Brawn Versus...Wisdom?

Xaliv walked towards the training rooms. What the Force was going on? He had finally gotten off of the Light of the Force and now the Council was asking him to work with Rasuk Feeik a Padawan of Yoda's species who was in his seventies! Of all the Jedi they could have recommended Xaliv felt that he was the least qualified. But the Jedi Council had requested that he work with the small green man. Xaliv had great respect for the species, but it felt wrong to put them together.

Xaliv entered the training room that he had reserved. It was empty. Thank the Force he could meditate until Feeik arrived. Xaliv's heavy form sat down cross-legged and closed his eyes. He needed to stay calm, but he also needed to avoid any visions that might bring about his paranoia. Other Knights had mentioned that it was not right for him to feel that way about his vision or himself. It was not exactly a Jedi thing.

Xaliv opened his senses. He could sense the people in the temple immediately. He waited and began to search for specific people. He could sense a few that he knew, but none that he knew well. He shifted his focus again, this time to the hallway just outside and the surrounding training rooms. Xaliv could sense a few people in the hallway. But it was not exactly clear how which one he was supposed to be training. Likely he would know when the man came through the door.

It was so strange to be training someone over forty years older than himself. Both species were long lived but members of Yoda's species tended to live longer than most other species. Likely Xaliv would die before Rasuk, but that was not important at the moment. What he needed to do was prepare himself to take on what was probably the greatest challenge of his lifetime.

Rasuk the little green creature was walking slowly down the hallway towards a specific room. He was chewing on his little cane, he had been told he was to meet with a certain Jedi by the name of Xaliv, a person whom will be the one to introduce him to the force and the lightsaber. He was looking forward to it, yet he was calm and collected, he did not show much excitement yet it was easily seen within. It would normally take him several minutes before he would reach his destination, but today he walked faster than normal. He was far from adept in the force, even thought the force flowed through his body, his age did not show, he was still a child to many in appearance, but his mind was well, his knowledge about the Jedi and the Force was rather big, even thought he had not recieved any training or practice in neither. He gathered himself before he pushed the door open slowly and walked in finding Xaliv meditating in the center of the room, Rasuk mildly closed the door before he turned with his clothes on and chewing on his cane he sat down on the floor in front of the Jedi. He proceeded to place the cane in front of him before he sat down in a meditative stance and closed his eyes, waiting for a response from his new "Master".

Xaliv opened his eyes when he sensed the small, green humanoid sit down in front of him. The small man looked like a much younger version of Yoda, due to holorecords Xaliv knew what Yoda looked like, though he did look older than expected. The Crystavian noticed that Feeik had a cane. Strange, Xaliv thought. He doesn't look like he even needs a cane.

Hello, he said after a moment. I am Xaliv. You may address me as Master Xaliv or Master. If you want to know anything about me, you only need ask. Now tell me a little bit about yourself.

Xaliv knew there was something about this species that never allowed them to reveal where their planet was, for all anyone in the galaxy knew they were extragalactic beings. He was not expecting any information of that kind, but he did want to know something of who Rasuk was up to this point.

Rasuk sat before his new mastered as he chewed a bit upon it while listening to him speaking, he could feel the force flowing through him and the room.

"Rasuk my name is, a planet far far away I come from.... 77 years old I am and joined the Jedi I did recently..."

Rasuk responded as he let the cane roll to the side and away from him as he leaned forward resting his arms against his feet, smiling to the master.

"Master hm.... crash landed I did... long ago that was, life changing it was..."

His speaking pattern is similar to that of Yoda and the rest of his species, yet Rasuk likes to be cryptic and very secretive yet he likes to pull pranks on his friends.

Xaliv nodded. Nothing unexpected. Not a word of what Rasuk said was surprising, not even the way he spoke. There is something about him though. There was something that just did not make sense though. He could not get what it was though. Maybe it was just him, but the green humanoid seemed odd. Who was he kidding, of course it was just him. He had never met a single member of this species before, everything about them was strange.

Thank you for telling me a little about yourself, the Crystavian said. So, is there anything you wish to go over with me right now before I start training you what I want you to know?

He knew that every Padawan of any age always had something he desired to learn. Xaliv would have to teach Rasuk Form IV: Ataru eventually, due to the green humanoid's small size, but that could wait until later.

 

[Belth Allusis]

The little Jedi stood up slowly and took his robe off and stood there as tall as he was with only his lightsaber hanging by his side.

"Specific training I seek.... in the future I do hm... the force special is, the essence of the jedi training it is hm? perhaps begin we should...."

Rasuk responded as he leaped into the air and landed on a chair to the left of the Jedi Knight.

Xaliv was stunned. That was completely unexpected. Usually jumping was a part of training. Though it took less time to learn that than any other power. How long have you been here Rasuk?

Xaliv then tapped into the Force and began to shift the table next to the chair. As he was only demonstrating, he slowly lifted the table and moved it in front of the small Jedi.

Rasuk stood on the comfortable chair in front of the master as he lifted the table with ease using the force.

"been here a month.... I have"

Xaliv nodded, What have you learned in your time here? Xaliv needed to get a feel for Rasuk. He needed to understand what Rasuk knew and what was he was immediately open to. If the small being had the potential that was accredited to his species, Xaliv had more work cut out for him than he first expected.

The little Rasuk stood there he looked down towards his cane for a moment as he sat down with his legs crossed and smiled at the master before h closed his eyes and began to speak.

Not much learned I have, studying in the temple archives I have..... the force all around us is, it is our ally.... but need to learn how to use it I need... same for the lightsaber.... hm...

Xaliv nodded, Alright, listen to my words carefully. Don't let anything escape you. Xaliv gestured to the table between them, Close your eyes. Stretch out with your feelings...now feel for the table...think about it lifting off the ground... Xaliv watched in anticipation. Hopefully this young humanoid was as powerful as expected.
