A coincidence is an event notable for its conjunction with other conditions. something like a person having blue eyes and being Force sensitive is a coincidence. Coincidences happen and sometimes have no deeper meaning. Other times, they are a sign that things may be meant to happen. A Jedi might call it the work of the Force. Others might say its things just lining up perfectly.

The young Padawan, Algent Elus, was on a transport shuttle that was crossing outer rim territories. It was simply for the research of parts less known in the galaxy for Algent Elus. One of the planets that were passed by was a fungus forest type of planet. To Algent, little was known about the planet besides what he could see through the window, and what he had personally asked about the planet which was not much. Algent was writing a brief entry in his datapad when one of those things described as a "coincidence" happened.

The transport he was on just so happened to start having engine trouble right around the time Algent was writing in his datapad. The several others on the ship were worrying. Algent was not so moved. This type of event had happened just five years ago, and the only major connection between the two appeared to be that Algent Elus was present on the transport. This time, the Padawan rushed to the escape pods before everyone else, unlike the last situation. While everyone else was just arriving to the pods, Algent was getting into one, and preparing to blast off. The several others noted Algent's obvious experience with the situation.

Algent Elus watched as everyone made it off the ship alive and to see that the ship slowly floated to its doom in the orbit of the planet below. The escape pods everyone was in were targeted right at the planet below as well. The only difference was the non-fiery crash. No one was going to land in the same coordinates, but everyone was going to land on the planet. The Pilot probably had a contingency for this sort of thing, and he had made it off safely, as well. Braced for impact this time around, Algent awaited the crash into the planet.

Spirited Away

The sound of clanking could be heard from in a crater. It was Algent Elus kicking the door of his escape pod. The door clanked with every kick. Algent was determined to open the exit. The latched finally snapped. The Padawan popped his head out of the door. All he could see were the walls of the impact crater he was in. Algent climbed out and began to scale the walls of the crater. Upon inspection, there was a lot of fungus around and the landscape almost seemed dreamlike. The forest that Algent landed himself in was much different from Tython. Unfortunately, he did not catch the direction the transport was landing.

A large roar was heard from the left of Algent. It was simply another one of those coincidences being heard. With only the Force and the Jedi Code to guide Algent, and only a figure on what direction he should not go, he was truly lost. The communications in the pod malfunctioned; another one of those coincidences. Algent was truly scared. He took deep breaths and realized that his fear was rational.

Algent talked to himself, "Okay, I'm scared," he stated. "I'm in a forest that I know little about, and I'm more of an urban type of person." Algent thought about his surroundings for a moment, "Fungus, a lot of fungus is surrounding me. The planet is forest type, and surprisingly hot and humid. What other information can I assume." He thought to himself for a moment and realized, "Inhabitants. There should be some form of sentience here. Hm," Algent put his hand to his chin, "How would I go about finding-,"

The roar heard earlier was louder and closer the second time around. What Algent would only consider trees, began to rustle and shake. Something big was coming. Suddenly a giant claw ripped a tree. A large rancor. Algent bolted in the opposite direction. A rancor was stomping trees behind him. Algent was almost scared witless. Trees fell and the ground shook. A moving mountain was hounding a man. A hungry, vicious mountain. Algent ran into a problem not to long into the chase. A large canyon was blocking Algent. The rancor was coming closer. Algent frantically looked for a way out. However, it was too late. The rancor was on him. Yards away. Algent, emotionally and physically drained, prepared himself to become one with the Force. He thought of his sister, Allie Dawn, and his master. He was between a rock and a hard place. The rancor came upon Algent just a few feet away. Razor sharp teeth inches from Algent's body. Suddenly, a group attacked the rancor. The rancor turned in fear of the group. Suddenly the creature was hit with a barrage. The group was using the Force to attack the rancor. Algent pictured Jedi Knights coming to save him. Nothing surprised him more then to see blue humanoids attacking the rancor. Algent quickly moved from behind it as the Rancor was going down in his direction. The group were pushing the creature down the canyon. Finally the rancor fell to its doom. Algent looked over the edge in disbelief. Suddenly, the group of blue Force users looked over the edge at their kill. Their language was a guttural barking. They seemed upset.

Algent hesitantly and cautiously walked over. His intuition told him that they would not harm him and that they could potentially help. "Hello," Algent caught the natives' attention, "Y-You have m-my thanks."

The blue ones looked at him for a moment and then erupted in barking. It was almost primal. Almost nothing was interpretable except that they were in conflict. They were speaking about what to do with him. One of them barked at Algent and nearly scared him to death. It addressed him in the language. Algent struggled to understand. A different Felucian walked over to Algent, towering over the Padawan by five inches. It then turned around and Algent was facing his back. The Padawan hesitated. An angry sounding bark came shortly afterward. Following his intuition, Algent climbed onto the Felucian's strong back. It walked over to the other Felucians. Suddenly they got on all fours, and Algent was being whisked away through the forest...

The Big Cheese

It was only a few moments later that the Felucians and Algent Elus arrived at what could only be described as a large village. The entire village was amassed in what seemed to be fungus looking material. Buildings were huge and the layouts almost did not make sense. Doors were placed on walls far too high for a human, but the Felucians were able to crawl along the surface to them. It was mostly blue and green, and several spots were taller than others. Where the group of Felucians were taking Algent was the tallest structure in the village. As they passed, a great deal of Felucians could be seen. The warriors were training and practicing. The shamans were healing others of the tribe and teaching the ways of the Force to others; almost like the Jedi.

Algent hung onto the Felucian's back as it and the others in its group climbed up the tallest structure to a door. When they entered, there was a large yellow Felucian sitting on a throne of some sort. He was a Felucian Chieftain who were the most powerful of the Felucian hierarchy. The Felucian that Algent clung lowered down which signaled Algent to jump off. The group approached the chieftain who was obviously surprised to see a regular human, a species they had yet to encounter. The group spoke to the chieftain and not much was understood by Algent even through use of the Force. What was clear was that the chieftain and the group were speaking about Algent, and what to do with him. They had sensed the lightside within Algent, and that he was strong in the Force like their shamans. The chieftain gave a bark that he understood. Then the group went back to Algent and grabbed hold of him. They pulled him over to see the Chieftain directly. There were barks and grunts that the Padawan had no understanding of. Algent, decided he should perhaps say something.

"I do not understand your language," spoke the young one.

The chieftain jumped as he heard the Padawan speak. He too was not able to interpret what the Padawan was saying. There was a language barrier in between them.

"I am a Padawan from the Jedi Order," explained Algent Elus, "I have come here on accident. I do not mean to disturb your tribe."

The Chieftain grunted behind his mask. He failed to understand what Algent was trying to say. The Chieftain turned to one of the group, and spoke in the barking language. The Felucian walked over to Algent and they looked at one another. The Felucian allowed the young human to climb back onto his back. Then Algent was once again taken across the village at the apparent command of the Chieftain. The destination appeared to be an empty room in one of the buildings. It had fungus bedding and not much else. When Algent climbed down from the Felucian's back, and went to take a look back, his escort had completely disappeared. It was then that Algent realized it was nighttime, and he had been taken to a room to sleep. Considering the room was seven stories high off the ground and Algent was not leaving anytime soon. The young Padawan, physically and mentally drained, went over to the fungus bed and attempted to sleep...

The next morning, Algent Elus had been up early and refreshed. His fungus bed had been surprisingly comfortable. The sunlight coming through the door and window next too it really brought out the blueness in the fungus looking room. It was almost like looking at a soft and shiny blue rock. Algent was attempting to learn the Felucian language with another Felucian as Algent tried to figure out barks. Algent was imitating some of the barks while the Felucian he was with gave examples of what it meant. The barks were relatively simple and from the gut. Algent himself was also trying to teach the Felucian to understand Galactic Basic which it was not having too much trouble doing. It understood some of Galactic Basic for the most part, but there was little chance of it actually speaking it. They had spent a few hours trying to learn from each other. Algent was attempting to use the Force to comprehend the lessons and comprehend what the Felucian was saying.

"So the bark goes like this," Algent said before proceeding to make a bark sound making the Felucian repeat the sound. "Oh, so it goes like that."

Suddenly, another Felucian climbs into the door, and discusses something with the other the Felucian in the room. Algent was starting to understand full sentences of what they were saying, and what they were saying was something about Algent meeting with the chieftain. Their Force sensitivity was making it easier for Algent to understand them. The two Felucians finished talking, and the newer Felucian went over to give Algent a ride to the Chieftain. The Padawan climbed onto the Felucian's back and was instantly taken down the path to the Chieftain. The other Felucian looked on as they left. When they arrived, they saw that the Chieftain had been waiting for Algent's arrival. The chieftain spoke, and Algent was actually beginning to fully understand.

"I have made my decision, strange one," the chieftain spoke in Felucianese, but Algent was understanding it for the most part, "You will live here as one of us. So says Chieftain Zoisite."

Algent hesitated in response as he attempted to speak to the Chieftain in the native tongue, "I thank you, Chieftain, but I may not be staying for long."

The Chieftain, whom understood Algent, nodded his head. "You have learned our language well, but you have an accent," stated the large yellow one, "You are welcome to stay here until your leave then, strange one. Mind yourself however."

Algent bowed his head in response, "I shall, chieftain. You have my gratitude."

The Chieftain had never seen a bow before and it was not part of Felucian customs. He addressed the same Felucian that brought Algent to him, "Take the strange one to learn of our warrior ways so that he may hunt, Vesture."

With the Chieftain satisfied and Algent in safe hands, Algent started a new life with the Felucians. He was unsure of how long he would be in the village, but it was a safe haven for a time. The Jedi code was what guided Algent at this point. Algent had safely eliminated much ignorance of where he was and then some. He was starting to feel safe as he had been accepted by the Felucians as one of them for at least the time being. The Felucian by the name of Vesture took Algent upon his back. They were headed to a place in which Algent would be trained in the warrior ways. He had to learn how to hunt like every other Felucian besides the Shamans and Chieftains. Algent did not realize how difficult it actually was...
