Name: Corran Cath
Faction: N/A
Rank: N/A
Species: Human(Bakura)
Age: 29
Gender Male
Force Sensitive: Yes

Appearance: Corran is, to his agitation, under what most would consider normal height for a male human. He stands at barely 5'7, something he is stuck with thanks to his lineage. He has black hair, and green eyes, and thanks to his lineage once again, very pale skin tone. He weights roughly 185 Lbs, most of which is muscle, even if it doesn't show. He has a scar running across his face from just above his left eye to the right corner of his mouth, received during an accident while training.

Attributes: Corran is intelligent. To be honest, he is something of a genius, but he prefers to not let it show. Long years spent studying and being tutored by dozens of different teachers, as well as Corran having a perfect memory, allowed him to learn and understand everything he was taught. When he was not studying as a child, he was training, building his stamina. He is not the strongest man, but he can hold his own against most., keeping himself moving and wearing down his opponent. As well, Corran has a knack for talking to people, and many have said he has a very charismatic aura. He never really bought into that, but he has been able to convince others to do what he wants if he puts his mind to it.

However, due to his intelligence, Corran tends to underestimate people. He will study them, think on them, and believe them to be below himself. This has often led him to letting himself get caught off guard by a surprising opponent. Despite being well trained and strong, Corran can't take a hit all that well. In a fight, he has to knock his opponents out quickly before they can hit back, or else he could very quickly become overwhelmed. He is forced to rely on speed and stamina in a fight, rather than straight head to head fighting.

Personality: Corran has a very dry sense of humor, often making jokes at the wrong moments, or making certain situations...worse. Otherwise, he is a very straight forward and stoic individual. He has issues trusting others, often leading him to not confide in others or fully open up to them. This adds on to his belief that others are beneath him, and he often comes off as arrogant and rude. However, once he gets to know someone, and actually get to know someone, and come to call them a friend, there is very little that will stop him if they are in need.

History: Corran Cath was born to the modestly wealthy Cath Household on the planet of Bakura. His father was a merchant, and ran a small business selling the planets Repulsor Lift coils to private contractors across nearby sectors. This enterprise had allowed him to purchase a large house, and finance the education of his children. As his parents were believers in the customs of Bakura, they had two children. Corran was the oldest, and his sister, Megan, a year younger. Their entire early life was spent being tutored and trained to one day take over the family business.

However, when the two siblings came of age, they underwent the standard test all children of the faith had to. Corran earned higher marks, and was given a feather, while his sister was given the bowl. She was taken from their home the next day, to serve the priests as an attendant. Corran's family then received the reward money for him to continue his education. He promptly stole it, and one of his families freighters, and left. He had been close to his sister, and when she was taken from him, something broke inside him.

Barely a month into his journey, his ship was boarded by pirates. They ransacked everything of use, and were prepared to kill Corran. In fear, and in rage Corran lashed out, and for the first time channeled the force. The pirates were all killed, and the two ships were heavily damaged. They were left adrift in space, and Corran would likely have died, if he hadn't been so lucky. A passing starship detected the drifting ships. The pilot boarded the ship, and, sensing Corran's force connection, took him with him back to his hidden home. After healing, he was given a simple choice. Either become the mans apprentice, or he would turn Corran in to his father and the Bakura authorities for crime and theft. It was little surprise which option Corran chose.

He spent the next ten years of his life training with his new Master, learning the ways of the force and the Jedi, atleast, from his Masters perspective. He had abandoned the Order long ago, seeing their methods as weak and limited. He had embraced both sides of the force, passing this knowledge down to Corran. He learned quickly, as he always had, mastering several basic force techniques within the first few years, and becoming a excellent swordsman with the saber his master helped him craft. The two spent years travelling the galaxy, helping those that needed it, and largely staying out of the way of the war.

This ended shortly after his twenty ninth birthday. While investigating a distress call on a backwater colony world, the two came to the aid of a small village under attack by a rogue force user. They quickly put the man down, but almost at once, something inside his old Master changed, and he turned on the villagers. Corran fought his, defending the people as best he could, taking grievous wounds in the process. In the end, he cut down his old Master, before himself collapsing. He spent the next few months recovering in the village, in this time, he contemplated things. When he emerged healed, he set out on his own, determined to go his own way.

Skills: Corran is a talented swordsman, having mastered the use of a saberstaff during his years of training with his old Master. Out of necessity, he has become a excellent pilot, as he has flown himself across half the galaxy, surviving numerous dangers.

Green Saberstaff
DX-38

I like it. I'm not a Jedi FL so take my opinion with a grain of salt until the Jedi say otherwise, but why would had master turn him in to the authorities for killing pirates? Pirates operate outside the law and Corran Killed them out of self defense.

It also seems to me that the Jedi would have noticed Corran's master's pull towards the Dark Side and would have kicked him out of the Army of Light. Possibly make his master a rogue Jedi operating on his own terms?

Is your profile pic Corran? If so, I can help you attach the picture to the profile. If not, perhaps you could find a face claim or describe him in more depth. What scars remain from when his master attacked him? He does have black hair and green eyes yes, but is the hair long or short? Are the eyes a light seafoam green or a deep forest green? etc.

Ya, I was having trouble thinking and tying the master and all that together. I will take your suggestion of a rogue Jedi and incorporate it.
And yes, my profile pic is what Corran would like in my mind.

Since there aren't really Jedi elements of the backstory anymore, this is fine. However, I will note that, generally as a rule, it is not possible to use both sides of the Force.

I like how the character's bio is set up now. Not the usual take on the "indie force user", nice job.
