Sometimes Evandrus swore that the Galaxy hated him.

Sometimes, when things should be really simple, things were suddenly a barrel of kark. He had known for awhile now that he wanted a team of designers from Corellia for his company and he had arranged a meeting in advance.

And, naturally, the Galaxy decided that he didn't get what he wanted.

Upon landing, he and Xornoth had been informed that the team of designers he had wanted had been kidnapped by a local gang and were being held to ransom. Now, while he could afford to pay the ransom? He wasn't going to.

Instead, Evandrus was annoyed enough about the whole thing that he was more than happy to just use violence. Hence why they were approaching an 'abandoned' warehouse in the slums of Corellia in their armour.

"Xornoth... remind me again why I don't just kidnap people we need?" he asked with a put upon sigh before shaking his head, "Forget it... only two guards out front. This is going to be easy."

Xornoth had started to notice all the subtle changes that had occurred with both his own mannerisms and how he would respond to situations. To think that a few years ago and how naive he had been and hostile to the way of the Sith whereas now it had begun to feel natural.

Corellia was yet another world that he hadn't visited before and lacked the simple and robust feel that he had come to admire from Lothal but then again they weren't here to stay long. With the kidnapping having ended the chance for a quick negotiation like they had just completed back home, instead, they would get a chance to win their loyalty by letting the team witness the true power of the dark side. Complemented in his usual Sith armor and weapons, today was a show more than anything.

"Aren't we working on our image right now?" Xornoth sniggered coyly. "Show me something I've never done before." Evandrus was a skilled force user and one that was quite imaginative. Xornoth simply yearned to learn from the best after all.

Show him something he hadn't seen before huh? What, was he some kind of amusing side show for Xornoth or something? Giving it some thought for a moment, Evandrus decided that he might as well.

It wasn't like he had anything better to do after all. He pointed to Xornoth even as he began to collect two groups of a dozen metal nails in each group. He squeezed them with the Force, thinning them and sharpening them into long, thin, needles.

"Medical studies can be useful."

Using the Force, Evandrus guided the needles through the air, hiding them from view. It was only when the two guards were already surrounded that he acted.

A single needle for each, stabbing into a very specific section of the body from behind. They both tried to scream but the needle had pierced nerves leading to the voice box. Another two needles for each, stabbing into the spines. Both guards fell to the ground as their limbs no longer seemed to want to obey them.

And then the rest, leaving them looking like a pincushion collection.

He glanced at Xornoth,

"They're paralysed, Xornoth, with fluids building up in their lungs and their lungs unable to cough." He shrugged, "That's how you drown someone without any liquid around."

Xornoth was impressed, to say the least, it seemed that his friend was quite the inventive force user indeed and the poor idiots never stood a chance against such a brutal but ingenious attack.

"I'll try not to disappoint!" he strode forward confidently toward the entrance that the pair had previously been guarding before their little incident. Had Xornoth been less confident he would have perhaps tried to enter sneakily and take the facility by surprise but that was not who he was anymore. The Sith were bold, ruthless and above all absolute in their resolve to end this little problem with extreme prejudice.

The puny door buckled under the immense weight of the force as Xornoth held his lightsaber hilt in the right hand, clenching a fist with his left hand as the exertion effortlessly occurred. The room was laid bare before the Sith and exposed three guards quietly sitting around a small table playing cards. To say they were surprised to be disturbed would be an understatement as the armored, lightsaber-wielding juggernaut entered the field. Quickly as the door broke, the trio inside reached for the table where their weapons were sitting as they scrambled to arm themselves for battle but alas they were too slow.

In an instant crash of light and cracking, red lightning burst forth out of his extended left hand and enveloped the first before diverging toward the second and third targets and wrapping them likewise in the electrical energy that was spewed outward from Xornoth. He was careful not to instantly destroy the three as he intended only to paralyze them for the moment as he approached them menacingly to invoke a deep-seated fear before striking two of them down with his lightsaber.

The third unlucky one fell to the ground on his knees as the lightning ceased, Xornoth lifted the man into the air and strangled him enough to be uncomfortable but to keep him alive for the moment. See Xornoth had been practicing the mental aspects of the force and had gotten it down to a fine art in bulldozing through simple minds and their pathetic excuse for defenses. Within moments the Sith Master had acquired the information that he was after but still, he was not yet content.

Xornoth continued to press and drill for more, tearing up the man's mind everywhere the force took him and slowly but surely, destroyed the mind of the man without so much as a scratch on him.

Well, some scratching from the lighting but hey nobody is perfect.

"There are seven others, two outside on the back door and three with the hostages leaving two roaming around. Your call." Xornoth grinned as his efforts bore fruit.

Evandrus could tell that Xornoth was rather enjoying this whole thing and that amused him to no end. Leave it to his primary Kaleesh follower to take a look at something 'horrifying' and find nothing but excitement in it.

It was rather adorable in it's own way, he supposed.

"I never have to worry about you disappointing me, Xornoth." he countered as he strode alongside his Kaleesh ally, his main lightsaber twirling, unignited, in his right hand as he did so, "Now... show me what you've got."

Chain lightning huh?

He approved.

The fact that it was used not as a finishing move but as more of a disabling move? He approved even more. Especially as he could feel the fear in the men as they were hunted by the Kaleesh.

Taking information from one guard's mind just made good sense to his mind.

Hmm.

"The three with the hostages." he declared simple as he strode forwards with a grin, "Through this wall, right?"

Blasting the wall apart with the Force, Evandrus smiled behind his helmet as he ignited his lightsaber in his right hand. The hostage takers seemed to be taken entirely by surprise and he took advantage of that - grabbing all three in the Force and suspending them in the air.

And then he began to pull.

Specifically? He was pulling the limbs of the kidnappers, pulling them slowly but strongly, consistently. They began to pop out of their sockets and then the flesh began to rend as he quartered them using the Force. He glanced back at Xornoth as two of them died first, their bodies torn into quarters by the Force,

"Can you believe that societies used to use Banthas to pull them off? This is almost merciful!"

The last one died with an almighty scream.

Almost.

Xornoth stood silently as the Sith Lord shattered the solid wall in front of them and utterly surprised the resident thieves and thugs inside before snatching them up with the force. Their shaken bodies cosmetically flailed in the air with nil effect until their limbs went taut by way of the force exerting upon the extremities. Xornoth stood in awe as Evandrus pulled them apart easily like they were crisps being plucked from a dip.

Looking back to his friend for the remark he responded with a grin "Almost."

Xornoth tensed as he felt the presence of the last four guards approaching rapidly, soon the metallic clanking would be heard as the four of them rounded the corner having now had the time to fully arm themselves and now stood in a line ready to fire upon both Sith and the hostages. With his left hand, Xornoth reached out with the force to grip all four blaster weapons and immediately pulled them into the air, ensuring they were aiming harmlessly away despite the kidnappers maintaining their hold on their own weapons.

"My Lord, sometimes people have a hard time letting things go. Fortunately, it is not easy to hold a grudge when one is burnt alive."

Xornoth deactivated his lightsaber and placed it calmly on his belt while keeping the four suspended. His right hand now free, he shifted his gloved thumb across his fingers in a familiar pattern while blowing softly on them as if breathing heat into them.

The four suddenly lost their nerve but were unable to release their weapons to escape, in a panic they began to beg for their lives and offered to turncoat on each other. It seemed that none were at fault, they were all innocently following orders as they begged for mercy.

"There is no such thing as a plea of innocence in my court. A plea of innocence is guilty of wasting my time, but to lie to a Head Warden is to forfeit your soul."

His wrist snapped suddenly forward and out from his fingertips spewed forth a torrent of force fire in a blue plume of heat and hate. The flames curled and caught all in its path, setting the four ablaze and cries of agony could be heard from each mouth. The immense heat and veracity of the torment would then silence just as quickly before nothing but ash could be seen piling down below where they previously stood.

Almost?

Yeah they both knew that was a bit of a joke wasn't it? There wasn't anything merciful about anything that they were indulging in right now. Right now they were acting like the very definition of the Sith or the Exiles or whatever else they called the 'evil dark siders' in the bedtime stories they read to their children. It didn't matter in the end.

In the end, they were pretty much done here and whoever was left would need to pick up the pieces because he was going to make sure that the design team were leaving with them.

He hoped that they would join up of their own free will but, well, their compliance was not really a factor.

"Who wants to come with us back to Imperial space, where things like this? Don't happen to people like you!"

Good distinction to make there at the end he felt.

All but one of the designers looked very interested in the idea and eagerly accepted once he had freed them from their bindings with the Force. One of them, however, shook his head violently,

"I don't want to go anywhere with you!"

Evandrus stared at the man for a moment before shrugging.

"To be honest... your compliance isn't a factor."

Grabbing the man's legs with the Force, he began to fold his legs in on themselves. Like rolling a tube of toothpaste from the end - he began to fold her limbs in from her toes, six inched of her limbs folding over every time. Bones cracked and blood pooled and he didn't even care.

He just carried on until he had folded the man's legs all the way up to the waist. He used the Force to hand the crying, whimpering, man to his follow hostages,

"Carry him. We'll replace his legs if he works hard enough." he declared before glancing at Xornoth, "Ready to go?"

Xornoth heard the cracking of bone and cartilage as the man's leg was forced to bend in unnatural ways, his screams were loud but the bone snapping was louder. The brutality clearly overwhelmed the central nervous system of the man as he passed out, which didn't really matter as he was going to be carried out whether he wanted to come or not.

Xornoth winced at the thought of what had just occurred, muttering something under his breath before turning to Evandrus. "Someday perhaps I will achieve something so great, that you cannot outdo me eh? Yes, let us go then. I believe you mentioned we have work still to do."
