EMPEROR DRAST
BIOGRAPHY
Born on Coruscant in 115 ABY to Morno Emer-Drast, the ambassador for Raxus, and Carla Emer-Drast (née Lorso), Davik grew up surrounded by politicians. Senators of the northern galaxy often visited to discuss galactic affairs with his parents and his privileged upbringing afforded him the best opportunities in academia. Davik never joined the Raxus Military, not even to serve a traditional symbolic few years upon graduating its academy. No, as an Emer-Drast he was destined to move into the world of politics.
Over the years he acquired -in part thanks to the already significant influence of his parents- quite the political standing among his peers and when the Sith Empire came for what it viewed as its ancestral home planets, Davik managed to play his cards right and became the first Imperial Moff of Raxus. Over the years as Sith influence waned and cries for persecution grew louder, it was Davik's work behind-the-scenes that kept the Empire its initially alotted seats in the Galactic Senate.
Eventually he became the first Grand Moff of the Imperial Diplomatic Corps and sat on the Imperial Council together with the Director of the Imperial Security Bureau and the Grand Marshal of the Imperial Armed Forces. He voted in favor of the Grand Marshal's move to expel the Sith Order from the Empire, making it an unanimous decision.
As the New Empire refound its footing, three things became more clear with every passing moon. The Empire needed an Emperor. The Director of the Imperial Security Bureau, who seemed primed for the role, disappeared and the Grand Marshal due to his history as a member of the Sith Order and his noted training in the Force could not possibly ascend to the throne while at the same time keeping their still fragile Empire intact. There was only one option.
Davik Emer Drast became the new Emperor.
