Ledo's death echoed through the force, as it always did when someone powerful fell. They were triumphant. The thunder rumbled a victory hymn, singing at the top of its voice for a few beautiful seconds as the Destroyer revelled in the kill. He didn't know quite which of the two of them could claim the final deed but it was irrelevant: They had come here to kill, and kill they had. It seemed fitting that Ledo should die trapped under the products of destruction, under the obliterated remains of such a mighty structure brought low by his insidious touch.

His blades returned to their sheaths, thirsty for blood. They would have to go without for now... What a pity there had been no actual combat. His smile returned, good mood returning. He had been close to raging at Ledo, but then the fool had gone and died. What a lack of commitment. What a lack of survival.

He turned, taking the stairs instead of the hurtling descent that Ledo had chosen for himself. They were boring, colourless and mundane. When he reached the bottom he sighed as if in relief. Being around things which didn't pulsate with the same majesty as he did made him ill, he didn't like it.

Wandering over the dusty mound of collapsed rubble that marked Ledo's tomb, Shade called for Belial. He was here to spirit the Pseudon away, and Shade wanted to watch.

On Elom, in a nameless tomb of a city, a God began to laugh. And laugh and laugh and laugh...
