Star Six, Star Twelve" A shimering image of a slight framed figure spoke out over the holocom console in each of the two pilot's cockpits. "You should have broken atmo by know and approching the target area" The figure continued before her gaze moved away off camera to regard the read outs of her holo console. Standing withing the command deck of the Fleet carrier being used for the operation, the Jedi master viewed the tactical read out being displayed to her.

"This is going to be a bit of a tricky mission, star six, your fighter has had its missile tube removed and replaced with a targeting scanner. Your mission is to relay targetting information back to the orbiting frigate's fire teams.you are the eyes for the turbo laser batteries that will take out the weapons bunkers hidden on the planets surface. " The figure resumed as her attention moved towards the photo receptor she was addressing, her fingers tapping away at the screen and transmitting the surveillance images of the bunkers. "Star twelve, your mission is to cover Star Six, whilst the targetting data is transmitted back to the frigate. Our Intel suggests that there is some light ground and air defences stationed within the mountain range" Eisa continued, before pursing her lips in thought, as her gaze focused in on one of the displays.

"Weather is looking a bit choppy, and possibly low visibility. Keep your eyes pealed, take your time and don't rush into any fancy maneuvers. We don't want to be having you face plant a rocky outcrop hidden by the clouds.... .” The figure continued as she leaned against the command terminal. "if the ground defences are heavier than expected. Relay the targetting information to the frigates so they can soften them up. We have plenty of turbo laser focusing cells, but only two of you..."

Crossing her arms and with a warm reassuring smile over her pale features, the ashen haired Jedi master took a step back away from the console and looking directly into the camera. “Fly safe you two, and remember, you've got heavy fire support covering you, just tell them where to shoot” Eisa added before the encrypted transmission cut away.

The helmet fit a bit awkwardly, and Kye had to constantly fight the urge to adjust it. He'd need to get them to actually craft a new helmet after this assignment, instead of just modifying an existing one. Either way, he wore the Star Squadron colors with pride.

Kye was flying on Star Six's wing and they were clearing the atmosphere when Master Swan started her message. Listening intently, Kye's excitement grew with every word. As the transmission ended Kye gave a two-fingered salute before switching over to his comm with Star Six.

"Shtar Shix I'm on your wing. Let'sh take care of theshe bunkersh quickly."

Ash was excited to get to work on this mission, mostly because it was going to challange her. The weather was just what she needed to get back into the groove of her force senses, and it made a great deal of sense that she was selected for this task, after all she had a better chance to feel her way through the fog than most of the other pilots. She was rather looking forward to this, perfect flying weather and all. Kye's voice came over the comms, as Ash relaxed back into her chair, opening herself up to the force, as she got a read on the world below.

She pulled back on her speed, aligning herself with Star Twelve's backside as well as putting space between the two. "Roger Star Twelve. I'll get that sensor up and running, just try to make me look good." She mused, turning on the sensory equipment she had added to her ship. "Targets are coming into range, setting up the link for the boys upstairs. Stand by." Without looking, Ash secured the transmission between her ship and the frigates, now all she had to do was press the send switch once the data was up and running, then they could watch the show. "We are good for the run Star Twelve. Clentch up, this is going to be fun." Ash let her body relax, as she centered on herself and pushed outwards, encapsulating herself and her wingman, then pressing further to unravel the mists in was that a flight computer could only dream of doing. The laser show was about to begin, and they had a front row seat.

Kye maneuvered his craft to be to the right, and slightly below Star Six. He looked down at his sensors as they quickly closed on the target area. Kye had no idea how much resistance they would muster, but there would be resistance.

As they closed... it was bad. Immediately laser fire poured from the ground in their direction.

"Shtar Shix, pull up! Major resistance at the first bunker!" Going into a barrel roll Kye would need to clear the resistance. Several defense fighters took off to engage Star Squadron

Ash's laughter would echo through the comms, as she could sense the resistance they were flying into. "Star Elven, you got a read on this? We got incoming!" Her tone was far to cheery for the situation they were in. Ash turned on her sensor, pack, ignoring her wing mates call for her to pull back.

She was going for it baby, a little bit of laser fire wasn't going to stop her. With the force af her copilot, the jedi knight leaned down on the stick, flying as if she was about to commence an attack run, she pulled herself back up and straightened out. Her senses heightened, as she was taking in info, processing it, and reacting to it at break neck speed. Her fighter weaved in and out of laser shots, rolling out of the way of one particularly suicidal fighter, as her sensor got a quick reading over the bunkers, at which she went into a barrel roll, narrowly avoiding a salvo of turret fire, as she rejoined her ally in above. Though there was little time to celebrate. Ash had avoided most of the fire from the fighters, but she didn't destroy them.

"Look alive Star Eleven, we got some boogies making a pass our 12'0 clock." She redirected her deflector shield power to the rear of her ship. They weren't out of the woods yet.
