This is my experiment to see who, besides me, can appreciate music of the classical, baroque, and romantic inclination. Please list one of your favorites, and you get extra brownie points if you post a link.

Here are some of mine:
One of my favorite baroque ensambles:
Russlan and Ludmilla I'm actually working on this now.

One of my favorite classical ensambles:
Pachabel's Canon Play it for a kid, he falls asleep in ten seconds flat.

One of my favorite romantic solos:
Elegie Da bomb.

The Classic Greats, and Williams, Hanz Zimmer, but I enjoy Kodály the most. Anything with a cello is beautiful.

Hard to miss with Beethoven.

Was the included score your father's? It's very good. My grandfather has a lot up, but it's not on Youtube.

Cello is the master race of stringed instruments. See Elegie of my first post. You will be made happy.

I love classical and this falls into the category of music but not the time period. His name is Giles Apap and he's playing a variation of Mozarts 3rd the 3rd movement. What he has done is take a classical piece and fit it to different music genre's then brought it back to the classical piece all in one movement. Enjoy:

Lol, that's one hell of a cadenza.

It's like a cadenza on steroids... Yeah.

It's certainly not mainstream, but entertaining still... You gotta love American folk music. Unless if you're not American.

Here's some Russian music by Shastakovitch. This is actually a political statement in music, with parts representing Stalin, the oppressed Russians, etc, etc. And it's for the cello. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAS1exdlqLM
