[Algarus]

Adun swore and drew his lightsaber as he moved to cut down his new opponents. His purple blade sprang to life as called upon his training in Soresu. He knocked away a few blaster shots as he cleaved his saber through on man's arm. "Lock the door!" He shouted as he waded into combat. Something told him that this wasn't going to be as easy as he first thought.

 

[Tristyn]

Ray quickly dodged some bolts that flew her way before running for cover on the opposite end of the room from Adun. A moment passed before she jumped from her cover and used the Force to pulp some of the pirates from the catwalks they were shooting from.

"There's your opening!"

With that the rebels ran up from behind her while she charged in head on, cutting up a few pirates along the way. "Alright, who has the charges?"

 

[Minuteman75]

"I do." A rebel named Adonis answered in a hard biting voice as they wiped out pirates engineers, with one one rebel injured shot in the left arm. He was sharp looking middle aged human male on the baldish side that hailed originally from Anaxes and is considered one of the best combat engineers on Corusca crew. He already was looking at the reactor, analyzing the best possibilities where to place the bombs.

Yet at the same time, one of the dying pirates behind the rebel/Jedi group struggle pressed at a button at a terminal before collapsing back down. It was an alarm trigger, letting the ship know there is trouble as the sirens echoed repeatedly. Thankfully the small team of allies had already locked the door, but it won't keep the other raiders for too long.

 

[Algarus]

Adun reached out, using the force to ensure that they were the only ones in the room. Seeing this was the case, he began tending to the wounded using his limited medical training. He wasn't sure who was exactly in charge of this group, but he figured he and Rayla could both take charge. "Get the charges set. They'll have a security team down here soon, so keep away from the door. Everyone take up positions, we'll repel them here. Hopefully the other squad made it to the bridge before they go on lockdown."

 

[Tristyn]

Ray sighed as the alarm went off,"Let's ambush them just as they come to help" The remaining rebels nodded and took up positions around the door, while Ray did the same. She looked back at Adun and sent him a message, Adun, you have to move the wounded, they will see you!

When the alarm went off, Forim assumed the worst as he and his squad neared the bridge. A few minutes before the commanding Warlord accompied by several bodyguards had stormed out and went down to the source of the trouble. Forim's group proceeded to the bridge just as the lockdown commenced. Meanwhile the security team as expected arrived for the engine room, only to find the door locked.

Adonis and his fellow combat enigeers already were placing the charges on the vunberable parts of the reactor. The Jedi and the other rebels ready their ambush when the pirates outside blast the door open and charged in.

Hearing Rayla's warning, Adun began dragging the more severely wounded rebels to safety before taking his position at the front of the formation. He could sense more presences outside the room, one of which seemed to be force sensitive. He ignited his lightsaber and went into his stance as the squad moved to cover. He put up a force shield to protect himself from the initial blast, and hoped Rayla did the same. "Everyone get ready. I can sense them right outside." When the doors were blown apart, he had to duck to avoid being clipped by a part of the blast door. Blaster fire erupted soon after that, as he began deflecting and redirecting shots into the incoming raiders. It seemed all of his practice with the remotes was paying off.

 

[Tristyn]

As soon as the doors blown open she jumped right into the fray, as is the way of Ataru, and started cutting up the first line of pirates with ease. She saw the second group approaching from the end of the corridor. Ray sheathed her sabers and used both hands to pull the group towards them with the Force. As they were flung towards her, she managed to decapitate one of them as they passed her.

Now that the pirates were lying on the ground from being flung through the air, the rebels will be able to make short of them. One of the engineers cried out to the group as one of the stray blaster bolts destroyed the remote for the bombs,"Um....guys...the remote got fried..we can only detonate them manually"

One of the other rebels lowered his carbine,"Then you do it"

"Feth you man, I got a family and kids expecting me home"

The group began to argue over who was going to arm the bomb. Rayla just stared at them and then at Adun.

 

[Minuteman75]

Adonis, the head enigeer had briefly been taken aback, by the new complication but got ahold of himself. "Shut up all of you! This is not up for debate, because I'm doing it."

One of the other rebels, the one with the mentioned family repiled.

"But Adonis, it's-"

"I know, Otto but the fact is there no one waiting for me. No home to go back to."

The rebels lowered their heads for a second, it was true. Adonis had lost all of everyone he knew back on Coruscant when it was destroyed by the Sith years ago. They nodded solemnly to their comrade, feeling ashamed of their eariler behavior. Looking to them and the Jedi, he spoke with a heavy sigh.

"It's been a pleasure everyone...give my regards to the captain."

With that, Adonis made his way closer to the reactor. The rebels proceeded to leave the room, not realizing the warlord was on his way to them.

 

[Algarus]

Adun stepped up to the engineer and put his hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure you want to do this? I can use my powers to survive the blast, and you can go with your comrades. This way no one has to die." Adun knew this wasn't true, he didn't have the skill to stop such a blast, but the rebel didn't know that.

 

[Tristyn]

Rayla looked at Adun, Oh you idiot, what are you planning now. She didn't intervene, instead she waited at the door, ready for anything.

"If you guys can hurry that would be great because I can hear more pirates coming down the hallway"

 

[Minuteman75]

"Kid you ain't fooling me. I tend to know when someone is lying to me, like you're doing right now. Get yourself and the others out of here, there isn't much time."

Adonis replied with a firm determination that broke no argument. He knew this was going to be a one way trip, and Adonis decided it should be him to take it. These two Jedi may not understand yet but the galaxy does need their Order and everyone of them counted, especially against the Sith. Back up at the bridge, Forim and his squad had eliminated anyone willing to reist within there a few minutes since it was lightly defended. They held the bridge crew at gunpoint, forcing them to move the cruiser away from the besieged spaceport.

Smiling at their success Forim called in through the comms to the other squad and the Jedi can hear the message since the .

"Squad two this is the commander, we got this tube moving. Do your job now."

Yet as the others received that message, the warlord and his small host turned a left corner, leading to the reactor room. They and the rebels outside spotted one another. Quickly a new firefight ensues between them, but the Zygerrian captain instead of pulling out a blaster, displayed a very familiar cylinder and activate it. A golden blade came to life for the rebel group to see. With a sneering expression he gotten in front deflecting blaster bolts with ease.

 

[Algarus]

Hearing the aged man's response, Adun sighed and left the man to his fate. "As you wish. May the force be with you." He sad sadly before departing. He caught up to the rest of the squad just as they were assailed upon by another security team. He took his place up front, deflecting shots away from the team as best he could. His eyes widened as he saw the man up front draw a lightsaber and ignite it. Adun had no clue what level this man was at, or if he and Rayla could even hope to beat him. He called back to the people behind him. "Throw your grenades, now!" Adun threw up a force shield to protect himself from the blast that would come. Maybe he could hold this guy off so the rest of them could get to the hanger......

 

[Tristyn]

Rayla's eye's widened as she saw the saber wielding pirate appear at the doorway. She switched on one of her lightsabers and assumed her Ataru stance and was ready for him to attack. She Adun call for grenades and a moment later the rebels threw their detonators at the pirate. Instead of trying to find cover she caused a huge Force blast with both her hands that sent the last of the pirates and their captain flying through the hallway and exploding in the distance.

This automatically triggered the ship's old alarm. Ray breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Adun, who was cowering behind his Force bubble,"Oh my hero"

Unstable as they seem, the two Jedi had proven to be a great help to their rebel allies in a pitch. Raya and Adun's team didn't waste any further time, as they fled back toward the direction of the hanger-bay. Meanwhile Forim and his group had stun blast the bridge crew and proceeded with their escape as well.

Back at the reactor room, Adonis wait while humming an old Corsucanti tune for several minutes that felt like ages. Then he sighed in resignation, the enigeer figured he would die in action, never against pirates though. There was no turning back now he reminded himself, the chocie had been made. His life forfeit in exchange that the people down below didn't have to suffer any further.

"Robin, my darling...I'm coming."

Adonis whispered of his long dead wife with tears of joy bittersweet, streaming down his face as he pressed the denotation button. A great ball of fire erupted in the room, consuming everything within it. The cruiser shook violently as a result, and slowly began to descend down from the sky, making the haste for escape all the urgent for those aboard.

 

[Algarus]

The sudden jolting of the ship caused Adun to smack into the bulkhead. Wincing he held the side of his acheing head and turned to help a fallen soldier to his feet. A few curcuits blew, cause small fires to begin forming the hall. Warning sirens began going off, sending the crew aboard the doomed vessel scrambling for an escape pod. The power feed to the engines would keep the ship from plummeting into the ground for only a few more minutes, they needed to leave right now. Taking a moment to look back at the squad Adun started. "Help the wounded. All of you are getting off this together. No one is getting left behind."

 

[Tristyn]

Rayla nearly lost her footing when the ship began to explode and tilt. Her first instinct was to find an escape pod and get away, but she needed to make sure of something first. She looked around to see where Adun was, who was helping an injured rebel. She sighed and shook her head,"Adun, if you don't get out of here, his fate will be the same as yours!" She would make her way to the escape pods but paused to wait for Adun.

Forim's squad were heading to another set of escape pods. He alerted the pilot on their eariler transport to get out of the hanger, as they did. Little did, Adun and Raya realize though that they were being pursed. Kobar, the warlord, had barely survived what those intruders did to him. His clothes were torn and his body burned and scarred, yet it didn't matter to him. Those Jedi had screwed him over and were going to pay for it.

Tracking them and their companions to their destination, Kobar, squeezed his fists violently. These meddlers ruined everything. Using the force to ehance his speed, he charged straight behind Adun and the wounded rebel he was helping. The rebel, a Zabark, named Hark had been glancing back when he saw the incoming danger. Without hesitation, Hark used what's up of his strength to push Adun out of the way, when the warlord slashed his saber upward in their direction. Hark's head flew off from the body, upon impact.

Kobar, wasn't finished yet, with one hand he unleashed a force push toward Raya and then continue his attack at the other Jedi, attempting to stab him for the chest.

 

[Algarus]

Adun felt a violent shove slam him in the side causing him to fall onto his back. As he pushed himself back to his feet he watched as Hark was decapitated by the war lord. His hand was on his saber as he ignited it just as he flung a force shove in Rayla's direction, he felt a violent fury take over him as he watched her get hit by the force power, combined with his squad member dying to save his life; Adun snapped. He slammed his saber against the warlords with his rage fulling the strike as he stared back at the man savagely, his teeth clenched as his rage empowered him. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR THAT!" He used his cybernetic hand to throw a punch to his opponents face as he guided the attackers blade away from his body. He couldn't think clearly, he just felt his body thrashing out towards the man. He felt stronger, as if all the previous battles hadn't fatigued him in the slightest, but this power had a cost.

 

[Tristyn]

Ray felt herself thrown the air and then crashing down on the floor. Her little time to brace herself caused her to break her right arm, making her shriek in pain. The rebels in front of her turned around to see what was happening and once of them helped her up. She gripped her broken arm with the other and looked at Adun and the warlord dueling it out.

Ray never bothered to try and fight alongside him, even if her other arm was fine. She had only trained to use both of them, or with the one in her right hand. Since that wasn't going to happen she just watched angrily as the fight ensued, even pushed away a medic that offered to help her.
