Standing, pulling back the red beam from inside an open maw with a tossing of spattering blood and sweat, Ledo turned to face his student. Young and on the move, Karasym followed with great obedience; and so Ledo would follow with lesson in mind. Yet as he began following, his presence would vanish to Karasym; leaving but the voice of dark guidance.

Echoing in mind, Ledo's voice would sound with reason as they moved through the forest. "Feel all that there is around you, as you have felt the ship in its distance." As they traveled, there would be plenty of time for Ledo to impart this bit of teaching. No time would be wasted, as the Darkside became Karasym's ally. "Now retract that distance! Condense your surroundings inwards to feel its effects upon your skin!" Ledo would have him feel the darkness within, and cover and coat himself within it's obscuring shadow. True learning of such Force techniques would always show the stronger when learned doing two things at once. Ledo would both have his student learn two things at once, as well as physically perform two things at once; as they both ran through the forest and tampered with powers of learning lesson. "Yet reject its effects, and feel your own dark ambitions explode from within the deepest places of your hatred! Expel the cold of the wind and the heat of the sun! Remove its distance from your senses! At the same time, conceal yourself from its effects! Contract your raging anger as you would breath, in and out, to reduce your detecting presence!"

Ledo began instilling the effects of two separate techniques, yet had no time to waste embellishing upon. First he gave instruction to controlling his body's temperature and willingness to endure it; as Tapas. And then, he forced further trial of reducing one's presence in the Force; as Force Concealment.

Karasym would not truly feel understanding control over these techniques until utilizing them against live enemies, which Ledo would soon have remedy as they soon came across a not so abandoned Republic outpost.

Stealth was to be learned to his advantage, yet not utilized in killing his targets; so Ledo would demonstrate to Karasym. As they came to see the layout of the outpost, a single guard would patrol this side of a large chemical infused metal cylinder. Ledo appeared before the startled guard, who then lifted his gun most effectively. In but a second's time, Ledo gave instruction to his student through example by speaking to the guard. "You are lacking in eyesight...", nearly whispering, Ledo spoke plainly to the guard who's finger had already squeezed the trigger; yet after the barrel had lifted to aim and before a round could be let loose, Ledo's image glitched to the right in a speed of Force as his lightsaber both emerged and retracted and cut the man's throat. Not fully severing the head, the body fell to the propping of his knees and Ledo concluded: "You have developed a stigmatism in your left eye... it is genetic." The body fell fully and splattered onto the ground, just as Ledo stepped to the side to face his watching student. Ledo wished for Karasym to do the same, just as he had done: to search each victim for a fault, reveal himself physically to the victim, make voice of that fault, and end the victim for it. No exception. Ledo would the rest of the grounds to his learning child, to see the ways in which Ledo's student would conduct himself once set out against targets: to present themselves face to face, inform the target of its faults, and end them for it!

Ledo would not involve himself further, but to keep the grounds quiet for unending training. Karasym must continuously prove himself, and if that meant not giving himself to aim of his back so be it. Ledo would allow his death and move on. Only the strongest would survive in his use, and so Ledo would stay in concealment; only moving to silence those who would disturb his student's training.

Karasym watched as Ledo ended the dutiful gaurd; a puppet of the Republic's will, just like the Jedi. He had no sympathy for them, for their deaths would be Karasym's way of forgiving them for their faults. Once they passed to the netherworld of the force, they would feel the rushing emotion from Karasym's mercy, and a chance to live a peaceful afterlife. But in the physical world, his wrath must endure. Even if he wasn't as powerful as his mighty 'Father,' he would constantly prove himself, constantly grow stronger, and eventually master death itself. He would become Death incarnate. He would let the galaxy know there would be no hope for them. As one life begins, another must end. It was the way of the universe, the true way of the force.

Karasym gathered the force inside him and fused it with his anger, expressing the lesson Ledo taught him. He gained slight control over his raging hate. Finally, he repressed his identity in the force, making him seem like any ordinary civilian, for he felt another presence of a Jedi among the republic rabble. This Jedi would meet their end here. He moved as quickly as Ledo displayed, making himself a shadow in the daylight.

His first target was near, and it would be his hardest one yet. She was a young female, but not the only female there. There were in fact two others, the jedi being one. Karasym stood in front of the girl, who jumped back in surprise. As fast as he appeared, he whispered to himself that she had a muscle problem in her right arm. Due to this fact, her rifle raised slower than the previous gaurd Ledo killed. "You have a bad arm," he said. She fired a few shots into the air, as Karasym sidestepped as quickly as he appeared, and slit her throat with one lightsaber just as fast and withdrew his lightsaber. She fell to the ground, writhed in pain as she couldn't make any sounds, and then died. "Your death was a noble one, little girl," he said.

He did the same for the rest of the gaurds, appearing like a ghost face-to-face, pointing out their faults, and killing them in the same manner. They all laid motionless on the ground, lifeless bodies. When he finished, he used the force to throw their bodies in the woods, further concealing his and Ledo's presence. It was time for the Jedi to meet her end.

Karasym found the room where the Jedi meditated and opened the door with one quick motion. He was slightly surprised, but didn't show it. The Jedi was a friend of his; Layla Nara. She had become a knight just before he left. No doubt she was sent there to meet him, as the consulars would have been scrying his own future to see where he would appear next. The girl stood and looked at him and Ledo, then shook her head.

"I am disappointed in you, Karasym. I won't let you go down this path," she said.

"Your fault is that you're arrogant, and this will be your downfall," Karasym said, pointing out her flaw as he did with the others. He would treat her the same way; granting her mercy in the afterlife, but being her death in this life. He drew his lightsabers just as she did, assuming his battle stance.

Ledo stood there, reveling in the darkness that showed truth to these insects; but stepping stones to Karasym's advancement. And so, this was but another stepping stone; yet one with meaning to Ledo, if not to Karasym. This was Karasym's pledge, his oath taken physical form. This was his initiation into Ledo's name. For whenever Karasym now kills, it shall be in Ledo's name; the Animus Manifesto!

Ledo releaved his bald head of the hood, none left to know of his face within the base but drifting souls and this one. Yet, this Jedi was doomed, whether to die by Karasym's hand or Ledo's... she would die. Ledo would not interfere in the slightest however, and so his figure was but an illusion; keeping himself out of range and staying out of the way. Not the girl nor his student would bump in to him nor see his true face until the end. Yet still keeping appearances, neither would know this to be true; as Ledo keeps much to himself in these crucial times of training, and so would appear to be standing near the entrance with folded arms and a plastic smile. At first, he would analyse the girl's style as he would his own student's. Ledo would learn from his pupil's range of movement before judging the outcome for himself, as he was so talented in doing; the duel playing out in his head before such acts of fate could reach his gaze...

"You're weak, Karasym. Weak for the exile, weak for power, weak for the dark side of the force," Layla said to her death, flipping a strand of brown hair out of her face. Karasym did his best to hold back his raging anger. Black sparks of lightning, signature to his heart, flew from his hand. He didn't know why she hid the fear from her face, but Karasym could feel it. She knew he had already become much stronger than her within only a short training period. He knew power she could only dream of, and he would exact his revenge on all who betrayed him.

"Your words decieve you," Karasym said as he lunged at Layla, utilizing the force speed his master taught him, the same speed he used to kill his previous targets. As he thought, it was faster than what she expected. She blocked his attack, but only through luck and slight guidance through the force. Thus engaging the duel.

Karasym first swung diagonally, from her left hip to her right shoulder, should it have made contact. She blocked it, taking the bait he set. He then switched his othe saber to reverse grip and sliced at her foot. She grabbed his hand, which was what he had hoped for. Once her hand made physical contact, he unleashed a powerful surge of lightning into her body. It was an unfair advantage he had, but it was one he used. As an assassin, the target was always left the unlucky one.

She stumbled backwards, but stood up quickly. She charged at him this time, attempting to stab him through the heart. He sidestepped and cut the blade with one clean motion. It was clear his adversary was not ready to be named a knight, and was not worthy of a duel with him. He walked further away from her as she fell to her knees in defeat. He would ask her a simple question, one which did not determine the outcome of this meeting, but one simply to answer Karasym's curiosity.

"Why did you come to stop me?" He asked. "If you knew through the force that I would kill you? Did you hope that it was your heart telling you otherwise?"

"...I had hoped that", a single tear streamed down her face as she bit her lip in hiding of her true answer. It was obviously difficult to answer honestly, yet it ate at her as she withheld the truth from open air. "...you would see the light!" The last word seemed of a possessed version of herself, flaming in anger. It was clear to see her jealousy bubbling into the "light" she so claimed.

She swung out with an empty arm, but to thrash as a cornered animal. No particular aim in attack shown, as her true colors did. She was falling to the darkside, but would not admit it; and it was eating her through. Her brown hair hung over her face as she sat there on her knees in wallowing dissension. And then she broke!

Her desperation was evident, and now she would extend herself as far as she could go. Leading with a force push, she'd shoot up to a quick two steps into a slide that swept a kick through Karasym's heels. The push was only enough to distract, as by the time she had released it she should have already been sweeping her leg.

"...light!" in that word, Karasym heard the empty echo of its meaning. She was falling, and falling fast. Karasym harrumphed. He felt that her rage was too uncontrollable. As she dashed towards him in a desparate rage, Karasym turned around quickly and held her midair before she could slide any further. She was not being choked, but merely suspended in a move in which he utilized both a puch and pull. Telekenesis was such an easy thing to manipulate.

"Layla... You must suffer my wrath for leaving Shauna to fend for herself against the consulars. Don't be afraid of death, don't fear me, for your afterlife will be filled with my mercy. But now... Now, your time has come," he said. He unleashed the full fury of his black lightning into her, listening as she screamed in pain and begged for mercy. He ignored her plights, and simply amplified his strength. He would make her suffer, for all Jedi he met would perish, unless he was able to train their anger the way his was. Her anger was wild, and her emotions were uncontrollable. He himself even displayed more control. She was a wildfire he needed to put out. And when he was satisfied that she had suffered enough, and had breathe for her last words, he ceased his black storm and let her fall to the ground.

"What are your dying words, child? What would you say before you begin your glorious afterlife?" He said, getting closer to her charred face. Her eyes were red on the iris', and yellow on the whites. Blood streamed from her eyes instead of tears. Her hair was black instead of brown. It was to his surprise her hair wasn't charred off.

Pools of red gathered in each black dip of her face, funneling through the torn and crisp peels of her skin. Her lips moved, but no sounds could be heard. She hated him, just as she envied his power. Why could he succeed when she failed? She could not come to grips with the reasons. Even now her shaking arms attempted to grip his throat, but had yet to even lift more than a few inches off the ground. She drooled in the struggle, unable to use all of her muscles.

Finally she sputtered out a word, "...Kill...", and as the bloodied saliva gushed out between her teeth, but a breath could be discerned in the form of the word 'you'. She was somehow still alive, possibly only clinging to her hatred through the Darkside; to melt away once her physical could no longer process her mental thoughts.

"Let this hatred be your known legacy as you pass to peace," Karasym said. He stood and drew a lightsaber, aimed it down at her heart, and thrusted it downwards with full force. It sliced through he seered flesh as if it were a laser shot through a piece paper. She grunted at the pain of the burning blade of light as it melted her organic heart until it was nothing. She then drew her last breath.

"May your afterlife serve you better," he said. He had no regret, no remorse at killing her. If she wanted to share the power he had, she should have left with him, but the deciet of the Jedi was too deeply embedded. Her rage was too much for her as well. She lacked the strength to wield her emotions, in which they would have moved her body against her will. She would have died in the future anyways.

Karasym faced the exit and sat down with his legs crossed. He closed his eyes and allowed his spirit to communicate to the force. Through his meditation, he pleaded successfully for an easy passing to his victims. He would not lie as the Jedi did; his prey would recieve a better life through the force. He could feel the power and energy flow through his body, levitating him off the ground only a few inches, as he always had when he meditated as a Jedi. The consulars taught him that refraining from any physical contact with the world would better his concentration. If there was one thing they got right, it was that. But none-the-less, nothing the Jedi could do would qualm his undying hatred for them. He waited for his master to reappear.

A billowing of red and blackness surrounded Karasym, spilling out from a hollowed presence before him. The room was a comforting melting pot of humidity in emoting power. Ledo sought to amplify his pupil's aftermath in the Darkside as he greeted him again. His features behind heavy robes formed just as those from his projection dissipated until he stood there fully as his Master.

His lips did not move, as thought began a bleeding into spoken word. "You have done well, my child. ...Come, we will find our new vessel unguarded and keep the flowing current of momentum in our favor."

Ledo's words were continuous in lesson, teaching not words of wisdom - but words of exact specificity. Ledo only taught his pupil's exactly how he wished them to behave while out on their own. He would expect them to face their targets, greet them with truth and scrutiny, offer them a willing suicide or the death of their blade's absolution, and begin motion to repeat for their next target elsewhere. Ledo's student's would move as Ledo did, in constant aggression. And now they would move to avoid unnecessary attention and continue advancement.

Karasym stood and followed his master through the confines and tunnels of the deep republic base, all the while disrupting their security feeds. When they reached the docking bay, he would hack into their security networks and erase the security holograms from their files, and the data of the ship so it couldn't be tracked. It was all childsplay to Karasym.

When they reached the entrance to the docking bay, which Karasym could feel due to the lightly humming engines in the other room, two turrets dropped from the cealing and aimed at them both. Karasym reached out and squeezed his hands into fists, cruching the turrets through the force before they could shoot. He concentrated to see if there were anymore turrets in the bay, but he could feel none. In any case, someone was either preparing for their arrival, or preparing to leave anyways. Karasym had a feeling they knew they were there.

He opened the door using the force and went straight into the comm tower and hacked into their networks. Within a few seconds, he found the security feeds and erased them from the databanks. But when he went to search for the red-and-yellow striped ship sitting outside the window, it wasn't there. He then realized it was a Jedi ship; it was Layla's. He supposed it was somehow connected to the data files on Ossuss. He ran to the ship and checked it's network links until he traced it back to the temple, just as he thought. With simple motions, as he had done before with his first ship, he erased it's data and made it his own, renaiming it the "Red Pheonyx." He would appear as a bounty hunter to the galaxy, but would make sure his ship was feared by all. It would mean death to those it followed. Karasym smiled in subtle pride.

Ledo watched with a certain satisfaction. He could see that this one would go far. How far, Ledo did not care to ponder; as death swarmed all of his children, as if marked by his own hand. Yet with Karasym's ferocity, as well as meticulous attention to detail, he would find himself avoiding much of the weaknesses befallen those dead before his time. Ledo had seen many of his congregation fizzle and die out before their time, yet pushed to face their wall and self darkness to harness the rage of their own hate; some lacked the strength to wield it. Karasym showed a promising darkness.

Half following Karasym, Ledo understood each action of deterrent and secrecy and let his pupil carry out the deeds. Ledo slowly made his way towards Karasym's new ship, to be carried off to the junction of his next direction and journey.

Once aboard, Ledo would seem distant and allowing; having Karasym move with more responsibility and range of motion devoid of Ledo's crushing weight over his shoulder. The ship would depart at Karasym's hands, though to Ledo's desires. Brooding and bubbling in the aftermath of their wake, Ledo would have his 'child' in the darkness let flow the empowering RAGE of all that they had done as stepping stone to greater heights.

Karasym was now of Ledo in every form, and was to begin carrying out his will to dying breath.

...emotion is war
...knowledge craves conflict
...passion gives purpose
...harmony holds no sway
...life through death

...DEATH IS THE ONLY OUTCOME!
