Griffin."
At first the Blackbird Admiral didn't care for the Griffin's attempt at a joke, but he did crack a faint smile when Modviq told him to shut up. He didn't say anything though. He was waiting for the others, who then came shortly.

"Aye boss, how ya doin', did I keep ya waiting too long?"

Di Gino then replied. "Not at all, you are just in time." He saw Fel'Ran throw a knife towards Griffin, only to stop it mid-air with some weird sorcerery. People say it's the force, there are the Jedi and Sith religions devoted to it, but Di Gino just cares that he is on his side. Although then again it does raise the question of why a force user is joining a pirate gang, but it hardly matters. But yes, him nearly cutting Griffin with those knives before he stop him did earn a slight chuckle from the normally jaded Admiral. Lastly the Skorphoxx arrived. He's a curious one, a Hutt that has cybernetic legs and is really good with a blaster. That's something you don't see everyday. He is a new addition to the Blackbirds, but he did address the Admiral as a Captain, and that needs to be corrected. No big deal, not letting that disrespect him.

It's good to see you again, Captain

"Good to see you too Skorphoxx. I know you are new to the Blackbirds, but just to remind you I'm the Admiral." He said to the Hutt. The patrons were giving the Hutt odd glances, which then in turn gave odd glances to the entire Blackbird party in the cantina. Almost a melting pot of different species there. Di Gino then looks across the party he assembled. He sees everyone, inculduing Modviq appearng to struggle in the heat. To be told he didn't know much about his species, but gonna have to deal with it if he wants to stick around for the gathering, this isn't a group of softie Republic senators. They're pirates. Now. To move this gathering forward since enough people are here.

"Thank you all for coming." he said as he sips a glass of his drink. "Now, in the past few years, us Blackbirds have been growing bigger and bigger each year. The last major job that happened under our banner was us attacking a rather sizable freighter convoy in the Nal Hutta system owned some Hutt leaders. We stole their cargo and ransomed off the Hutts there for major credits. But that was a while ago. But now it's time to action to take ourselves to the next level. First, the Insurgency. Ya'll heard their boardcast right? They are rising up and want to restore that Republic that fell. And I'm hearing reports of these guys reaching out to anyone to help them weaken the integrity of the Imperial's ownership in Corellia. We could get in on that, help out the little their little rebellion. Of course we wouldn't do it for their republic. We are doing it for the credits, we can get hands on Imperial resources of our own, and if the Corellia sector falls to the rebels, that could be a ripe target for us. Do they even have a fleet right now? Let's discuss." With that, Di Gino throws the idea out for the group to talk among themselves. Di Gino might be the leader of the group, but the opinions of his trusted crew are very important things to consider.

To say that Griffin was enjoying his time would be a total lie. Everyone was kriffing butts, seriously asses. His joke earned him a shut up from a man who wasn't even a captain, and a freaking giant fur ball. Then of course came the stupid cat thing. Oh how he will get back on that kriffing cat. Still when he turned to watch the knife he lean back almost falling out of his chair and into the table. But the man didn't say or do anything. As the blade was held in air, some stupid magic trick. Maybe one day he will practice such a trick.

Still he turned around doing his best to keep up a smile more forced and clearly hiding his anger. But Griffin wasn't going to do anything just yet, facing the Admiral he listen to the man speaking about the rebellion and possibly helping the insurgents. Something he had already began to work on. So felt best to speak up about it.

"Actually sir I already reached out and started working with the idiots. Got a few projects in the oven that might be worth more then that last job boss. But I wouldn't put all our chips in there, while the empire and the idiots fight it out. Maybe we focus our best on getting a good place to set up in the outer rim. No telling how unstable the core worlds will get." Griffin said his piece and lean back against the chair, tapping with his right hand on the kagebo baton wondering what the others will say.

But the worst part for Griffin was the lack of woman among these captains, not saying he wanted equity but damn these meeting are just going to be boring for him.

Tatooine, a desolate hellhole of a planet, an odd choice to hold a gathering on. With it's unbearable heat, and the large amount of dry sand. Nec, also personally despised the planet, namely the mass slavery that took place upon the planet. However, he put aside his personal grudge's against the planet for now.

Even, with the heat, he walked in, fully equipped with his weapon's and armor. Most noticeably, his dual vibroblade's held at hips. He'd walk into the Cantina, scanning the crowd inside the Cantina, finding the other Pirate's, gathering around a table. Walking up towards the table, quickly taking a chair around the table.

Turing towards, the Admiral.
"Hope I ain't too late, to this little meeting, boss." I'd then look at the other interesting characters sitting around the table. Looking to each, observing them, rarely did you see one that moved from more then one place. He'd take an interest in the Esoomian. His chainsaw arm being..unique to say the least.

Tatooine, a cesspool in nearly every way possible and imaginable, and a refuge to the galaxies less than law abiding population, with all manners of shady characters littered about on the dirty, trash riddled walkways. To some, a way of escaping captivity, and to others, a form of escapism from their normal law-breaking days. It was also a place that she'd considered going to after her fallout on Cloud City a few weeks beforehand. Now, seeing it in person, a spark of satisfaction bubbled through Ellié knowing she'd decided against it.

Licking her already chapped lips, she couldn't help but mentally curse herself for the boots she'd chosen. Not because they were outlandish or frail in material or quality by any means, but because of how the heels would sink into the loose sand and immobilize her typical long legged strides. The further and longer she walked, the more Ellié yearned that she hadn't taken a detour to meet and speak personally with a close friend she'd made some years ago, who'd happened to be on Tatooine as well, as luck would have it. Though in hindsight, a few blisters could easily be remedied so, getting to converse with a friend she hadn't seen in some time was well worth it, she supposed.

Her meeting had gone fairly well, save for a few snickers from her friend on her over dressed appearance, at least according to him. To him, apparently, the desert scarf that was covering up her head and neck was completely unneeded, to which she'd pointed out the blotchy red skin on her neck and face that had popped up almost immediately upon setting foot on the hellish planet. That, at least, had warranted a good laugh from him, and after a few more minutes of talking together, they had parted way: Her friend to whatever endeavors laid before him for the day, and Ellié off towards the meeting place that the Admiral had chosen.

***
Once inside the Cantina, Ellié couldn't help but relish in the cool building, a stark contrast from the sweltering heat of the outside. Taking a moment to collect herself, she unwrapped the scarf from her head and neck, tucking it inside the satchel on her side which held her datapad and camera, which in doing so showed off the deep v-neck of her khaki, long-sleeved, loose fitting blouse. Attached by a belt to her simple form-fitting khaki pants, the holster that supported her SA-21 pistol was easily assessable if anything were to go array, including her wrist-mounted blaster, the DS-23, hidden underneath the left sleeve of her blouse. Having not felt the need to come in all decked out, save for her two blasters, like some of the Blackbird members she could see from her position, she hoped that their meeting would go over smoothly, thought that would remain to be seen in a Cantina full of Pirates, Smugglers and likely Bounty Hunters.

Finally having gathered her barring, she walked over to the others at the large table in the back corner, a well-situated position in case of ambushes, her mind quickly deducted. Having decided to stay on the White Lady for her duration within the Blackbird Pirates so far, none of the people currently gathered at the table were familiar to her, save for the Admiral. When she reached the table, her eyes shifted to those already seated, just catching the last part of his speech involving the newly revealed Insurgency, and she had to forcefully keep the scoff from leaving her lips. The Insurgency would no doubt fail, just as the Old Republic had, but, of course, there were credits to be made in helping them, as said, and anything that could cause a pain in the ass for the Empire was a plus in her book.

Giving a small nod to the Admiral, Ellié slipped into one of the free seats, a male Devaronian having just arrived moments before her, next to the human man across from the Admiral, her voice soft as she gave her own quick worded apology, "I apologize for being late, Boss." and with that said, she took the datapad from her satchel, typing silently away at its screen, beginning to add onto a complex line of coding she was working on, and silently listened to the man beside her in the duster jacket and red dress shirt speak, waiting to hear what the others might say or suggest as well before offering up her own ideas.

Mod got a true and jolly kick out of Fel'ran's antics regarding Griffin, as the loud mouth had been in desperate need of silencing.

"You missed."
He rumbled, removing the glass of ice from his neck to suck down any water that had formed from melting ice. As the last of the pirates, brigands, and thieves filtered in, the Admiral piped up and laid down the evenings first point of conversation. And arguably, its dumbest. Fighting the Sith Empire? For what? So they can prop up another government that will hunt and kill them? This sounded absolutely ridiculous? Getting between the Sith Empire and these Insurgency idiots would be like getting between the Houk and the Weequay in a barfight, you died first. The only thing more shocking here was that Mod found himself agreeing with Griffin on sticking to the Outer Rim, as the Core was currently a battleground for some of the biggest players in the galaxy.

"Gotta agree with Griffin there, Admiral. I joined a pirate crew, not a suicide pact."

Garmak kept watching the door, seeing new Blackbirds enter enter one after another, they were a bunch now there in the cantina, at this este, they would take it over without doing nothing at that rate, the Esoomian giggled when the purple Cat thing did that knife trick, he appreciated jokes like that, jokes that, and if that was done to him instead of Griffin, he would probably be laughing is ass off. However, he stopped giggling as soon as that hutt appeared, initially, no Hutt was good from his point of view, and he was ready to fight him if he tried something against him and the rest of the pirates. However, to his surprise, this was no fancy Hutt that sat all his day on a big palace while doing nothing, this Hutt was a pirate, a part of the blackbird pirates..."Maybe he ain't that bad" he thought "Guess ill wait to talk to him personally to decide if he is an idiot like the rest of the Hutts..."

So, the admiral, started to talk, tell what he wanted to do, and people started to tell their opinion about it, so he would naturally do it too "All right, I think ya ain't gettin' what boss wants to do, he isn't talkin' about directly challengin' the Empire, he is talkin' about what we do best, those morons that are fightin' the Empire won't probably win, but there are many people that hate the Empire, and many of 'em will join the Insurgency, bein' a pain in the ass of the Empire, there are also the jedi who are also fightin". The Esoomian smiled "So, while the Empire is focused on dealin' with those two factions, we can take advantage and raid their ships, their less protected planets and take their resources, knowin' those idiots, they will probably understimate us, putting minimal effort against our actions, bein' easy targets. If the Empire wins against those too, they will be two weakened to do anything until they recover, if the Insurgency somehow wins, they will be fresh, easy target for us, and on the meanwhile we can take everything from 'em while expandin' on the outer rim, who is gonna stop us? The Hutts are now lickin' the Jedi Order's boots and the Mandalorians are also too busy fightin' the Empire!"

Seems that Griffin and Mod aren't really in favor of swinging full Blackbird support around the Insurgency. Garmak sees where he is coming from. Nobody else has chimed in either, presumably stilll thinking about it or just have nothing to say. Di Gino however isn't going to say that Mod and Griffin didn't have valid points. Propping up governments that will become enemies with isn't exactly what pirates do. And the core is one big battlefield to get caught in. If they do want to help the Insurgency on Corellia, then that's alright. Di Gino won't force them into it. "You two are not wrong to hesitate. It's merely an option, we aren't going to commit to it if we all don't want to. But as Griffin is already doing, if you want to help then on your own time, then there's nothing stopping you." He said with a blank expression on his face. Di then then with his right hand then raked some his hair from front to back, to get it out of his eyes. Then he leans. "So enough about the Insurgency. So after several years after the Blackbirds have established as a force on the outer rim, we really never had a place to call home. A lot of us Blackbirds eat, drink, and sleep on our vessels or on planets such as these. But now, I think it's time we get ourselves our own homebase and start taking resources for our future. I've been thinking... anyone been to Cloud City on Bespin?" He then brings up the next point of this discussion. Cloud City, rich in wealth and in tibanna gas. With a lot of work, it could be a huge pirate haven. Di Gino leans back in his seat as the other Blackbirds discuss this.

Crossing her legs underneath the table, she takes a moment to look up from her datapad and towards Admiral Di Gino, debating mentally whether or not to offer up her own experiences and time living within Cloud City. No doubt at least a few of her fellow acquaintances attending the meeting had once been to the colony, or at least gone past it at some point in their lives. The mental debate played out in the confines of her mind before she finally decided to place the datapad onto the table, text sliding across its screen. Complex coding that no one other than herself would decipher, at least at a glance, that is.

"I actually lived in Cloud City for some years before joining with you and the Blackbirds, Admiral. It's a beautiful place to call home, but well protected. The Baron Administrator is a rather pretentious dick if you ask me, at least from what I've seen from him, and any coup we may try will be met with heavy opposition. Though if we can take it, Cloud City would be an amazing place for us to set up a home base, as said. And help in allowing future expansions that you may choose in the future." At this, she relaxes back into her seated position, thoughts of Cloud City running through her mind, and the friends she'd made while living there before leaving to join the Blackbird Pirates.

Griffin watched as even more people came in, one girl that looked way to young to be here. Probably not even 18 years old! So he was going to avoid that hot mess. A dude with devil horns also came in, not that he was a space racist but he never bothered to learn that species name. So as they settled down, it came as a surprise that the furry wookie thing actually agreed with him. It felt weird but still he was glad to see some support. Though it seemed the big weird looking alien didn't seem to get what they were coming from.

But before he could continue that little discussion it seemed the admiral wanted to move past that talk. Which was probably good as Griffin had like a thousand reasons why right now the Core worlds are only good for small scale pirating but could only be done by teaming up with one of the two big players. Which had so many issues with it if you didn't know how to play the cards right.

Bespin is a world he never really been too, but from what the new child girl was saying maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea to head there. So long as she and Griffin were in different ships.

"Never been to Bespin myself, and having a base will do us a lot of good. Admiral I would suggest we also focus on collecting more man power and ship power. Don't want to lose our new home to the newest bunch of kriffing idiots that come by." Griffin wasn't a fan of big fights but he knew once they take the place there will be plenty of those that will challenge them.

So the best defense to that is have bigger guns.

"The next bunch of kriffing idiots? Then what does that make us?" Griffin, not the master of phrasing, or speech in general, for that matter. But he did still have a fair point, Bespin was something of a big fish for the Blackbirds to try and catch, at least not without support. The little girl at the other end of the table might be a Bespin insider, but they would need more than a local guide to knock over a planet. While Griff was interested in building up their strength, Mod had learned early on that taking the other guy out at the knees worked just as well.

"How about we just sabotage Bespin before we go in? Plant a few bombs, wreck a few Cloud Cars, loot their arsenals, hamstring the Wing Guard before we roll over them?"
