Yeah this thread has gone astoundingly smoothly so thanks to all involved!

Quoted for massive emphasis. You guys have been incredible. I am honestly so proud of all of you for just getting on with the job, RPing with one another and writing a kickass battle in the process. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this thread will probably be referenced in future as an example of how to behave in battles correctly, and that a lot of members (myself included!) can learn a lot from this thread.

Yep, tho it's probably more for the sake the opposing faction than the fear that he'd go "lol we win suckaz", or at least I'd imagine so. People with mod/admin status are a lot of times practiced in being unbiased, but it still might make the other side uneasy (and understandably so) for a player on the enemy side to have the last say.

Hate to be this guy, but Rebels didn't really have free reign over the facility, given that main compound was very well guarded with Galad's reserve platoons and other personnel who are very much alive since Rebels never set foot there throughout the battle. Just pointing this out, since Phoenix's last couple of sentences in his concluding post made it look like a different scenario. We had no time to react due to time-out which means they can have a false influence over the ultimate decision by the admins. No offense, just pointing this out to clarify, I enjoyed the battle as much as everybody else!

While it has already been said before, this battle was awesome! Every time I opened the thread my stomach would be fluttering with dread at what Phoenix would post next, aND with excitement as I read the epic battle of wits between Galad and Korvo. Regardless of the outcome, I really enjoyed this thread. Thank-you Galax for being a great teammate, and thank-you Phoenix and Korvo's for being amazing opponents.

May the best woman win!

EDIT: After reading the Phoenix's last post, I would like to point out that in my previous post I described Sara stepping back out of the room immediately after throwing her grenade, which would have taken away any opportunity for Tal to aim and fire at her.

As a final note to address both Galad and Moheep's concerns: At Moheep, the reason i wrote that is because Tal was one of the first people to fire so he would have been shooting before (or at least simultaneously) to Sara throwing the grenade and she then had to guide the grenade with the Force to make sure it went off properly. That would be long before she ever stepped out of the the room and since there was no mention of the shot at all in any capacity i believe the rules are that if you ignore an attack it is a hit. Though I doubt she's dead either way. But that's why i wrote what i did.

At Galad, you may be right, but the Rebels just outnumbered the troopers in one of the hallways 50 to 12. And actually that was the second post talking about that hallway so there had already been one response regarding it and after that response by Moheep, the fight was still 50 to 12. If you're surrounded with nowhere to retreat to and outnumbered five to one, i think the outcome is somewhat inevitable, even if you're stormtroopers. Which led me to my conclusion which was if that hallway fell, it would give the Rebels free reign of the facility.

Hope that explains to everyone what I meant a little clearer! That said both of these things are going to an admin ruling anyway so its up to them now i suppose.

Edit: Also if my attack on Sara is in fact upheld as a hit, that means we took a second of the three hallways. That being said, I will admit that that is all based on the fact that my last post is upheld in full and it is just my perception of the battle.

No problem mate. I just meant to say that those few last sentences were written in a manner that would imply a total victory was about to follow for the Rebel side. That's what I thought at least , it may differ from person to person ofc. It's up to the admins from now on at any case.

First off, I would like to give everyone in this thread a big thank you! This OoC was a prime example of teamwork, playing fairly, and overall just having a good time in the story! Its teamwork like this that FL and Admins look at when you pursue higher ranks or shooting for leadership positions on the site. Again, awesome job!

So, ruling:

There was a lot that was happening in here, but I think I got a good general understanding of what was happening between players. In the future, lets try to have a base layout in the opening posts, that way everyone knows where everything is, thank you to Galad for not letting the story get too far without describing the base layout. Making sure to describe this detail at the begin helps prevent other members from positioning your characters without your consent, it helps put everyone on the same page as to where everything is placed in the scene.

Given the structure is on a volcanic planet, its safe to assume that most aerial attacks were warded off by shields, since this building would need to be fairly protected from lava. Though with the amount of internal explosions everyone was setting off, there is definitely enough damage done inside the building that would cause the place to shut down, therefore allowing the shields to shut down too, which in turn allows for a decent amount of damage from the aerial attacks. Due to how lightly guarded Sarapin was, the Rebels would hold the upper hand and Sarapin has taken a significant amount of damage.

However, due to the importance of the world, the Imperium has frequent transports that come in and out of the system in order to supply the core worlds. The Imperium will be alerted to the Rebellion's presence within the hour, if not sooner.

As for the characters, Sara Rain was wounded by Tal Veran and taken captive. Galad was also overwhelmed by numbers and taken captive also by the Rebels. Please work together to discuss how you guys want to proceed with story with your characters.

Looks good to me - just one quick question - when you say the imperium would be alerted to the rebellion's presence within the hour, do you mean that within that hour the rest of the imperium would have this knowledge, or that within that hour a ship would enter and detect the rebel forces and damage to the facility?

Basically I'm trying to figure out what kind of response time the Imperium would have here and whether or not the Armada would be able to pass through the system in the time frame you described etc.
