Czerka Mission: Giants of Industry

Another busy day, thought the CEO as the high speed shuttle punched out of orbit, clashing through the Atmosphere of Coruscant at exceptionally high speeds. It decelerated, coming into the Cityscape, the Droid brain mapping a swift path towards to the HQ Building at which todays' meeting would take place. Voren Makr, the CEO and Chairman of the Company that went by the name of Czerka, was looking forward to this board meeting - for the Companies top layer had a great deal to discuss.

Stepping off the Shuttle he walked in through the security doors found at the top of the tower that served as the companies home, ignoring the Security guard who met him on the way in, to set on the meeting ahead of him. Walking into the board room itself, he smiled as the assembled Directors got to their feet, some of whom he rarely met, others serving simply in an advisory capacity to the board.

Taking his seat, he signaled for the others to do likewise, and watched as the Security team did their final sweep for bugs, before they in turn departed, taking positions by the room exits. The lights came on as the viewing ports to the world outside slid shut, and the communication jammer kicked in. As of now, there was no way a recording could be taken, or anyone outside of the room eavesdrop on what was being said within it.

Czerka took their security seriously, lest they loose their competitive edge over their rivals - and it was shown here. He opened his file, the notes for the meeting inside. ''Ladies and Gentlemen of the Board, welcome to Coruscant. I know that some of you have come far to be here today, and I am pleased to say that Czerka can report good news once more. As 50% owner of our Class A Shares, I can say - good news!'' he said, a few of the Directors laughing at the obvious reference to his own wealth.

''We have see operations started on Tatooine, Kashyyyk, Correllia and Coruscant with plans underway for Endor, and operations to commence a take-over of the 'Serv-O Droid' Company on our operation manufacturing worlds. However, there is only so much I can update you on at this stage, and so I ask our Security, Capital, Logistics and Reseach Directors for their input also, please?'' he inquired, before falling silent.

As he did so, drinks were poured out by the surrounding staff, who stood 'to attention' in the corners of the room. One of which he took, alongside a large pungent cigar. Lighting it, he awaited the reports from the Directors.

Devar Gorchev sat leaning back in his nerf-hide chair. One arm crossed in front of his chest, the other his hands resting on his chin in a thoughtful manner. He had only gotten out of this position to stand up when Voren entered and the second he sat back down he resumed his pose. The CEO gave his speal and a few of the "minor" directors followed giving updates on their particular areas of expertise. The room soon went quite and it appeared it was Devar's turn. Devar stood up and swept the room with his single eye.

Devar didn't feel he needed to introduce himself as the Director of R&D so he simply started his presentation. From his suit Devar pulled a small controller. He pressed a button and a holo materialized from the holo projector in the middle of the large table. A few different pieces of tech flashed on the holo in quick succession. "We have a large amount of new tech in development.. However that's not the most exciting new I have for today." Devar explained.

"We have discovered that a forest moon located around a gas giant, known as Endor, has a population of small furry creatures." A picture of the moon and then the small furry creatures appeared on the holo. "They are called Ewoks and their fur is luxurious. I have plans to experiment on it and hopefully turn it into the latest fashion and I also believe it can be used for bags and bedding. But those are not what I think we will make the most money on. These will be our biggest money makers." Devar said pausing a moment for suspense before bringing up a new holo. The holo now revolving in the center of the table was a miniature toy like version of the Ewok that had just occupied the board's vision. "Yes, this is a child's toy. I call it Hello Ewok. It is a stuff toy version of the real thing and its made of real Ewok fur." Devar explained.

After taking a drink of water from a glass Devar continued. "Children will not be able to resist these cute and cuddly toys and thus their parents will have no choice but to buy them." Devar finished his presentation on Endor and moved onto the next two topics. The first was future plans to explore a recently discovered gas giant which was suspected to contain tibanna gas. The second was Devar's own idea, although it would be far in the future before it could be implemented, for a luxury cruise line. Czerka would design build and operate a line of luxury liners to ferry the Galaxies richest tourist around.

"On the front of Capital" Nahr said. "I have just come from our meeting with PriceCorp, and all the documents have been signed. This means ALL of their contracts are now in possession of Czerka to do with as we see fit."

Dr. Nahr then proceeded to discuss the the economic status of Czerka, particularly with the stocks with his typical set of charts and graphs. Czerka stock prices were on the rise with Czerka, the market as a whole however was down slightly which further evidenced the strength of Czerka. Dr. Nahr stated that at some point, Czerka may want to consider a stock split to ensure a steady stream of new investors. However, it wasn't too important at this point. What did matter was profits were on the rise and that would make everyone happy.

"Finally, we are still in negotiations on Corellia regarding the maglev. I will have more to report on that once more information comes in."
