Bood Munk was a Gungan worker and trade unionist who lived during the Force Eternal era.

Born to an impoverished family of Gungan exiles, Bood never saw the oceans and underwater cities of his people. Instead, he grew up across various industrial planets in the Mid-Rim, constantly on the move as his parents sought work.

As soon as he was able, Bood left for the Core Worlds, drawn by promises of steady employment, security and potential prosperity. Unfortunately, the reality didn't match the dream. Hoping to find well-paid work in the shipyards of Kuat, Bood spent his last credits trying to establish himself there, only to find there was little bit insecure and dangerous jobs with few career prospects. Especially for Gungans.

As his anger and despondency grew, watching other workers suffer and starve for minuscule wages, Bood grew more and more radicalised. He came to believe that sentients like himself would never be able to succeed in society without radical change. And, if it was necessary, he was willing to make it happen. Arranging meetings with other non-humans and low-paid workers, Bood began to pitch his vision of better conditions, greater wages and a future worth living in. As best as an unintelligent Gungan could, of course.

Unsophisticated and undereducated, Bood was dismissed by many as 'yet another stupid Gungan.' However, Bood possessed a steely determination and a certain amount of low cunning. Burning for a better Galaxy, Bood was torn between peaceful protest and more radical action throughout his work. Despite his Gungan way of speaking, Bood could fire up a crowd of disgruntled workers with a sense of solidarity, shared burdens and crude name-calling.
