Hello everyone,

So I joined the site around two months ago and in that time I made one character in which I archived shortly after. I have every interest to RP here, it's just that my life hasn't slowed down enough yet for me to invest the time to do so. But in my time here I've noticed that a total of three Faction Leaders resigning, each claiming that they have issues with the site's current timeline and the direction it is going (particularly the focus on PvP). While I don't mind PvP, I am concerned about the change in leadership and their reasonings for stepping down. Can anyone shed some light on the topic and perhaps reassure a concerned member? :P

You have absolutely nothing to worry about, mate. There are some squabbles, sure, but when you join a faction you'll see that especially as a new member you'll be fine. We all love to write and RP and will make sure others can enjoy it, too.

If your avatar is anything to go by I hope you find the Sith to your liking. We're a nice bunch and always willing to help ya out.

I'll also echo this sentiment. Especially the last part.

Come join the Sith. We're great. ;)

+1 it's typically personal reasons that drive FLs to resign as of late in my experience.

If you're thinking of making another Sith and have a skype, feel free to hit me up and I can get you added to the Sith skype chat that we have so you can get to know some of the other people in the faction. : )

That goes for any of the other factions too, though. I'm pretty sure every main faction has its own skype chat, so definitely hit up someone in whatever faction you choose to get in on that. They're usually a riot and it also makes setting up threads and stuff with other people a lot easier.

also sbz > sith
join sbz
pls ;3

No problem ;)

I don't know if you use Skype, but you'll find your fit on the forum much faster if you join one of the big faction chats. For example, the indies have one big chat, moderated by @Outlander, where you'll find the people who have all your answers when it comes to the indie factions. So whether you end up with the Sith again, or go Jedi, Republic or indie.. I'm sure you'll be accepted with open arms.

So with the nice words out of the way... how dare you leave the Sith you scrub!

EDIT: Got Ninja'd damnit.

What I was told by an experienced member of the site. That it takes a little for people to get settled in but eventually there will be an FL that is perfect for a faction and will lead them for a few years. This timeline is just getting started if you conpare it to some of the lengths of other timelines. Don't worry. We'll find that sweet spot c:

If you need help. I'm here as well!

Don't worry about it at all. A new faction leader is all ready being selected, one far better at the job than I ever was.

You'll do well in whatever faction you chose, in so long as you have fun :)

There's lots of other circumstances surrounding it too. The Sith FL resigned because she didn't like PVP, but doesn't begrudge the use of PVP. It just wasn't for her. The Jedi FL resigned for... a lot of reasons, and PVP was more of a lightning rod there than any real issue. Nor'baal's just spoke for himself so I'll just say ditto to what he said!

Yeah man, sometimes being in such an important leadership role just isn't what people want out of this site either. There's never one single reason for an FL or AFL to step down, it's almost always a lot of different things including their personal life that lead to making that decision.

Good for you, voicing your concerns though! Hopefully you find some time in the future to jump into the trenches with us! :)

You also don't even have to join a faction. I had an indie character last timeline with ties to no one.
