Another change is that Character Plots are no longer going to be accepted - it is our hope that everyone will start having threads for the sake of their own story, rather than planning out how to interact and how to thread in order for it to fit a plot.

We have also become very aware that Character Plots have become increasingly abused, with very vague goals being stated so that as many threads as possible can be considered part of the same plot.

From now on, the only plot types that will be allowed are the following;

• Espionage Plots
• Tech Plots
• Faction Plots
  • Independent Factions will have their own area within Faction Plots where they can submit plots for significant faction assets and directions.
    • Plots for personal assets can also go here so if your character wants a shop or a bar (for example) then it is submitted here

So Nef, in this case, how will accumulation of personal gain be measured or justified? Such as learning a new force power or obtaining an artifact, etc.. Would all those fall under Faction Plots or would they just require a series of Threads that are then submitted retroactively for approval of the power/item/etc..?

Through threads - you no longer need to plot to learn it, just factor the learning into your story

Obtaining an artifact with a lore write up (or that needs a lore write up) would be answered within the last bullet point as the examples were not exhaustive;

• Plots for personal assets can also go here so if your character wants a shop or a bar (for example) then it is submitted here

Holocrons and the like that are just generic can just be found in story (i.e in threads without need to plot).

It's going to be changed going forward but you submitted it fine by the previous rules so you're alright

No making a plot that's clearly 98% a character plot and just so happening to grab something tech on the way out. The tech should be the focus but you are encouraged to weave a story into it to make it less like a check list plot

So long as you don't take the mick and learn advanced techniques in one thread where you just half stare at a book while talking to someone that should be fine - lore write ups for techniques will be being re-written and so long as you can prove you actually put effort into learning it should be fine so long as you follow the lore

No learning Force Drain, for example, without having experienced it being used on you first

If your plot was approved before the rule change, it will not be held to the new submission rules

If it's a retro plot then it will be

Well if you want to advance them by adding personal assets then that would be covered by the point about personal assets - if you want to advance them by advancing the cause of your faction and hogging the credit so everyone knows it's your character who made it possible? Regular faction plot

Good changes. If I have a Faction plot approved and there are a lot of Dice Threads in the submission, could I go back to the Plot submission and annotate a change in a couple to fit the new plot rules (Self-DM)?

It will have to be reviewed again - I'm never going to give a blanket answer to something like that - but it is a possibility yes, though it would likely include the other changes as well

So if your approved plot is 10 threads long and you make changes to it that means it needs reviewing again, every part of it will may well be reviewed again
