Well folks, you know the drill. Blah blah responsibility, blah blah decreased time. It happens to everyone. Now it's my turn, so things seem.

I've got a nifty bit of stuff on my plate. At my High School, I've got plenty of work alone to keep me busy, now with the second semester kicking into action, with a Chemistry and Trigonometry class demanding a lot of attention. As the Treasurer of our chapter of the National Honor Society, I'm also responsible for keeping track of the income and expenditures of our upcoming fund-raiser. I additionally need to write up an 800-word essay on a certain novel for English Class by April on a large book. And of course, as with all High School students, I'm still working on my ACT score. First time I took, which was this last December, I made a 24 on it, but that's not good enough when your family's poor and can't pay a lick of college fees, so I need a higher score to start bringing in the scholarships.

All in all, I've got plenty of things to keep me busy, some of which may very well dictate my future, and as such, I need to dedicate time to these things. Now, don't fret and think I'm leaving the site. No no, don't want things to get boring around here, do I?

No, but there will be somewhat of a decrease in my activity on here, and there may be times when I'm a bit slow to reply to certain threads. Knowing how great I am at procrastination, I'll undoubtedly be on here at least once a day, but as I stated, I may be a bit slow on posting time. My threads may run a bit slower than normal, but I will be able to respond to PMs and VMs as rapidly as I usually do.

Good luck with your ACT! my first was a 27 but I studied and came back with a 31. From what I remember, the average increase is about 2-5 points between tests. Oh, big thing; apply for anything and everything regarding scholarships. I had friends get lucky and get some that they didn't even consider themselves eligible. Also... I'm not gonna try and recruit you but, keep in mind the military offers Tuition Assistance even if you're in reserves or guard. While I was in highschool I never thought I'd be active military but here I am, and actually enjoying it too :D. My point is, don't over stress yourself with the pressure that highschool puts on you. There are a million different ways to get to college but school only tells you of a few of them. Keep your head up, game face on, and study hard if you need to but also find time to relax and cool down when you can. Good luck and best wishes!

Yeah, it's a good bit of stuff to keep me occupied thoroughly. And thanks, man!

Thanks, bro. I'm hoping I can get an increase of at least 4 points on the ACT, because, as far as I know, that's right around where some colleges start offering the big bucks when it comes to scholarship money. I'm doing my best to keep an eye on scholarships I might qualify for, and also, since I require financial aid for college and have to fill out the old FAFSA, I'm hoping I can grab some pell grants, since I'm relying scholarships for college, and staying as far away from student loans as I can.

I've had a few family members in the military, but I've not put too much thought into joining. But you raise a valid point with Tuition Assistance. Perhaps if I can't hike my score up or manage to spot the scholarships I need, the military may be a good option. All I know is, college is a must for me, so I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get there.
