- The Warning -

Krex pushed his way through the crowded corridors, rifle in plain sight to prevent anyone from making a move on him. Although the Station had a vigilant Police Force, it was still a haven for some of the worst sorts. The Zabrak was in his armor at the moment, further warning to those that may have wanted to try something against him. Shoving aside a couple of drunks, which then caused them to collapse on the floor in the middle of the corridor, Krex entered the Station's Cantina, its namesake. The Duskrat Cantina, making its home on Duskrat Station. It hadn't always been called Duskrat Station, of course, but because of the Cantina's wild success, it had been renamed. Krex didn't really like the new name all that much.

If Krex had thought that the Station's corridors were packed, then he was completely unprepared for the sheer mass of people in the Cantina itself. All around there was laughter, conversation, booming music and dancers, the last of the four receiving the most attention through loud cheers, whistles and rounds of applause. Krex muttered under his breath and finally reached the Cantina's bar. The barkeep, an old Twi'Lek with laugh lines etched upon his features, immediately came to him. "What can I get you, my friend?" asked the Twi'Lek, not the least intimidated by the Zabrak's armor and weapon. He grinned, glad of that. This guy was the one kind of person he actually didn't mind.

"Johrian whiskey, please," replied Krex. The Twi'Lek smiled, nodded, and then moved off to complete his rounds and then return with all of the drinks. After about fifteen minutes, he finally came back around to Krex. The barkeep set down the blue-green drink on the bar in front of Krex, who grinned, took it, and took a few careful sips. He had no intention of becoming drunk on this night. He was going to relax a bit, but he was still going to keep his senses sharp. "Thanks, barkeep," Krex called after the Twi'Lek as he moved along on his rounds. The barkeep didn't look back, too busy at the moment to do so. The Bounty Hunter grinned, shook his head, and then turned in his chair, watching the band and dancers performing not too far away. Then the noise came.

'SCREEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCHHHHHH'

Krex flinched, his hands flying up to cover his ears as the sound blasted out of all of the speakers on the Station. As it came to an end after what seemed like ages, Krex brought his hands away from his ears, shaking his head to clear his shock. Silence, now. That's all there was. No one spoke, no music played, no one even moved. There was simply complete silence. Then the voice spoke, saying something that could only be the words of a mad man, and, of course, they were. Because the person speaking certainly had no motives for what he had done. First there was wheezing laughter, and then words came.

"I have planted a bomb on Duskrat Station. Now you all will play a little game for me. I will give you three hours to evacuate the Station, and then the countdown begins before the place goes BOOM! If one of you manages to find it before the 24-hour countdown is completed, then I promise to give you a clue as to my whereabouts. That is all for now. Please... have a nice day, my dear, dear friends!"

There were a few moments of more silence, and then panic set in and everyone ran for the exits. Krex sat up straight in his seat, pressing a button on the small, concealed control pad on the arm section of his armor. After a moment, there was a beep, signaling that 'The Gunrunner' had locked down until further orders came from the Bounty Hunter. Then he leapt to his feet, mind already racing as to where the bomb could possibly be. Whoever it was that had spoken had certainly planned things out; with the panicked crowd, it would be impossible to try and search for the bomb until everyone was evacuated and the countdown began. He turned to the barkeep, who had not left either. It seemed only the two of them had no intentions of leaving, or at least, the only two in the cantina.

"Barkeep! Get into contact with the security forces on board, see if they can get a message through the intercom. Let them know that they need to have everyone who plans on staying to try and help, outside of the Station's staff, come to the central cantina as soon as possible! There's no way we're going to be able to find this thing without some sort of coordinated effort," he barked, while already slipping on his spiked-gauntlet, his weapon of choice, when he wasn't using his blaster-rifle. The cantina was already abandoned save for the two of them, with everyone heading to the transports and ships and anything else that could get them off of the Station.

The Twi'Lek nodded immediately, and then raced off to the backdoor of the cantina, which would lead into the much-less crowded corridors of the Station, less crowded because the Hangars and other forms of transportation were in the opposite direction. After about two hours, the message finally came over the intercom, just as the barkeep returned, holding a comlink. The Twi'Lek tossed it to Krex, who reached out and caught it, giving a nod of thanks to the barkeep. Now it was a matter of waiting. He swallowed, hard. Although he was a Bounty Hunter, he actually cared for innocent lives. So, he would do what he could to try and stop this bomb.
