"I understand. No one is proud of their mistakes, even if they're mistakes in their own eyes. But you can't change it now. It's only best to let it go, or, take those emotions it gives you and convert it into anger. Remember how he used you, what he wanted from you. Take that, change it to anger, and focus it into energy which is released once it becomes to great for your body," Lane said. He closed his eyes, remembering how the Jedi treated him and how bad he felt. How they put him down. he let it anger him, then he focused his energy and gained control. He then turned, and, as if on que, a target dropped down and hovered in the air. Lane released the energy into his lightning, completely destroying the target with nothing left for its memory. This however, was only a weak form of what he could do with lightning.

Saeryl watched him destroy the target, then slowly nodded. She closed her eyes and concentrated on the anger she felt, bringing it to the front of her thoughts. Her hands clenched tighter the more she thought about it, and she could feel the Force coursing through her body. She grit her teeth as her anger continued growing until she finally could no longer hold hack the Force. She didn't know how to bring a target down, so she just turned a thrust both hands out, letting out an audible angry growl as blue lightning exploded from her hands and into the wall in front of her.

She breathed heavily as the lightning stopped shortly after it had started, looking down at her hands, palms up. She considered them quietly for a few moments, then turned her head to look back at Lane to speak quietly.

"If I have to feel like that every time I want to use this power, I'm not sure it's worth it."

"Then don't unless it's absolutely necessary. This power isn't a requirement for all in the Luminado to use, just for them all to know. Your specification, however, you are required to use the force disguise power I taught you many weeks ago," he said with a chuckle. "But as for today, I do want you to get a feel for this power. When you've use it a couple times, it's no longer having to feel like that, but focusing your emotion and refining it into that energy so that you vent your anger on your opponent, while disabling him in some way. So, try it again, and aim at the target," Lane said. He stood back and kept on the ready in case she missed and hit something else.

"I have no problem with the disguising power - I actually think that one could be a lot of fun."

She winked at him, then looked over at the target. Well, it gave her something to aim at at least. She closed her eyes and again brought her anger to the forefront, concentrating on it. She felt it course through her body asit had before, filling her with its energy. She let it build up until she could barely contain it, then opened her eyes and thrust out a hand, lightning arcing from it to blast into the target - she hit it near the the side, some of the Force lightning arcing past to again hit the far wall. She would have to work on her aim if she meant to use this power more.

"Who doesn't have fun with that power," he said sarcastically with a grin. He watched as she let out another blast of lightning, missing the target barely again.

"Try this; once the anger has built up, try to focus it so that it will bend to your will, thus going where your command it to. The way it's behaving shows that you're just building the emotion and letting it go once it overflows. A true master of the darkside of the force and especially nuetral Jedi masters strive to perfect the focus of their energy in this power. Otherwise, it's just chaotic rage with no master. Focus it, then release it onto the target," he explained, hoping it would help out.

Saeryl's shoulders slumped as he instructed her in how to try and aim the blast. It wasn't from his words - just that storing up and releasing the angry blasts of lightning really took a lot out of her. She wasn't sure she could do it again, but she would try it. She closed her eyes again, preparing. At some point she would need to learn to do this with her eyes open for it to be useful, but she was alright with this for now.

She once again brought her anger to the forefront, concentrating on it and letting it empower her, feeling it course through her being. She let it build again until she could barely hold it back, then opened her eyes. She lifted her hand, pointing it towards the target, and this time exerted her will. Blue lightning arced from her hand, striking the target dead on.

She slumped to her knees once the arc of lightning stopped, breathing heavily. Using this new power multiple times in quick succession had left her exhausted.

Lane saw that she was tired, and rose his hand and allowed an orb of the force to encase them, giving them energy to make up for the lost energy. Soon, she would feel energized again. He would not make her use the lightning again, as she had shown she could do it. He just wanted to give her enough energy to be able to make it for the rest of the day.

"Do you feel your energy returning to you?" He asked her, curious if the power still worked with him, for he hadn't used it in ages.

Saeryl looked around at the orb of Force as she felt it replenishing her energy, and after a bit be able to stand and breath normally, though she did still feela little tired. She looked at Lane and smiled.

"I feel much better, thank you. You'll have to teach me that one sometime."

Lane chuckled a little bit. "This power is, surprisingly, a power of the darkside. I would teach it to you, but it takes a master of the force to learn it. It takes the force, and turns it into energy to replenish your body. I don't understand the mechanics on how it can be that way, as I see it as a nuetral ability, but alas it is. In any case, since we've completed today's schedule, is there anything that's been on your mind you wanted to ask me?" Lane asked. He was curious as to what was going on in her head. He didn't want to probe, feeling it would be rude since he didn't have a good reason to.

Saeryl nodded, grinning at him.

"Well, then we'll just have to wait a day or two until you teach me, hey?"

She reached out to punch his shoulder playfully, still grinning at him.

"Questions, hmm? Well, sure. When do I get to go on one of these 'missions' i hear people talking about? Oh, and are they solo or are they usually a group thing?"

Lane chuckled a little at her. "Perhaps when you've gotten more rank, actually," he said. "You'll get a mission after your training. It depends on whether they're group missions or not, but you can sign up for them after you've completed training. Since we've a contract with the Hutt empire, I'm sure they'll put missions on the board soon. That satisfy your question?" He said, turning to walk out of the training room with her.

Saeryl nodded, turning as well and walking alongside him. She wondered how long this training was, then... and the best way to find out was probably to ask.

"How long will my training be, or is it done by skills learned, not by time?"

She steadied her breathing as she walked, still feeling a bit tired, though much better then she had a few minutes ago. Still, she was pretty sure she would be having a great sleep tonight, would probably fall asleep as her head hit the pillow. She decided a bath was out of the question tonight, because she'd probably fall asleep and drown if she took one.

"It's based on time. You've shown you can learn the techniques I've shown you by the deadlines I give you. You will graduate on time. However, you've still a while to go. There are things you've yet to learn. Once you do, though, you will be able to climb the ranks fast. I've no illusions about it," he explained as they walked through the outdoor walkways of the training academy.

"Come, I want to show you something," Lane said, leading her through the walkways to until they got to the entrance of the entire base. He led her out into the field and to a cave that seemed dark, but there was light coming from the inside. They didn't have to walk long in it before they entered a chamber with a giant blue crystal emanting a blue light that illuminated the crystal cavern. Lane closed his eyes and smiled, feeling the force flow through the cave as if it weren't of this universe.

"This is a place I go to whenever I need to meditate. I found it when the base was first being constructed and refurbished. It's a crystal cave, where natural crystals used in lightsabers are found. The force flows freely through caves like this, and each one is different. Some... Some are filled with darkness and those who feed on it. This one, however, is a safe place to go when you need to be alone, after your training, of course," Lane said with a snicker.

Saeryl followed along quietly until they reached the cave, and then her eyes frew wide. To think that a place like this was here - she wondered if this cave were the reason that the academy had been located her ein the first place. She knew they were rare, and full of lightsaber crystals. She reached a hand out towards the blue crystal, feeling the Force running through her.

"This place is amazing."

She had never seen one in person before, and was glad that she had now. She closed her eyes and opened herself up fully to the Force, loving the feel of it.

"I have shown few this place. You're one of my best students, and have earned the right. When you complete your training, I'll take you back here and let you choose a crystal. But for now, the day is complete. If you want to remain here until you're ready to sleep, please do so. I have to go see one of my officers. This place will vitalize you and give you more force energy," Lane explained. He turned to leave and then halted, allowing the force to course through his body one more time.

"I will see you later then, Lane."

She spoked back over her shoulder, not looking away from the large blue crystal. Her smile grew as the Force continued to flow freely through her body, revitalizing her. Her eyes closed, she slowly dropped down to sit crosslegged before that glowing crystal and started to meditate on how it made her feel. It was not unlike the feeling of the power Lane had used to replenish her energy, though this was much more concentrated. She wondered if this was where the idea had come from in the first place, and if she studied it enough if she could learn it.

She meditated at the Crystal for a few hours, then would reluctantly stand and leave, making her way back to the academy and to her room, for another excellent night's sleep.

Lane made his way into the officers hall, picking up a meal for himself and then sitting next to the man he needed to see.

"Afternoon, Grand General. I take you've heard my message?"

"Yes," Lane said.

"Good. The capital ship is under construction, and when you're ready, we'll go and pick it up," the man said. Lane nodded and continued his meal. They sat and talked for a few hours before Lane headed back to his room for the night. It was exciting to learn they would soon have a mobile HQ, but he wanted to finish Saeryl's training. He was even entertaining the thought of giving her a place aboard seeing as how she was one of his most gifted pupils, but he would cross that road when they got there. For now, he simply wanted to meditate and then rest. After he laid down, his eyes closed slowly and he fell asleep.

Saeryl woke in the middle of the night, and wasn't sure why at first. She sat up and looked around - something was out of place, but she couldn't place it. She closed her eyes, trying to place it. Was it... the Force? She opened her eyes and laid back down again, thinking. Perhaps she had spent too much time in the Crystal cave. That must be it - nothing to worry about, she didn't think. She closed her eyes and fell back to a suddenly restless sleep.

Several months had passed since Saeryl's first day of training, and now she had reached completion. The room was filled with those she had become friends with, those Lane bragged to about her, and others there to see the student which they figured would be the next great Master in the Luminado NCO's, or even beyond that. The room itself was a beauty. It had golden walls with very detailed design and artwork, as ever ceremony room should have, with a large red carpet running down from a stage to the door.

The ceremony was for Saeryl, as she was one of the few who had made the cut above the rest. She had promise to go far, and the ceremony would be the start. Lane himself wore his most handsom uniform. It was a black coat with red stripes along the sides and sleeves, with golden buttons on the cuffs. The pants were also black with red strips down the sides. He wore his black dress shoes as well. At his belt was clipped his best looking and best all-around lightsaber. It was a golden hilt with black grip on it. The blade was also gold. He was going to knight her, a tradition he would carry over from the Jedi into the Luminado, but with a deeper meaning. Only his best students would be knighted, not just anyone.

Lane stood at the center of the stade with two finely dressed young female cadets at his right, holding her first uniform of duty, and one of his outstanding officers to his left who was there to read out the ceremonial letter. Today, he hoped, would be a day she would remember, as with any student who had proven worthy of the ceremony.

Saewryl nervously paced in the hallway outside the room, waiting until it was time to go in. It had taken many months of hard work, and now she had a moment to stop and think back on everything she had achieved so far. She came to a stop, eyes moving to a man stand beside the door, who was motioning to her that Lane had entered. She stepped to the door and it was opened for her.

She steeled her resolve and stepped through, and then as every eye turned to look at her she smiled. Now that she was here, in the moment, she was no longer nervous. She knew she had earned this. She squared her shoulders and shifted her eyes to Lane as she walked over to stand in front of him. She looked for a moment at the uniform, then looked back at Lane, still smiling. She was wearing her customary battle outfit, because she found it suiting, and thought it looked nice enough for a situation like this. It might just be relegated to being her fine occasion suit as she would now have a uniform.

She grinned suddenly, then winked at Lane. Ok, so maybe she wasn't taking this quite as seriously as she should be, but she didn't think Lane would mind. Her eyes moved to his lightsaber, then she dropped down to one knee and bowed her head to wait quietly to be knighted.
