BIOGRAPHY

Keven Hallwell was born on the planet of Onderon, during the latter half of the Hundred Year Darkness. Like many other children across the galaxy, young Keven grew up under considerable threat. His family was a distant and often-forgotten sect of House Nomar, separated enough to be almost another family altogether. Unlike House Nomar however, House Hallwell saw the writing on the wall early, and simply vanished before the subsequent purging of the Nomars from Onderon, and retreated to an obscure estate on the far side of the world. Keven and his two brothers were lectured and tutored endlessly by a rotating carousel of family tutors, many of which were driven off by their antics. Additionally, as a practical nod to the troubled times they lived, they hired a veteran of the war, Henry Hastings to teach the kids some basic self-defense, obviously swearing him to utmost secrecy. What they never expected was how much Keven thrived.

It was not that the young Onderionion was some sort of combat savant or brilliant strategist. Rather, it was the sheer enthusiasm with which the boy threw himself into drill after drill that surprised them, and his seemingly endless appetite for more combat. What was initially a simple self-defense course grew into rifle practice, basic training in vibro-blades, and stealth classes. Attempts to limit or curdle this desire were ultimately futile, and his parents ultimately threw up their hands in disgust and allowed Keven to become a soldier, rather than the elegant nobleman they had envisioned.

Eventually, however, Keven grew up, and at the age of 18 the young man was raring to go, leaving his House at the earliest opportunity, assuming the moniker of Denys Astley. For three years he served faithfully in the Peacekeepers, ecstatic that he was finally free from the cramped atmosphere of his childhood, only experiencing the occasional twinge at the stories of the villainous House Nomar. Keven's overeager attitude towards his duties served him well, and he was eventually promoted from the ranks of cannon-fodder to more elite posts.

One of the final lessons “Denys” learned on his homeworld was the fact that everything could change in an instant.

Denys was eventually deployed in a clandestine operation along with his squad, told that they were rooting out traitorous elements in the backwaters of the planet. He was told that it was a simple smash and grab, and the squad would deliver the suspects for "questioning" afterward. Efficiently working through the isolated manor, the squad eventually arrived at the doors what the believed to be the dining room of the building. It was only when Denys walked into the well-appointed room when he learned the truth. His family was huddled in the corner, dead his friend’s guns.

Stumbling back to the barracks in a haze, the young soldier was asked to join his commanding officer in his office. It was only then that they told him they had recently become aware of his family's relation to the Nomars, and his true identity. But rather than disturb the public, it had been decided to simply rid themselves of these remnants of the wars. Getting to the point, his commander offered him a choice, pretend like his cover story was true, and continue serving the military, or die here, today. The only reason this was even being offered was because of the want to project the unified exterior of the peacekeepers and they both knew it. Denys accepted though it tore a hole in him.

Denys was horrified, broken, totally disillusioned with the monarchy and the system he had so blindly served. All he could think to do was run, and took the next ship off-planet, not caring where it was headed. After a year or so, Denys eventually arrived at a volcanic back-water named Sho-Torun, where he heard rumblings of rebellion against the rulers of the world. It sounded like something a man of his talents would be interested in, one way or the other.

Personality
Denys is a rather simple figure, compared to the esoteric and complex philosophies of the force-users that he has heard cursed all his life. He is normally an eager individual, and a bit too trusting at times. However, this rather naive outlook on life has been tempered by the betrayal he recently suffered and has tried to temper this outlook with a gruff exterior, forcing his energy into survival. Denys is loyal to a fault, and if someone has earned his service, they can be assured it will be carried out in full. One of Denys's major weaknesses, however, is complex social situations. Despite extensive training in his youth by his noble parents, Denys just was never that good at dinner parties or heart-to-heart chats. He tends to just avoid these encounters.
Skills
Due to private training in his youth, and more stringent training during his stint in the peacekeepers, Denys is reasonably skilled using all of the weapons he carries on him, along with basic hand-to-hand combat. When engaged in a melee duel, he prefers duel-wielding twin vibroblades, keeping his opponent on their toes with a flurry of strikes.

Nice profile! I would add links to the gear you have listed if I were you, but I don't believe that is necessary in any way.
