Bounties idea

Hutt sponsored bounties would be a good idea. Both for your folks, and to encourage Indies.

I think we could use this somehow. I was thinking that we could have a bounty board full of NPC's, building up and gaining PC's as we go, much like the Sith Imperium who has a similar board. Will give our members something to do other than missions. They could submit their own NPC's as bounties. We could use the Holonet hub to broadcast the bounties. Maybe some bounties have to be completed a certain way, make it look like an accident, or frame someone.

Has potential. Not sure if we should use it beyond NPC's for now though, because beside a few Waste Rangers we don't have anyone to add really. I mean we could add a Rebel or two, but mostly it'd be Waste Rangers and a Sith or two in there. It would give our members something to keep in mind, but I also see it like an 'invitation' to hurt the Cartel in some way to get on there, know what I mean?

The Hutt Cartel's
Most Wanted​

Below is a list of the most wanted criminals of the Hutt Cartel. Ranging in severity, risk, difficulty, and importance from High, Medium, and Low, each bounty will not only be rewarded in credits, but also in fame and reputation. These bounties are not closed to bounty hunters or mercenaries, but any member of the Hutt Cartel who wishes to gain some extra credits and/or rise through the ranks and gain fame. The higher the level of the target is, the more fame and status you will receive. There is also room for those who wish to add to the bounty of specific targets. This option is for members who do not deem their skills able, or for those who are known to hire people to complete such tasks for them. Adding to bounties will also garner more status and fame. With this comes the option to set a special parameter to the bounty. For example: An investor adds 1,000Cr to bounty A with the requirement that their head be brought back on a silver platter. Completion of these tasks will grant you the bounty reward, plus the amount the investor has added. If the bounty is not completed with the specified requirement, then only the reward will be given, and the investor keeps their amount. I was also thinking, and would like to get everyones opinion, that we provide an investment opportunity for characters. For instance Hutt characters that do not need to go on the bounty themselves, but can put money up and set up special parameters such as framing it on someone else, or bringing their heads back to their character. This investment will bring more status and reputation to the character, as well as making connections with the person who collects the bounty.

We will decide if the person is eligible to add money, and how much they add, and if their special request is feasible.

Another thing. We have our first PC volunteer to get a bounty on his head.

Meet. Le-Ken Wohn. Sounds Asian to me but whatever...

He's killed a few low ranked Cartel men and messed with our plans on Zonju V apparently. Suspect 32 should probably confirm it but right now he wants a bounty on his head, I tried to delay it but he wouldn't have none of it. So for intents and purposes I told him that he's a marked man as of now and that Hutt space is dangerous for him.

What amount he should be given though... I got no idea.

I think it may be too early in the game to add him on the list as a PC, or anyone for that matter. Though I suppose we could recognize him as a no fly, where if he enters hutt space then we can do something. But like I said, we havnt even put up the bounties list yet, which I'm planning on doing today.

The bounties idea seems to be taking off quite nicely which has sparked another idea in my mind. There is no doubt that bounty hunters are a big part of the Cartel. So why not give prestige where it is earned? Basically I am suggesting a bounty hunters leader-board. Where we keep track of how many bounties one has completed and post them up to see who has the highest, and therefore who is the leading bounty hunter for the Cartel. Obviously some bounties are worth more than others, though we can factor that in.

I like this idea! A question then that a lot of people will ask is, how do the bounties figure in the promotion process, do they provide prestige ICly and count as missions OOCly?

I was thinking the same thing. I would say they count as missions. OR we could add bounties as just another step to promotion.

As in a mandatory requirement a;ongside mission? Some people might just not want to do bounty hunting, so they might be badly affected by such requirements. What if instead of a certain number of missions, people have to do a total of that many missions and bounties with atleast half the number or two-thirds the number being missions? Will ensure that people do at least something other than bounty hunting.

From Prospect to Enforcer:

• Provide all the threads his or her character did as a member of this faction [and provide short descriptions of said threads so that the staff has an idea of what's going on]
• Provide/point out links to at least 4 Cartel jobs the PC did (at least two need to be missions).
• Share with us what their character thinks of the Cartel and how he's proven his loyalty to the faction
• Also must have at least one Captain, or higher, ranked PC vouch for him/her.
