DESCRIPTION
The DR-Series Diagnosis Droids, are essentially stripped down, cheaper and easier to maintain astromech droids. If one lacks the space for a full astromech unit, or doesn't need the capacity for co-piloting, a diagnosis droid is a good purchase. Their core purpose is to survey mechanical engineering, such as that found in starships or computing, and dictate to the user (via binary) what the problem is. If the user is unable to understand binary/droidspeak, then the droid will have to be connected to an external output to translate such 'speech' into Galactic Basic, or an appropriate language. Essentially, a small box with legs and an 'eye', available in a modicum of colours, that walks around a ship, office space or other place that may require electrical faults to be diagnosed, using tiny magnetic 'feet' to navigate. While DR-Series droids are remarkably simple, the later models come programmed with pseudo-personalities, to enable them to act more like pets; mostly due to the fact that the early models were kicked around and abused so much, due to their lightweight nature, and cheapness of replacement.

LEGALITY
Legal as any other astromech droid or similar, in all civilised sectors.

INTENT
The intent for this droid, is to create something incredibly basic, for those who have absolutely no need for an astromech, but would still like some sort of robotic companion. DR-Series droids work well alongside talented pilot or engineer characters, who either don't have the space or requirement to justify an Astromech. In addition to this, they make great pets for those characters who would otherwise forget to feed a Massiff.

ADVANCED TECH
NO. One of the cheapest droids available on the market, easily broken and replaced.
