On this earth,

Seriously, there was a group of twenty who came into my work today and they were all so nice.

It's like there Americans without the...Ya know....

Add that to the other 3 Canadians I know in person who are all lovely.

This world is not good enough for you fine people.

And too the Canadians on here, well I don't think you are Canadians because your not nice enough so Sin, Nexus and Viggy must be Australians or Yanks or some other rude nationality. :CStern:

ironically not long ago Expedia Put out a survey for the best tourists in the world:

here are a few links with some of the various reasons behind the findings

http://www.eturbonews.com/2829/japanese-travelers-top-list-expedias-best-tou

or

[FONT=arial, helvetica]American Tourists Score High and Low
Americans lead the way with putting effort into learning a few key sayings in the local language and sampling local delicacies. The French, Chinese and Japanese were the least likely to incorporate the local language, and the Chinese, Indians and Japanese have the least interest in the culinary styles of the places they visit. Americans are also considered the most generous, followed by the Canadians and Russians.

In contrast to American generosity and willingness to absorb local culture, they are considered to be noisy tourists, along with the Italians and British. Additionally, Americans are said to complain about accommodations, along with the Germans and French -- and are also among the least tidy hotel guests. Lastly, Americans fall to the bottom of the list when it comes to fashion sense, with the ever stylish Italians and French taking top sartorial prize.

the list is:

Japanese as number one? I guess it kind of makes sense...only thing I have to say is that when you hear a tour guide speaking in Japanese you better shut your eyes really quick because otherwise your gonna get a seizure from all the camera flashes.

<---- is a nice and friendly tourist and American

The kind of tourists you get kinda depend on where they are going. Keep that in mind ;)

lol.

Anytime I've gone abroad and I tell someone I'm Irish it's usually met with smiles and polite comments. I thought everyone liked us.

19? Shameful.

:CStern:

You're right. Get your shillelagh and start wailing on the guys who rated the Irish badly...

British are by far the most loud and obnoxious kind of tourists out there.

Though There is one mark against Japan that was mentioned, and that's that they rarely ever tip... and that's simply because you don't tip in Japan.

I have no clue how I'm seen as a tourist. I personally tend to like to blend in as best I can, and avoid tourist hot spots.

Don't be messing with ma Commonwealth.

I had three Canadian backpackers come to my door selling paintings the other day, they seemed nice enough.

The same is true for French tourists.

Every country should cater to me when I visit them. That means adopting my customs and traditions while I'm there, speaking my language, and having my same type of world view. Anything less than that is completely unacceptable.

Hmm, I've never traveled, so I wouldn't know. According to this I'd be pretty decent though (Canadian).

Ok then you do that. Just a little tip, don't eat anything you didn't prepare yourself while on holiday. Faecial Coliforms are a b@#$h!

14. New Zealanders
How the heck are we 14th!?! And below America & Australians as well!?! The survey is obviously rigged.

New Zealanders are one of the most travelled people in the World. The OE (Oversea's Experience) is basicly the NZ coming of age and can last from 6 months to 6 years!

I've always loved SWRP New Zealand topics. They amuse me, and not just because "Zealand" isn't recognized as a word by spell check.

I assure you that I am Canadian, and yes, for the most part, we're nice and well mannered, it really depends on the person.

But, did you know that all Canadians have a special non-assh*le chip implanted into us at birth? Yes, when we enter any country either than our own, the chip recognizes the Earth's magnetic field and we work as a group to be as nice as possible. That's why we say 'eh' most of the time, the vocalization is really a tuning device for the chip to see if it's working.
