Of course I do. I'm a mandalorian. Anyone who does not find my argument both witty and insightful may find themselves sitting on a few hundred kilos of detonite.
In other news, I had a tiny idea I wanted to roll around with other clan leaders, but skype is being a pain in the ass. I'll keep y'all updated when there's something solid to update y'all on.
I'm going to set up a Skype group for all of us to talk about the future of the Fetts and the Mandos.
Y'all should add me. It's henrikstromblad1 if memory serves me right. Or you can add me via this site. Y'all will figure it out. Just mention when adding me who you are so I have some idea. :D
I don't have Skype access on my Chromebook (as stated as a possible problem in the Hutt subgroup), however, I think there are ways around it? Bee linked something that might work. Its browser-based. Anyways, as of right now, I'm at my sisters, so I probably won't be very active today.
If anyone can send me a log of the discussions via PM that would be great. I don't wanna be excluded cuz I have a derpy, poor excuse for a computer. I wanna contribute!
Oh, and Liv, on a slightly related note, I was thinking of doing a small write up concerning the Zhenxing Fetts. I was wondering what your thoughts were on that and if I should send you a copy once its done. Thanks to Saul's encouragement the city of Changsha that takes place in Avoiding Capture was officially recognized as was a brief overview of the Yu Fetts. It could prove interesting to have a write concerning the Fett's Yu cousins. And, they could add some perspective on their difference of philosophy/spirituality?
Sounds good, dude. Hit me up when you have a writeup. :D
Also, probably won't do any actual discussion for a few days yet, as I'm off on my honeymoon tomorrow. :O But I'll keep you updated via PM when the time comes. :D
Welcome back, my man. I haven't exactly been overly active either, so it's all good.
More importantly, we have a job coming up. Tomorrow I'm going to post in Avoiding Capture, and I owe y'all an apology for being so exceedingly slow with that. I'm dealing with a ton of stuff around the immigration, and other IRL stuff, but I should've still gotten around to it earlier.
Also, the job coming up, though the details are still unclear, will involve digging up some intelligence on the whereabouts of a friend of the clan, namely the legendary Sisk Renelo. I need a volunteer to accompany Verus on that. First comes, first served, yes?
I've had this sneaking feeling for a long time now, because of many things, among others my own inactivity, and because of the way things are going, OOCly and ICly with the Mandos, that something needs to change with this faction. So far I couldn't figure out what, but then I took a look at history that is very interesting to me, namely South African post-apartheid history. Specifically revolving around the genuinely badass 32 Battalion. After the fall of Apartheid, the entire unit was dissolved. Most of its inhabitants moved to the South African town of Pomfret, where they retired. Many became mercenaries, and many joined the world's supposedly first private military company, Executive Outcomes.
I applied this to the Mandalorians.
In a way, Clan Fett retired from the Mandalorian factions to Nym City on Lok, albeit to rebuild our strength. Lately, however, with the admins' somewhat unfair (imho) stand on Mandalorian expansion, it became clear that as a Mandalorian clan, no clan really has any future. Kind of like the 32 Battalion had no future. They chose retirement for the most part.
Mandalorians would choose war.
Clan Fett will be dissolved ICly, and Verus Fett will go, and take with him all of the clan who wants to come. He will abandon his Mandalorian lifestyle (although not the beliefs or the code - only the loyalties, the name, and all that come with that) and create a private military company styled after the Metal Gear Solid-verse Militaires Sans Frontieres, known as Hellfire Solutions. It will be a cross between MSF, the Foreign Legion, and the 32 Battalion, and it will be a very, very professional, and very very deadly unit.
Details will come with an IC announcement thread I will put up after I've given y'all some ample time to react to this news. But I believe this will be the best course of action for the clan and its members, not just from an OOC expansionist aspect, but more importantly from an activity aspect (more opportunities for roleplay with other factions) and an IC aspect (more opportunities to make lots of money and fight lots of war for the characters).
Be advised, however, that while the clan may fall into the annals of history, my and Verus' promise to the Renelos still stand. It'll be the last act of Clan Fett, or the first act of Hellfire Solutions. Whichever comes first.
