Any other day, Jace would've said that he knew his home planer of Bandomeer like the back of his hand. He had grown up amidst the streets of Bandor, learning his way around the local politics due to the influence of his father. He had spent time in the various mines, first watching the worker's produce Ionite under the close supervision of his mother, then negotiating with the executives in order to secure the support that he had needed in his bid for Senator. He had traversed the wilds of the planet as well, taking in its natural beauty and reminding himself that it was just a small part of the Republic that he protected.

Any other day besides today, that is. For today Jace was heading into the parts of Bandor that he had never needed to enter before. The Red light district, home to the infamous Meerian Black Market. One of the local gangs, the Eclipse, had committed an unprecedented crime, stealing enough Ionite to buy a small Capital Ship after it had been sold on inflated Black Market prices. Jace knew just as well as the gang did that the local government would never be able to stop them if they stayed within regular procedure. As far as anyone was concerned, it was as good as gone.

But Jace wasn't one to stick with regular procedure. No, he was the kind of man who saw an opportunity to be had from this instead. He had pulled what strings he had to find a prominent member of the Eclipse, and had succeeded in arranging a meeting. If he played his cards right, he'd be able to get the Ionite back from the gang, and the corrupt executives who would otherwise have owned it. Once in his possession, the profits from the goods would go a long way towards fueling his efforts in keeping the republic alive.

Of course, he knew better than to meet someone so dangerous without proper precautions. The man, a Meerian by the name of GenFal, had made it clear that each party would only be permitted to bring a single guard to the meeting.

And what better guard could Jace procure than a Jedi?

He had reached out to the women Lyanna Vahlaar, a Knight who was already hunting the Eclipse for reasons not for the man's own ears, and informed her that the meeting might be an ideal opportunity for her as well. That was all that it had taken, and she had agreed to meet him here, just outside the Red Light District.

All there was to do now, was wait for her to arrive.

Heavy rain had poured down just some few hours ago, and even though the tempest had calmed down, the air was still impregnanted by subtle moistness. The fine watery dust that hung in the streets dimmed the bright red and pink lights of this force forsaken place and turned their cones of light into something almost innocent. So many emotions reached Lyanna. Desperation of the ones captured here by either physical force or by lack of choice, superficial joy of young and intoxicated spirits, and lust, as intensly felt like only in sweet union. Not so sweet for the second participating part however.
The Vahlaar shielded herself from the surrounding thoughts and feelings. Partly because she was powerless to change the fate of this living goods, partly because there was an even more urgent matter to be taken care of.

Light, flowing pace of seemingly effortless elegance led her to the agreed on meeting spot. Black trousers and sturdy linen, as well as a corsett and bracers made of tanned leather would serve her as armor. Lyanna wasn't fond of heavy plates. They impendend her swiftness and interfered with her agility. Being quick was the most reliable armor this galaxy had to offer. Weightless, woven out of speed and the grace of the force. No, she didn't need plates.
A loose, half-length coat in dark purple made sure she waas beyond the chilling breeze. Her bright orbs darted towards the man that had contacted her. They were about the same height Lyanna supposed. His face betrayed his experience as his features possessed something boyish, almost innocent. Short cut hair, the way many military man used to wear it. Dark Eyes, that contained a lively spark which was recognizable even from afar.
Lyanna approached him, her expression reserved and professional. Only when she noded as a greeting the right corner of her mouth curled up to do her duty and show the courtesy were due to a Senator. He looked young. Regarding his position this could mean only two things. Supportive background inclusive finacially strong partens, or he simply was good. If he waas so in a moral way she would see in time, but she surely had shown great promise in his early years. Lyanna was in no way late, yet her counterpart had been here even earlier. Quite the politician, truely.
"Forgive me senator. I hope I didn't keep you waiting too long?" her voice was hushed. In areas like this, you never knew who's ears were listening...

"Never my dear." The man replied to Lyanna, making a small show of kneeling before her. "I've not been here longer than a few minutes, and besides, how could I ever regret spending time waiting in Bandor." He rose again, looking her over while simultaneously hiding the fact that he was doing so. The women was certainty more than any of the guards that he was used to, her lack of armor speaking volumes about her confidence or perhaps simply her mobility. Either way, he wouldn't be surprised if GenFal (who would no doubt bring a guard sporting the best tech he could steal) would peg her for a Jedi before even spotting anything as obvious as a Lightsaber. Even as he noted such combat-related details, he also spotted an air of reservation and formality about her. He might even gone so far as to say there was an air of complete coldness and hostility. Yet even among all of that, Jace could spot that same intensity that motivated his own actions, hopefully he had spotted it correctly.

"We had best be moving though, even if I am happy to see the sights of Bandomeer, I do not believe that GenFal shares my tastes."

When he knelt she regarded him with subtle wonder. Then she laughed. It was a rare sound, and yet its rich melody carried wide and was pleasant to listen to.
"I wish I had make you wait in another district however." she admitted "I think neither one of use is a common sight in an...area like this"
If she really thought he was too honorable to have ever been a visitor to a brothel or if she just wanted to flatter him was not quite clear.
Flank on flank the entered the district. The streets were filled with women of species, shape and skin-colour. A young Twi-Lek with vibrant red skin and quite revealiing clothes approached them in an vulgar way. "No thank you, nontheless we wish you good luck on your..search for romance tonight" Lyanna brushed her off like that. Several approaches of that sort followed, till Lyanna couldn't help but to tell her companion "It appears you are more tempting prey than the Ladies here are used to" It was not his fault though. Lyanna still pitied the poor souls here.
"You know I need to thank you. I'm after the Eclipse for quite some time myself. You grant me the opportunity to learn the information I'm looking for for so long"
A smile accoampanied her words, and this time it did make her eyes shine with genuine gratefulness.
