((OOC: In joining this fight, you agree to a single burn from the winner's lightsaber into your character's skin that will carry over to 'The Story'. A scar shall be awarded to the loser to sow failure into the flesh, remembered for a lifetime.))

((Lightsaber/Powers))

Libertine tugged out the shoulder line of his suit, sweeping off the wrinkles with a swishing of the wrist; standing feet together, propped up straight in his arrogant manner. This human sees no arrogance within, rather a high standard for himself to uphold at every moment; never to cease his engaging mind and body. His alternate hand rest, folded behind, at the small of his back; ready to duel, coming that much closer to his understanding of Makashi.

The dark circular room, held by the curved statues of tortured men - never to achieve their escape from the pillars they were originally chiseled. A red candle light surrounds the pillars, a main circle at their center. The statues but twenty feet apart in spacing, a five foot path outlines the walls behind each pillar. Chains dangle from the ceiling, looped somewhat tightly through bearings every foot.

The doors opened, and the beast was released. Into the arena, it strode, a mountain of rage and power. It's head swung back and forth, eyes, filled with hate, scanning the arena like the predator it was.

The beast, Asan Vahin, Crusader, locked eyes with his opponent. He drew the staff, his weapon, igniting three blades of red, wrathful energy in the cross staff.

''Ready?'' He growled, heavily accented basic gurgling from his lips.

"Hmm", Libertine tilted his head in interest. What a creature? So opposite of himself, yet to be respected as despised in the like. But distant... this line of thought should be reserved for another time.

Libertine accurately and precisely whipped out a swirl of his silver hilt to sharply ignite a red beam down into the floor like a rocketing slug firing out in sustaining light. Lifting a twitch of the tip in a flick of his saber, the strong laser lifted away from the mark it had left in the ground; though still hovering inches above it.

Beginning to encircle his opponent, Libertine kept a profile to the animal; stepping left. ". . .anything, and everything." The newly appointed Crusader wished for a challenge, as the clench of his free fist crunched crooked the shut door's track alignment. Despising his own weakness wasn't enough. He'd have to vanquish it, no matter how many times he must face battle's bitter defeat for a greater prize in overall victory.

Vahin grinned. It was not a pleasant expression, it was one filled with malice, promising pain for those it was turned upon.

He hefted his weapon, throwing odd shadows across his face, to waist height, tilting slightly up, blades horizontal, thrusting it forward at his enemy's throat.

Easily batting away the thrust, from an underneath swat (up and out), Libertine stepped one foot back in keeping proper distance. Immediately after backhanding the blades away, Libertine's flexible wrist sliced a diagonal down through his opponent's chest; though he would swirl the blade down and around for a quick parry in anticipating counter as he kept his feet light in movement. The human's face mask would give nothing away, as his calm demeanor would hold in flexed posture with pressed shoulders and refined agility. He was as a blank manikin, writing cursive letters through his fluid motions.

Although to a casual observer, he would seem it, Vahin was not a mindless brute. As his opponent knocked his weapon aside, he brought the butt around, moving it in the horizontal plane as it blocked the enemy lightsabre.

His back foot swept around, causing him to be side-on to his opponent, and he ignited the fourth blade, in the butt of the weapon, creating the full form of the cross-sabre. A surprise attack, this method was often very potent, and had dispatched many foes who relied on hubris.

As his saber was blocked dead center between the two, he had but to cross his hand over with a vertical saber block to the horizontal sweep; stepping out and away with a horizontal sweep of his own that had bounced off of his opponent's strength in attack. His footwork carried him away to keep his saber out in front of himself, and a swirling nature of his saber after the single small slash.

A quick little weasel, this one, Asan thought as he charged forward again, sweeping the cross head again, following with a heavy and purposeful jab with the butt end when the cross reached the termination of its parabolic route.

Though he made it look easy, Libertine barely caught that last ricochet of a block into swing; and all it managed was to keep some temporary distance. Though this time, he saw what was coming.

Beginning his turn into his right shoulder (counterclockwise), Libertine scooped a single handed slice that looped down and up to his left as his saber crossed over his body. The swoop came up and into Asan's first step of attack, guiding the trident looking end over Libertine's head. As he accelerated into his spin further, the masked human avoided the jab entirely; coming around at the center of the weapon, Libertine took hold of an area presented - pushing the weapon slightly down and away (just out of the way), Libertine came up with a diagonal slash straight through the beast's torso (left hip to right shoulder). He may not be stronger than this foe, but his quickness would allow for some leeway as he simply deviated the jab off course in forward motion; feeling no desire to keep his hand attached to the weapon, should his opponent desire it back. As long as Libertine kept about his own center, he felt confident in taking this one on!

Asan hurriedly pulled back, necessity causing him to draw on the force. Even so, he felt the blade score against his chest.

He grunted at the pain, but did not stop.

He raised the blade over his head, while he turned so his left shoulder faced Libertine. He disnegaged the base blade, swinging the weapon down, and, as he did so, letting it slide forward in his hands so that he could take advantage of his longer reach. Using force-assisted strength, he then let go with his rear hand, pushing the cross forward with his left arm.

No time to react, nor strength to rebuttal such an attack, Libertine dashed to sidestep left as his already lifted blade would guide the hammer's stroke down and into the ground beside him.

Having but one option before him, he could not let this moment of defense subdue his momentum, and so would further destabilize his opponent's desperation. As Libertine turned on a pivot with the momentum of his opponent's stroke, he'd blast a force push with his free hand in bellowing into the floor beneath them both; thus rocketing their feet out from under them. Yet as he did so, while the beast's blade came down to cut into the floor, he'd utilize his gifts of levitation to his advantage as he would lift from the floor unharmed and unmoved but feet from ground level. Capable of holding his position, raising higher, guiding a slow decent, or launching a number of force attacks or lightsaber attacks; Libertine was set to react to his opponent's inability to alter strike's course or foresee such a destabilizing attack with planted feet in set motion. And Libertine's act of levitation would allow the blast of force to flow right underneath and past his position, while Asan's lowering act in two handed guillotine sent him straight into the force of Libertine's blast.
