COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:
Standing some five feet seven inches, Dain is a bit on the tall side for his age, though not oddly so. Perhaps as a result of his height, he has a rather lean physique. His skin carries the tinge of forest green that is common to all of his species, and he sports several patches of diamon-within-diamond tattoos on his upper arms and down the right side of his face. Keeping his padawan braid to one side of his face, the rest of his black hair is kept in a loose ponytail.
Dain favours clothing that combines the traditional jedi tunic with styles from his own homeworld. Though not a vain person, the clothing nonetheless serves to accentuate his own handsomeness. Mostly shades of burgundy and tan, his tunic features shoulder pads of a slightly thicker cloth than the rest of the garment, and the utility belt he tends to wear features a holster for his blaster. Tan trousers and a pair of under-knee bantha leather boots round out his normal outfit.
PERSONALITY:
Dain is a rather serious young man who, having attached himself to the jedi code, is eager to follow it, and has a tendency to try and evaluate his actions within the code. This rigidity has caused him some problems in the past, and even some of his peers have advised him to lighten up a bit. This proves difficult for Dain, though he does try on occasion.
On a more personal level, Dain tries to be sociable with other padawans, but his attempts tend to come off as stiff. It's not for lack of trying, but simply because he lacks the social skills nessescary. He also tends to get mildly depressed, particularly when struggling with a lesson or test, as he feels that such failings are prohibiting him from becoming a Jedi.
He does have a soft spot for young children. After a training mission as an apprentice that took himself and several others to an orphanage on a poor industrial world, he resolved that, even more than adults, he would do everything in his power to aid children in need.
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Dain strives to be an excellent padawan, with perhaps mixed results. As such, he has spent many long hours practicing, and developing his skills, particularly in lightsaber combat.
Dain suffers from severe insomnia, most likely as a result of his childhood. When he is able to sleep, he is frequently plagued by nightmares, none of which make any sense to him. Meditation has not helped him control these nightmares, and he is frequently tired thought the day as a result.
BIOGRAPHY:
Dain was born on Miraial to uncertain parents. When he was five years old, he was taken by a Jedi to the temple on Tython, and raised in the nursery with the other novices. He remembers very little of his life before this, only his nightmares provide the slightest clue as to how he was found by the jedi or why he was taken, and even then, all he sees is fire...a raging inferno.
His training as an apprentice was exciting for Dain, and he threw himself into the ideals of being a Jedi. He found that he had a flair for lightsaber combat, a talent which he has honed as best he can thus far.
Having just reached the age of fifteen, Dain is eager to be selected as a padawan learner by a Jedi Knight, and continue his training...
