Location Dromund Kaas, Central Military Hospital

She hadn't left the room today, still staying by the bedside. The medical staff said she was going to be recovering any day now, it was just a matter of when. That didn't exactly help their case when they tried to get her to leave, visiting hours didn't apply to Sith after all. She had an array of cupcakes laid out on the counter for Amur. She had baked just for the occasion, not like she had anything else to do for the time being. She had already been berated for her failings, and she was awaiting to hear from Mid to inform her of what to do next. It was a clear day for now in Dromund Kaas, which was rather unusual given that it was practically down pouring every day. She wasn't sure what she was going to say to the woman, what her answer would be for allowing the Mandalorian's to win all just to spare her life. It was most certainly frowned upon by the Sith, and honestly Kalanda was sure she would receive harsh words from her bedridden companion as well.

She had allowed her feelings to get in the way, she had been unable to risk losing someone she cared about. In that aspect, she was a failure. She looked at the still masked form beside her, wondering what Amur was going to say when she awoke. What was Kalanda going to say? The thought brought a scowl to the dark haired woman's features. Out of all of the Sith she had worked with, Amur was the only one she considered to be her 'friend'. Eithni was also her friend of course, a very very dear one at that, but Eithni didn't understand the life that she lead. Amur did, in some facet they had a shared suffering that made it easy for them to work together. Maybe it was just all in Kalanda's head, but that's what she felt at least. She wanted to know the woman behind the mask, to know who she was. Because she cared, which was exactly the source of their problem now. Still, nothing could be done about it, Kalanda had made her decision and that was that. The Acolyte's eyes went back to Amur, waiting for a sign of life.

Amur couldn't quite describe her time down in the subconscious. The circumstances that led her to this point were chaos really. She had wanted to defeat her foes, kept fighting to the last breath and keep going. Her body however failed her. Being knocked out by the concussive force of the grenade really the few seconds before that were a blur though she remembered trying to keep on fighting the next steps her body would of committed. Sometimes though the unfair nature of the world meant you couldn't get to do what you want. Still one could try for in a that was it meant to be a Sith.

There was also a feeling she had in her comatose. Sadness, regret, the mind clouding up in a haze trying to mask the feelings of pain and failure. It was odd she felt those feelings before but it was so long ago. Maybe six years at least. It felt fresh though, but kept dying down like last coughs of a campfire. Then in that hazy mindfield that both lasted forever and was gone in an instant she awoke to light. It was blinding but her lethargic mind was just registering being awake for the first time in who knows how long. A soft drowsy groan would escape her mouth as her eyes began to adjust to the light. Still uncomfortably bright but now she could kinda make out where she was.

It looked to be a medical room and judging by the fact she wasn't met with grueling pain or darkness meant she wasn't captured... or atleast that was what it looked like. Her eyes drifted to a figure who looked it could be Kalanda. It was hard to tell what she would want is some tea or coffee or anything to help wake her up. Still as her eyes focused she finally spoke.

"Where am I? What happened?" The words lazily exited her mouth as her body seemed to be slowly regaining normal conscious function. Still she really didn't care. She just wanted to know the Mandalorians were stopped and if Kalanda was safe. hmph. That felt like the first time she asked that kind of question in years.

The moment Amur began to move, Kalanda was at the bedside, standing over the railing, her hands gripping the sides of the medical bed as it was becoming evident her companion was starting to come to. She heard the confused muttered from behind the mask, as Kalanda reached down and took hold of the woman's hand. "You're on Dromund Kaas. I dragged you off the planet after I fought off the Mandalorians." Kalanda winced at her small lie, but it was going to be simpler than explaining herself. She was going to have to make a new lightsaber, and so was Amur for that matter, but that was something they could deal with later.

Kalanda squeezed Amur's hand tightly, trying to show her friend what little support she was able to give. "We lost the planet, but I managed to get you off world. You're safe now Amur." She forced herself to smile, as if that would make this whole situation better. "The doctors decided to leave your mask on once they learned you had no head injuries. Apparently every time they tried someone ended up getting stabbed. I knew better though, so no stab wounds for me." She was guessing that was some attempt at a joke, but honestly she didn't know. If anything she was just trying to be here for the woman, but she didn't really know how. "Oh, and, I baked you cupcakes too." Kalanda would leave out how long she had been staying at Amur's bedside, or how long she had worked to make said cupcakes for her friend. "Are you feeling okay? The doctor said you might have a bit of weakness and dizziness after waking up. You've been in a coma for well over a week." Kalanda just stayed afix in her position, before realizing she had been holding Amur's hand for perhaps a bit too long. She would awkwardly release the hold, slowly withdrawing her hand back. Could it be any more obvious that she was nervous?
