HEIGHT: 2 meters
WEIGHT: 100 kgs
EYES: Blue
HAIR: Bald (naturally brown)

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: none (yet)

STRENGTH: Possessing a large frame, he has had little to test his body in his life, and has yet to tap into the strength he may yet hold. While not terribly out of shape, the young man does lack well defined muscles.
DEXTERITY: The one attribute Varrick prides himself on, he belies his larger size with distinct nimbleness both in tactile flexibility and overall agility.
CONSTITUTION: Despite not being notably large or muscled, he has rarely fallen victim to illness or infection, and is more tough than he gives himself credit for.
INTELLIGENCE: A sharp mind, he has none-the-less be fairly unchallenged for most of his life. He picks up things quickly, but is relatively uneducated.
WISDOM: Varrick's youth and relative isolation from much of the galactic conflicts have left him somewhat unlearned in the ways of the universe.
CHARISMA: Varrick lacks any touch with natural charisma, for although he has great ambitions, he has thus far not learned just how to interact with others outside of a strict hierarchy.

PERSONALITY:
Varrick is eager to learn, deferential to those who hold higher stations than himself and can offer him ways to better himself. Believes in an authoritarian system, but this is tempered by the desire to be the one with the authority. Possesses an almost fanatic belief in the righteousness of the Dark Side, and in his own destiny with it. Is scornful of those who do not share his belief, and those who do not share his enthusiasm for it. Lacks sophisticated social skills, and often resorts to enthusiastic zealotry or brooding silence.

BIOGRAPHY:
Born the only son of a low-born merchant, Drell was often fawned upon as a child by both parents, usually to the exclusion of his two sisters, who did not appreciate his elevated status. Picked on by the girls, he was none-the-less given much of everything the family could afford, for both parents wanted only what was best for him, and in this they agreed to put him on track for higher levels of education. Yet the boy did not share their enthusiasm, and quickly came into conflict with the other members of his family over his daily school life and the problems he would create therein.

Under increasingly strict conditions, Drell managed to get by, though the unwanted attentions and emphasis of his parents on his education, coupled with the emotional abuse hurled upon him by the jealous sisters, led to him shutting himself down emotionally. He began to affect an air of detachment and fleeting interest, which most of the adults interpreted as knuckling down to his studies, and so took positively to his changes. While it was true that his grades improved, this was mostly due to his lack of choice: without the freedom to let himself be free, he had little options but to bow to the social pressure.

This sorry state continued well into his university career, until he became introduced to the Lords of the Sith of antiquity. He became fascinated by their emotional freedom and imperial ambitions, and took to the subject like nothing before. Far from being the academic catalyst his parents had been hoping for, Drell began to leave his studies neglected, his grades falling into failure as his time was spent alone in the libraries and data-archives. He poured over everything, imagining himself in every page. He altered his style of dress to mimic those of certain historical figures that took his interest, drawing strange and worrying glances from those unused to seeing a young man walking the bright halls in flowing black robes with the hood drawn. His fascination grew into obsession, and when, at last, he was summoned before a council of academics to account for his neglect, he insulted their narrow-mindedness, and turned his back on them all.

Taking what funds he had been given to pursue his career in schooling, the young man set out chartering ship after ship, traveling from one record archive to another, chasing an ever-expanding knowledge of the Sith. He shaved his head in mimicry of some of his favorite Sith Lords, and began to spend time in the mirror looking into his own eyes, willing the icy blue to give way to the burning amber so often cited by his books.

Yet, for all this it did not occur to him until well after a year into his search that he would need to be force-sensitive if ever he hoped to join the ranks of the Sith. He had never considered attempting anything along such lines before, and his emotionally stunted youth had barred him from opportunities to notice anything relevant. The young man was overjoyed when, after hours of frustrated staring at a tin cup, he at last managed to fling the light drinking vessel without touch. The fact that it was only after his frustration had given way to anger was not lost on Drell, and he considered the feat to be the catalyst for a grand future.

Taking what he had left of his funds (his forlorn family having long since lost track of him), he began to research the Sith of the modern age; within a week he had the destinations in mind, and a vessel chartered. No longer would he fantasize about the figures of the past; now, he would make the pages of history burn with his name.

The character seems solid, if you're looking for a master, and you're active, feel free to shoot me a PM. ^-^
I'm on multiple times a day generally. Silen won't teach you how to be the worlds' greatest bladesmaster. But she can make you a giant in the force.

I appreciate the offer, but Arcturus was kind enough to take me on. If anything changes, I'll give you a shout.
