Concussions and Stones in my Gall (Bladder)

Yerp.

So, for the past few days my chest was hurting me. Of course, being me, I popped some advil and whatnot and got over it, though it was starting to get to the point where I woulda asked my doctor about it. However, before that day came, I had a fairly important hockey game to play in, so that went down. During that, I got into a fist fight with some dude and ended up with a concussion. Mild, nothing serious or the like.

I went to the hospital, just to get it checked out, and figured it would probably be a good idea to ask about the pains in my chest.

Gallstones.

Since Tuesday I've been holed up in the damned Hospital, relishing in the services of a staff who might as well be sixteen year olds stocking shelves at Shop Rite they're that efficient.

When a friend visited in the hospital, I asked them to bring their laptop so I could post this quickly. I may be checking in on my phone every now and again, but once my friend leaves I prooooobably won't have any real chance to do some posting or anything. (Well, I don't really have any now, just wanted to put this up for the people who I'm in a thread with and whatnot.)

So yeah, **** gallstones and hospitals.

However, I do have a newly formed affection for Tylenol :CSly.

Being in a hospital filled with people who know less about hospitals than I do (thank you Scrubs and House) is much worse than the pain of literally being able to feel a gallstone from my gut. Which you should not be able to do...at all.

Eh, unless shit goes horribly wrong I can't die.

Annnnyways... Sucks to be you, bro? I suggest you try to get a hospital-change if they don't know what they're doing at the current one.

Eh, obviously I'm exaggerating. But if they're gonna take an hour and a half to get me Tylenol and then reschedule a surgery (an after later than the original surgery was suppose to start) I feel I'm deserved a low blow. Especially since I've been nothing but polite and cooperative.

My significant other is starting her residency in a few months and I have the sinking feeling that I will be seeing entirely too much of a hospital for my liking.

As per gall bladder stones. They suck. Majorly. I can empathize. My thoughts and prayers (to a non-sectarian deity) go with you. Feel better, dude.

That was pretty good timing, Const. I had the surgery yesterday, everything was perfectly fine. Still more incompetent staff, but at least the surgeon didn't remove my liver or lungs by mistake I guess.

But apparently the gall bladder was so freaking big they couldn't do it the miproscopic way or whatever the hell it is (It was like being in high school all over again. Was told stuff, just didn't listen.) All I know is that was supposed to get me out of the hospital by tomorrow or Monday, but now it won't be for another four or five days or so. The doctor said it was a surprise I was even able to walk like that.

And thank the lord for painkillers.

Gettin' out tomorrow, as an update. Was supposed to get out today, but some idiot nurse put the IV in wrong and they decided to have me stay another night, just cause it was starting to get late.
